Okay, now don't get things misconstrued. Lemme tell ya a little something. Lemme is most certainly NOT a loser and that journalist is most certainly NOT a winner! Listen and pay more attention to the lyrics of Motorheads' songs as well as all the others out there. He was/is truly one of a kind. Undeniably unique and absolutely uncloneable. He, he is the sword. He is the word of the Lord. Amen
It's weird I love all kinds of music and a fan of and like so many performers and I'm the least sentimental person you could meet..but when Lemmy died it was like some crazy cool uncle had gone completely unique totally real and yet so down to Earth..if there's a parallel dimension or whatever may be I hope you're rocking it out like you did this one..Born to Lose Live to Win!
Lemmy and George Harrison are the only people I didn't know personally whose death really bothered me. It sucks that they aren't around anymore. They both had a great philosophy about life
He started dying his hair, got a little fatter (which makes older guys look a lot younger), and started getting a lot more successful when compared to the commercial mire metal was in in the 90's.
Lem basically said that they'll play new material whether the people in the audience (He was referring to the 'casual' fans more so than the dedicated fanbase) are there to hear them or not. Lemmy had stated in various interviews over the years that lots of people would show up to hear old material from waaay back, and the only way to introduce them to the newer stuff was to not make a big deal out of it and just play it along with the 'hits'.
Oooh mate, that's nothing. Smoking doesn't kill ya as quick as they say, it's the alcohol, the bad diet and the drugs. Lemmy took speed and acid in hawkwind, but the speed probably put his body in hyperdrive. Part of the real reason he lived longer than people expected was the fact he didn't take many drugs, he only ever experimented with most drugs like weed and cocaine, and he stopped doing acid after he left hawkwind. I reckon the speed probably made him live longer.
"No substitute for the sleeve". He's right. Buy the records and don't download. It rips off the artist and you as well. You get robbed of artwork and bonus stuff. This is the crap that (almost) killed rock n' roll!
Lemmy dismisses politics and claims all politicians are the same, then complains about increased taxation and gives a coded endorsement of Thatcher (if she was better than Blair, that means all politicians are not the same). Lemmy was deeply political.
Hating Blair is by no means a coded endorsment of Tatcher. Blair and Tatcher were on the same side. Both neoliberal assholes. At least Tatcher was honest about it...
Believe in rock&roll that's the only religion that won't let you down - Lemmy
I'll never stop believing in Rock&Roll. F🤐ck religion. We have Motorhead! 🤘🏻♠️
I don't need no exorcism
Bet ya life I don't need religion

Can't say any better than that.

I felt like I lost a family member the day Lemmy died. I Miss Lem.
Me too....even though I'd never the man he was one of the few people that I admired and respected. He was a good man
Lemmy was usually polite to people (so long as they were not being arseholes)which was one of his best character traits.
"Every politician's a son of a bitch." Too damn right!

if you like typical boomer philosophy, it's great.
Take a shot every time lemmy says "you know"
There's only one person who could survive that, and he ain't with us no more
A large chunk of my youth died with Lem.
4:58 exactly!!!!
Whenever I watch a Lem interview I always crave an ice cold jack and coke and a Marlboro afterwards.

All that grovelling, I bet he hated that really
he looked younger in 07 than he did in 97 yet he died 8 years after this video. weird.
not weird, it's just cancer
true.

Way of the Capricorn, they get younger and wiser as they get older.
