Hey , i'm a high school student and i'm recently using the anki , and ive gone quite good at it , but the problem is with my settings what settings u guys recommend me , this year i have 7 subject and i'm doing 4 of them in the anki app so i'm preparing myself in this summer which will be last 3 months in our country so it mean school is 3 to 4 months away and we'll do lots of quizzes and exams in school and after 6 to 7 months of school well have 1 to 2 months to review the subject , so that was the details please i want to know what is the best setting i could use . 👍

Do you think it would be useful to use a medical school premade deck for dental school? I won't have to worry about a board licensing exam for a while, but for the academic content we have blocks that would be similar in terms of content (e.g. heme, musculoskeletal, cardiology, respiratory), just not as in depth maybe?.
Appreciate the tutorial videos by the way, initially tried it out just for our head and neck anatomy course in our first semester (Canadian studying in Australia) as I wanted to test it out/learn the ropes of using anki, and I've been convinced to more thoroughly use it this coming semester. Your videos have been very helpful in getting started :)

I know this doesn't apply here but what do you think the ease of a card should be when I go "i need to reset this card" so I can avoid ease hell. I saw your video but it showed the overall ease of the deck but if there are individual cards, how would i know when to reset it. I don't know if my cards ease are too low and when I just need to leave it be and trust the algorithm.
I can't figure out this deck for the life of me. I would love to be able to find cards based on rotations. Is this possible or is the new anking deck only set up to search for random individual topics one at a time?

What do i do if i want to gather all the tags of the same subject like abnormal Labor in the same place so i can go through it and unsuspend what i need from them without creating filter deck ?
this is a very random question apologies, but i wanted your advice, i am in medschool but indian setup, so i am into essays , i tried zanki and all , even ur option settings and all, but its not working for me, now i am thinking of using anki as my scheduler, like ,i write my note/essay as anki front and when that card pop up i revise my notes or quiz myself, obviously i cannot do 50 cards, i have put review and cards max at 3 and , but still i am having more than that idk y, red and blue and green,
any advices, i know this is not what anki is for, but i think this what anki is for me, so any advices??

One question: "Notes that could not be imported as note type has changed: X": this happens when I import the AnKing deck (or others) while already having Dope in my profile. I know this is Anki trying to prevent duplicates...but I'd like to avoid this obstacle (as I want both decks to be complete as the original versions). Do you have any idea how to do it? Thanks!
You ideally need to convert your cloze style note types to my note type and then it will update them. See www.ankingmed.com/how-to-update
Is there an updated version of the Extended Tag AddEdit Dialog add on? The first add-on worked exactly as in this video but the second add on does not!

When I press ctrl+6, only the color of my card changes, the menu does not open, what should I do?
The shortcut for the extended tags add-on doesn't work. I've tried switching it to different things, still nothing. Any ideas on what to do?

Hey! I want to create a custom filtered deck with dorian and zanki peds! Do i click the dorian peds tag and then shift click the zanki peds tag? Will there be duplicates if i do that? Thanks for your time and thank you for everything you have done for us!
That should work. There might be duplicates, but if you've already deleted the cards tagged !DELETE and the !PotentialDuplicates are marked somehow you'll be able to identify any remaining overlaps.

apologies for posting completely unrelated topic here but since there is only few comments here i figured " the anking" could reply .... ..so here it goes .....i have beeen doing both zanki and wiwa and im planning to start the ankiing overhaul step 2 deck .... personally i liked wiwa since it has the necessary concepts all in one card especially for someone whose background isn't solid like me .... but the issue is that its not made in a disease pattern recognition way which i think is key in acing the boards ..what do u feel about this notion? are decks made in disease pattern recognition superior... note that i am not trying to compare decks all are awesome and am so thankful for the makers....

This seems like exactly what I need. However, apparently it doesn't work on the version of Anki I am using, and when I tried updating to the latest version many add-ons are not compatible with that version including Hierarchical tags. Can you help me?

(instead of updating them) so it worked :).

How do you search for Tags with the same subtag? e.g. I have multiple Tags Nerves::Pathology Bones::Pathology Heart::Pathology and so on... now i want to create a filtered deck studying all Pathology cards
How can i create a filtered deck where all cards with the subtag "Pathology" will be included?

Update: I got an amazing response and posting the solution here if someone else needs it:
tag:*::subtag
in my case that would be:
tag:*::Pathology
Any way to remove the tags from the cards which i move into my customised subdeck?
You can click remove tags in the browser and remove * I believe. I’ve never tried it though

Try going into Config and then restoring defaults. Things have changed since they updated the add-on.
Hi , again , just a doubt, anyone who can help me , no matter how much I try , the cards which I made recently keep showing up as the new cards for learning , I want random cards to appear from all my decks , but cards the deck which I recently made keep coming up . I have reset everything with anki schedular and tried with poppa and momma and baby . Pls help
Whenever you make a card, it shows up as new. Do you want to make sure your new cards show up in a random order? If so, go into the deck settings/options and choose the setting that randomizes new cards into a random order.
The AnKing Hi anking My problem isn’t that , the new cards which I make keep showing up in the new cards which I want to learn the very next day , I want the new cards which I make not to show up immediately rather a little later . 😣. The very new cards come up along with the review , but I want them to come a little bit later .
Is there a way to only do the high yield tagged cards in another tag? Like only do the high yield cards in #B&B::03_Biochem::01_Molecular? I'm trying to figure it out but i couldn't find a way yet.
You have to include both search terms (the tags) in the search bar and search them at the same time. É de Brasil?

Hello, I was just trying to use this addon to search the tags in the popup but my "ctrl + 6" is not working and I double checked it in the config. Any tips?
Try resetting the config then changing it again
