Hi and welcome back to The Kneady Homesteader channel where today, we are making Cinnamon Twist Bread with a bit of a recipe change that I made to my bread dough. So, same technique, but different dough recipe than my older video that I have here on my channel. You can find that video here:

Heather, i mean this in the most loving way but i dont know how to say it without sounding odd.. while i watched you kneading the dough , i told the Lord thank you for taking care of your hands. i was so concerned that you would lose their use and feeling.. you realize you even being here is a miracle and i have watched and i am so proud of you and your drive to recover.. you are one tough cookie ms Lady. i was going to make your other cinnamon roll bread but i think i might try this . thats the good thing about being the cook. if you ever need an extra mom i will gladly adopt you and yours.... MERRY CHRISTMAS to you .. i love you..and thank you for all you do learning us things that we should know.

There's our girl we all know and LOVE and right there where we all fell in love with her to begin with...in front of that mixer! Even a lil of that giggle coming through Matt always brought out in her. I just know he is SO PROUD of YOU and what you have been able to withstand and overcome! He would of done the same if reversed. I believe you carry the LOVE with you... because God is LOVE. I mean, no pain for you, just expressing how proud I am of you sweet lady and what an example you are teaching all your children. Gotta make this bread TODAY!! THANK YOU

Heather, I am so blessed to have found you recently! After glancing at an older comments in your “Christmas Jam” recipe video, I read with sadness of your loss. Now, as you prepare to attend Matt’s Birthday Memorial dinner with your loving family, my heart goes out to you/yours - our prayers for strength are and will be with you as you celebrate his beautiful, blessed life.
oh thank you!!!!! it's our 3rd birthday, Christmas without him physically here, but we keep his spirit very much alive! We miss him so much.
Because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, paying the penalty for our sins, we have the promise to be reunited with those believers who went to Heaven before us!
Salvation and forgiveness of sins, is a free gift! But, just as with Christmas gifts under the tree on Christmas morning, they aren't ours, until we accept them. We can't buy our way to Heaven. We can't ever be good enough to go to heaven, without accepting the free gift of salvation from Jesus, when he took our sins onto himself, and paid the penalty, on the cross. Three days after Jesus was put into the tomb, He conquered death (eternal separation from God), by raising from the dead, and ascending into Heaven. He will return to take believers home to Heaven. Romans 6:23- "For the wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God), but the gift of God is eternal life (in Heaven), through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Don't wait! God is waiting for you to call out to Him, to ask for forgiveness of sins, and eternal life in heaven with believers who went before us!
I find this ,watching the dough come together, is very helpful, I know for a fact, it helped me.

I agree with this! Until I started watching Heathers videos I was never sure what my dough should look like before, during and after kneading. These videos have helped me immensely!
Absolutely Beautiful! I remember making this bread from your first video you did,My Mom came over that day and said how did you make that fancy bread looks like it came from a bakery lol God rest her soul. She went to be with Jesus this past October. Im so glad to see you baking bread again!

Hey Heather!! I have a few things to share, so hopefully this doesn't turn into a book! Lol
1. I have never heard of using powdered sugar, but have looked so many times to help my sugar not melt out of my cinnamon rolls, and your video made me go on a hunt! I found a recipe that someone has used for years and said it's incredible. I will be trying it today! It is 1/2 cup butter, 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 cups brown sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 cup cinnamon. Beat until fluffy and spread over rolls! I'm excited to try it!
2. Back in June, you did a prayer chat, and I asked you to pray for my mom who had just had a brain aneurysm. I want to thank you! The doctors told us to plan her funeral, but God said, "nope!" She is 95% healed!!!! She went from not breathing on her own, not able to walk or eat, or even talk. Today, she is able to drive a car! Only God!!!!!
3. Since her aneurysm, my mom has been wanting to dive into the Bible. Barn45 has been a blessing for us to have a study together while living miles apart.
Thankful the Lord blessed our path with you. ❤

Ifyou leave about an inch at one end that is not cut, it keeps the two lengths together for braiding

Lord help me😂I gotta try this one too😂the dinner rolls, yeah I got 29 I’m still eating them😂😂I put bagel shake on top of of before I baked, they’re sooo good! I love using bread flour! This bread is beautiful ❤

My momma would have loved this bread. Her favorite was cinnamon twist bread but she always bought hers from the store. I guess I get it from her but i could cook all day but i dont like to bake..

I made this today…I didn’t have the same pan as you, but I do have 2 loaf pans…worked out beautifully…I’m not at the finished product yet, but it has risen & looks gorgeous
So I just cut in half & made 2/loaves…sorry, I didn’t make that part clear…Merry Christmas to you & your beautiful family

Thanks for the update! I found this right after the first version of your cinnamon raisin bread; ill try this version! Im looking for a nice loaf to make French toast with for busy mornings! I usually keep bread sliced in the freezer as we dont use it often, but im looking for kinds of bread my family actually eats. I tried sourdough and decided its not for us in this season. I want to mill our flour at home, so a recipe thats flexible and tasty is more likely to get eaten and enjoyed!

That was a beautiful demonstration. I had planned to make this for my family for Christmas morning but I'm hoping I can find time to bake a couple extra loaves for two of my best friends. I’d love to make different breads and rolls but go thru very little so it doesn’t warrant a machine. I’ve looked thru your videos for one showing hand kneading but it seems right from the beginning you have used a machine- I understand why. How long would I knead by hand? Same amount of time you do it by machine?

Heather and prayer warriors- May I ask for you to keep my husband and I in your prayers? We are in a huge trespassing/harassment situation with our neighbor. It got to the point yesterday where he was arrested for violating a no trespass order. We are fearful of his retaliation. Please pray for the Lord to keep us , our property, and our livestock wrapped in his loving protection. Please also pray that our neighbor is able to fight against whatever evil has overtaken him to treat us so poorly. Thank you friends. Amen.

@@TheKneadyHomesteader PRAISE REPORT!!!! 🙏🏻🙌🏻 a little background first… my husband and I had blocked this neighbor from texting/calling due to his harassment. Yesterday morning, my husband decided to power up his iPad which we hadn’t used in months and found a text from the neighbor from the previous afternoon. He was apologizing for his poor behavior and asked if we could move forward civilly. We have no idea how this message made its way past the block besides God’s divine intervention!!! We agreed to meet in the street between us and discuss how we got to where we were. We had a great conversation, and ended with a handshake. “Love the neighbor” and “as we forgive those who trespass against us” kept playing through my prayers. I know this may seem trivial to some but this situation had us buckled. We never wanted to have someone arrested for harassment and trespassing. Especially a 74 year old widower at Christmas time. But God knew it would all work out! Amen and hallelujah!!! 🙏🏻 🙌🏻
I’m disappointed when something says it’s cinnamon bread and can’t taste the cinnamon so I’m definitely going to try this

Heather that is GORGEous!!! I've never made bread, sweet or otherwise....might try it but for the moment like watching you do it lol. I am so glad you are doing the drizzle bc my motto is, 'yaay sugar'. Sugar's had such a bad rap these last years - I'm standing by it, fan for life lol. Oh happy summer! I am so jealous as we enter winter. 😆 yes you can place this in a bread bag. I use a big double bag, so none of the icing gets smooshed. 😆

I'm sure this will sound like an odd question, but how important was your dog to your entire recovery?
No odd at all! Well, we adopted him before our accident. Matt just loved him! After our accident, the Sheriff had to come get him, and take him into holding. He was only a year old. My son Luke came up and got him and took care of him until we could all come home. He was a HUGE part of our recovery. Especially for the kids. He is the sweetest soul. Him, the chickens, the turkeys.....all of them played such a huge role in unconditional love, giving us something greater than ourselves to pour into and care for. Now we have 3 cats that adopted us. LOL Gd covered us with unconditional animal love! We are very blessed.

Thank you for showing inside the bowl while kneading, this does help us beginners out a lot. QUESTION..You put the kitchen aid bowl in the oven, is the oven on? I know you said if we have the proof setting to use it but is that with the kitchen aid bowl or another type of bowl.
nope I use my KitchenAid bowl 😁 I use the proof setting but even just using the light in the oven works great! I do both!
Hey Heather! Your cinnamon twist bread looks amazing! I don’t have a Pullman pan. Would it work to just bake it on parchment paper like a braided bread or does it need the stability of the bread pan to hold together? Thanks!
