Oh man... I was nervous. But I successfully made it through my first real talk! It's all about pushing the limits of your comfort zone. I'd say this was my absolute limit at the time. I grew so much from doing this and I thank Ignite for the opportunity. I look forward to seeing where I go as I develop more as a speaker.
Someone approached me after the talk saying I inspired her to challenge herself to speak at Ignite next year; even though she's EXTREMELY uncomfortable speaking publicly. If I didn't build up the courage to speak on stage, that person "DEFINITELY" wouldn't of challenged herself. As a result... She's on a path to having a louder voice!
The mission of my podcast is to inspire the sharing of hidden knowledge and wisdom by interviewing authentic, vulnerable, and purposeful influencers. I extract unintended consequences they've received along with stories and strategies of how they overcame self-made barriers to initially begin and to continue growing their influence.
This talk gave me my first unintended consequence since starting my journey of sharing.
