@@SnackInvestigationUnit for you knowledge, lichi although have sweet tangy taste, but if consumed more than 400-500gm could reduce your blood sugar drastically.
In northern India kids eats it alot and fall sick to Japanese encephalitis. So after research it was found out that lichi reduces blood sugar and thus make them sick.
True...they will â€ïž
Here's a little suggestion to make your dessert way better : Gently warm up your Gulab Jamun (microwave for few seconds) and try it along with a scoop of Vanilla IceCream
, You could do the same with Jalebi! Thank me later!! XD
Exactly..
I've only ever had them hot from my restaurant. I couldn't imagine cold lol. I've gotten them a few times from the restaurant where they were lukewarm/room temp and while still good, it was still a night and day difference from hot.

Guys I think you should definitely come to India after this Covid situation is over.
When youâll taste freshly made sweets or street food youâll forget these....because mostly every sweet in India is made to be eat freshly and the canned ones neither have that flavour nor the texture in comparison to freshly made.
Also try making it at home, my mom says food tastes better when you make it on your own, and youâll understand Indian cuisine more.
Some suggestions;
Try Desi Chinese (easy to make at home)
Maggi special masala (you loved maggi in pervious video)
South Indian food (specially coconut chutney)
Kabab and all
And many more dishes because what you have tried till now is not even 1% of the Indian cuisine.
Also Indian cuisine in not limited to Butter chicken, shahi paneer, dal makhni, etc.
Indian cuisine have that many dishes that if you try one different dish everyday youâll have spend more than lifetime trying everything dishes.
Every Indian dish have itâs own story to tell.
So try to come to India and explore our culture.
FYI India is the country of colours, festivals, cuisine, religion, spices, story and languages.
Every kitchen in India has itâs own recipes, dishes and modified dishes.
Thereâs so much to explore about India and in India.
Indian can write a whole book if asked to write an essay on India, so this comment is a rice grain compared to the knowledge every Indian have of our country.
You are absolutely true!
kurkure is the universal snacks everywhere in alcohol parties

We got lots of suggestions and help at our local Indian market for what to try - we know there are many more but we did our best for this one and will do more too! Also - we couldn't resist trying another flavor of Kurkure.
Please try Next time Somosa đđ
Oh yaas ! Ofc! Baam!!! You guys gotta try chilli and green chutney flavours.
Umm đ flavour is just not my type, but u guys can try one by one.
The Kurkure which you tried is the most famous one here..and canned sweets are awful pls donât try them ..if possible go to an Indian restaurant there and try even jalebis ..then maybe youâll get the actual taste of it. @FamilySnackReviews

If you're hating a laddoo, there's something wrong with it. Boondi Laddoos are love.
I agree
It's probably because it was frozen. Cold ladoos are gross mostly because the ghee solidifies and it becomes kinda greasy. Even when it's defrosted, the freezing process really destroys the ladoos texture. Also sometimes the sugar crystallises and that's weird although I haven't seen it happen with mootichoor ladoos.
Source: Used to live abroad in my childhood and so we'd bring a looot of sweets from India every vacation and then we'd eat it for months. And obviously after the first 2 weeks we had to put it in the fridge/freezer.
I think, it might cooked in ghee (clarified butter).
But besan are best
I am not a fan of Motichoor ke Laddoo either, love bhoondi and besan way more
YOU WILL FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN HEAVEN ONCE YOU TASTE THE FRESHEST "MOTI CHOOR LADOO".... I can understand why that Ladoo is not so good because there is a lot of difference between fresh and non-fresh Ladoo
The kurkure you tasted are actually the original one from which they started and they are most liked kurkure version in India

The syrup is same, but the recipe of the solids is waaay different. I mean way different!! đ watching your video for the first time and I am subscribing!đđŒđđŒđ
Actually, they are the SAME syrup, no difference.
Gulab Jamun & Rasgula are my most favourite đ€€đ€€
Same
Moti chur laddoos are made with runny gram flour put through a strainer with large holes in it in a pot of hot oil and those drops of flour batter forms into tiny yellow balls.
These balls are then soaked in sugar syrup with a bit of cardamom powder and saffron. Once it soaks the syrup. They are made into small balls aka laddoos which you are guys having â€đ

A little tip for jalebis...... Take a small bowl, put lukewarm milk in it and then put the jalebi in the milk. Let it soak for a while until it swells up and enjoy the jalebi with milk. It's called doodh jalebi in India.
That's definitely not how we eat it over here at West Bengal
@@specificgod3627 or any other states too
I suggest don't do that. It will totally ruin your Jalebis.
I'm a gujarati and I eat it that way. And no, it doesn't ruin jalebis.
Oh mystery of the crap jalebi unraveled XD
Oh my god..If I had Badam Milk without the bits of Badam(Almond) in it , I think I would lodge a complaint with the company! đđI guess its just that we are so used to eating exactly what the description says that the expectation is always high.
Laddoo is made by hand rolling hot fried chickpea flour tiny balls known in India as boondi...looks like small shiny yellow pearls thats why Moti choor .....Moti is pearl in Indian language....so these minuscule balls are fried in ghee and dipped in sugar syrup and then hand rolled in balls know as Laddoos....a popular traditional festive sweet, auspicious also as gifts and great for exchanging pleasantries during festivals like Diwali, Marriages and also presented to Gods especially Lord Ganesh đđđ do watch a Laddoo making video....
Masala Munch ( orange pack) is đ„.
By far the most loved in India.
I think you should give Gulab Jamun and Rosgulla once again, albeit fresh out of oven and not the packed tins.
Maybe once pandemic is over and we can travel again in 2022, you guys should make to quick trip to India and experience the culinary delight my country has to offer.
11:50 that Soan Papdi is like Cottan candy doesn't it??
Pistachio is a flavour added and mostly you'll found the toppings of pistachio on these products, same as the Milk sweet u tried today the -"RASMALAI" with toppings of pistachio on it
Kurkure is quite popular.... Almost all parties its served with soft of hard drinks.
Try one thing with gulab jamun. Heat it in oven and put vanilla ice cream over it and then see how you feel about the gulab jamun.
Overall.... Jalebi, gulab jamun, soan papdi, rasgulla, Kurkure, peanut chikki, are very popular in India.... Rest all are type of just ok ok...
You have to come to India to actually try the real flavours. Frozen sweets do not retain freshness and taste. I love that you guys love Indian food really good content. â€ïž and try fresh Haldiram Sweets from the city of Nagpur.

Our associations with sweets form templates (chocolatish, candy, fudge, etc.) early in our lifetimes, which might make it difficult to make sense of sweets beyond those templates later in life. Moreover, the richness and complexities of Indian sweets are extremely tied to their regional histories and geographies. Take a trip to India, and let its different regions delight your sweettooth with their myriad favorites - all prepared fresh!
I can totally understand your reaction with the laddoo. Itâs a very different style of food that what u hv outside India. And the flavour is very traditional. I know so many young kids today who arenât the biggest fans coz now they consume western sweets on a more regular basis. Btw we have laddoo usually during celebrations or religious stuff. And there are literally a 100 types of them!
Fresh made sweets are amazing than the canned ones. My suggestion would be to try and check with some indian restaurants who can make fresh sweets as its delicious and I bet you would love it. Next up on the list would be some Indian food but do make sure to ask them to make it less spicy so that you can enjoy it. Loads of love and blessings from India.

It's like eating a burger from the vending machine and judging all burgers from that. This was meant to last for a bit of time and consumed at any time. Sweets have perishable ingredients and its best to consume it fresh. It will have the best taste, and least amount of preservatives, additives and dyes. Hit up the local Indian restaurant, and check out their sweets(some of them will have their own section as they will make sweets daily). For me I never ever liked Gulab Jamun, until I had it fresh and I loved it since. Do another one with fresh sweets. It's night and day for taste. :)

I am pretty sure that it is because of the texture you guys didn't really like some of the famous sweets and of course taste buds are different and yours probably weren't expecting that unusual and unknown texture. And I am absolutely sure that we people in India do not prefer the canned ones. Its always preferred freshly made. But its absolutely fine and I love your reviews. Stay safe and healthy. Do visit India once when everything is normal.
For me, Rasamalai...is the god, i mean godess of Indian sweets! Laddu: tastes like the way your expressed.. people dont love it but dont hate it...but South Indians Respect it because it is known from ages that laddu is served during rituals while performing/offering prayers to God and in ceremonies like marriages etc, so Laddu is more respected than loved...Gulab jamun: should eat along with the syrup that comes along with it..and it goes along with any ice cream! Soam Papdi: wow! that is, once, poor man's heaven, even now I believe! (Oh, your lady called it heaven, same expression that I just wrote..)
I love Rasgulla. They are spongy boiled paneer dumplings soaked in sugar syrup which are best eaten chilled.. you squeeze the syrup out & pop an entire one into your mouth & theyâre chewy & juicy & syrupy in your mouth. But for someone trying them for the first time & not knowing what to expect, guess the texture was unexpected so it seemed strange. They can also seem too sweet.
Gulab Jamun on the other hand, is best eaten warm (and with a spoon lol). They have a different texture than rasagulla & are made with milk fat & milk solids that are deep fried in ghee to crispiness and soaked in sugar syrup. They are dense, cake like & rich.
It's so unfair that you never share anything with the mom đ
Sir the jamu and rasgula should be put in a bowl with syrup and dip in it and eat it
wish we knew that!
Your content of eating Indian snacks is good and your fun family is even better! I really enjoyed the way you joke around and they keep laughing.
Thanks so much!! We really appreciate it đ
What you're tasting is just 30 % of the original taste.. Once you come and taste the same things in india you will fall in love with each and every food
based on what we have tried so far I have no doubt I would be in heaven in India
Always try Indian sweets at room temprearure, else you may miss the real taste. Rasmalai is to be served cold, while Jalebi &Gulab Jamun is to be taken warm.
I love the way dad pronounces indian âwordsâ
Gulab Jamun put in a small bowl along with some syrup, then use spoon to take a small part along with syrup and eat it. You can go along with ice-cream
Here's a trick... Take a palm sized bowl... Crush that Ladoo with hands (don't turn it into paste). No problem if there's uneven pieces... Mix it with Bikaji's or Haldiram's Bhujia (the flour one, not Aloo Bhujia) with atleast 1:2 ratio. The Bhujia should take around 2 times more space than the crushed ladoo.... Enjoy it with spoon...
We call it Boondia Bhujia...
Hello, love from India..â€..love your reviews..there may be someone who will be offended a little as these sweets are quite close to every indians heart..but the fact is you either like them or absolutely hate them..so if someone gets angry in comments..dont mind them....keep posting such videosâ€
thanks for watching!!
Heat the gulab jamun with the syrup for 30 seconds in microwave. Have it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thank me later
Many of those sweets are supposed to be eaten fresh. Not processed with preservatives and packed. Fresh Moti Chur Laddus (those yellow balls) are made in Ghee (clarified butter) and medium sweet, they are one of the best sweets you can have when fresh. You should come to India (once the COVID situation is taken care of) to try Indian sweets, the things you are eating are dead, not fresh. And the Badam Milk, is supposed to be had hot, and chucks are supposed to be eaten not drunk.
I've been living in US for 2 years now. There's a lot of similarity in many sweet snacks. But, I gotta say, indian sweets have probably existed in this same way for centuries now, possibly more. So, a different flavor profile develops over time..
PS- Kurkure(orange one) is totally the favorite snack in India.
Red one's are super super famous in india and sonpapdi should be eaten in a plate or a small bowl. Its taste like cotton candy.

He: Biggest response from india.
Indian: I can do this all day..
Rasmalai, rasgullas, and gulab jamuns are served in a bowl and eaten with a spoon in small bites. It is less messy and less overwhelming. Each spoonful carries a little of the sweet and a some liquid to complement it. I've see people eat soan papdi with a fork - it helps until you get a hang of things. I love the badam milk though it might be an acquired taste/texture to have solids floating in a liquid. The aam-papad did not look right. It should retain a little of the freshness and gloss and should ideally be a little lighter in color (more orange than brown) and it tastes yummm.
Love this video and the other two before this as well.
Kurkure is omnipresent throught india, and it's among the most fav indian snacks. Also comes with multiple different flavours.
