I also cleaned out all my daughter’s clothes yesterday. I do the same, keep all the handmade things and some favorites. I recently ordered a sweater shirt that says “mommy” and the word “mommy” is quilted on with a little sleeper that both my kids wore as newborns, I can’t wait for it to arrive, its my Christmas gift to myself
You should get some special items and ask your mum to make a quilt or project bag for a memory
I love to hear children in the background. "I've already got a white fluffy jumper that fulfills all of my white fluffy jumper needs." -still laughing at that! My sister and I talked about baby clothes yesterday. She is considering hiring someone to get the boxes removed from her attic (she is 84 and her baby is 46). I for sure, think it is time to let it go because her grandchildren are all out of college.
MaressaMade is doing a vlogmas this year and I’m stoked! She said it feels like watching your friends and family on tv and I think that’s totally right. It just becomes an essential, cozy, intimate part of the holiday season ❤

I have a fade advent too and I'm trying to talk myself into the fact that they look different. I guess 24 colors it will be gradual! I thought about opening day 25 to make sure it gets darker!

Methera is the number four used in times past by shepherds in the North to count their sheep. Yan is one, tan is two and Tethera is three. I’m not sure what comes next (not being a shepherd!). Really enjoying Vlogmass.
My daughter and I were watching and all of a sudden my face was on the screen. That's always weird when that happens!

You and Another Knitting Pod are the only one's I watch that are doing vlogmas. Jeff 'has lost his "baby" voice!! He sounds so much more mature. And I just LOOOOOVE Penny's little lisp. SO cute!!!
I love vlogmas time! One of my favorites is Chelsea Yarns. Her signature intro is so cute... coming downstairs in her pj's, making coffee, taking her pooch out for a walk, and feeding her chickens (the girls). Enjoyed your podcast (as usual). See you tomorrow.
I’ve knit the What the Fade shawl and the color order in the brioche goes A with D, B with E, and C with F, and in the garter the order is F, E, D, C, B, A (but check the pattern as I’m writing this from memory)….SO one idea could be to open day 13 (rather than day 4) and see if you want to pair the second half of the advent as the private side of the brioche!!!! Hope this makes sense

Hi Laura! Enjoying your vlogmas. Just popped in to say that I made What the Fade with a 6-skein fade set, and my experience is that subtler fade would have made it better to not make it too stripy. So I think your Advent fade is perfect - just thought I'd share my experience, totally your choice!

Why don’t you cast on your Christmas socks toe up, so that you can see how the pattern works up a little before committing to the heel and cuff colour? I love the sparkly black socks 😊

Methera is Yorkshire dialect for Number 4, yarn, tan, tethera,methera. 1,2,3,4....might not have spelt it correctly but you get the drift.
