Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use
Fair use
Additionally, the fair use defense to copyright infringement was codified for the first time in section 107 of the 1976 Act. Fair use was not a novel proposition in 1976, however, as federal courts had been using a common law form of the doctrine since the 1840s (an English version of fair use appeared much earlier). The Act codified this common law doctrine with little modification. Under section 107, the fair use of a copyrighted work is not copyright infringement, even if such use technically violates section 106. While fair use explicitly applies to use of copyrighted work for criticism, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research purposes, the defense is not limited to these areas. The Act gives four factors to be considered to determine whether a particular use is a fair use: the purpose and character of the use (commercial or educational, transformative or reproductive); the nature of the copyrighted work (fictional or factual, the degree of creativity); the amount and substantiality of the portion of the original work used; and the effect of the use upon the market (or potential market) for the original work.

Good quality picture for the age...nice upload. Lighting each others fags...love it!
Great sportsmanship at 29:40 giving your opponent a light :-D
Enjoyed that 😅 Thanks Pal. 🚬 🍻
Jocky should have remembered that when Cliff beat him on a later occasion and he stormed off the stage without shaking the big man's hand. Cliff gave him the middle finger as he stormed off. No more shared lighters for you, mate!
@@Wally-H He was probably in a
rush to get to the bar 😀
Cliff giving jockey a light. Great camaraderie back then
Never mind mvg, this is true darts, rest in peace jocky.🙏🙏
Anybody who tells you drinking twenty pints then playing darts for an hour+ in front of lights and a big crowd isn't an athlete knows nothing.
i always lost my tournaments when i drank too much. holding your level or increasing it while drinking is show of profession
ahhh the good ole days, when you would go to the pub for a game of darts and after a half hour the place was all blue and cloudy from all the ciggy smoke... what a difference
Puffing away!!
Pint of beer!!
That's the way it is done!!
Great guy jocky !!
God bless him ,a right character !!!
Not so funny when you realise he died very young of COPD.
@@craigcharlesworth1538At least he enjoyed life, doesn’t sound like you’re the life of the party though!
I remember these elite sportsmen
Fine specimens of men at the peak of physical fitness Ben 😉
Back when darts players were proper athletes
..what about Chris Dobey ? .. she is Beautiful ...Lol...
Delusional.
Role Models.
Peak fitness.
So true - 10 pints and 40 a day
Just Big Love to these giants of darts, and of my childhood. And to much more simple (at least less convoluted) times ❤️
Brilliant,Big Cliff the biggest drinking Sports Star ever, and Very good Darts Player.Jocky a superb player on his day, great drinker as well. Both fantastic characters!!
i think Big Bill Werbeniuk knocked back a few more pints ...it would have been a good contest ....
@@krishnan-resurrection714 Funny you said that Big Cliff challenged Big Bill to a drinking contest in the 80s,but Big Bill declined.
@@peterbrown6434 cheers ... anyone nicknamed " Big" is usually something of a drinker ...Lol ..
A beer in your left hand a dart in your right hand and cigarette in your mouth. That's my kind of sports 😎.
2021 😨 wish those freedom days back..not a mobile phone in sight.😊
That's a foolish thing to say bud
Fueled 😂
i just wanted to comment on the thumbnail - a bloke giving the other bloke a light of his tab - that's sportsmanship[
I miss these darts when a player can't finish but the other player still checks out on a bull finish. Great match this one.
The glory days when darts ruled everything, Jocky Wilson, Scottish National hero.
When cigs were cheap and you could spark up almost anywhere
Am watching this now . Many Many Thanks Jimmy for Your Brilliant Darts posts
The old BBC darts theme tune was brill !
That theme tune would be used until & including 1997.
That electronic long note at the eeeeeeeend!!
The Beeb had some great theme tunes on their individual sports, snooker, Grand Prix, Ski Sunday etc. Even the sports programmes Grandstand & Sportsnight had iconic tunes
That tune brings back some memories ha ha
this theme tune is just fantastic...........dark yet kind of uplifting
It's called 'Cranes' by The Doug Wood group. In case you wanted to know.
I was thinking the same nice tune👍🏻
@@bramleydragonthnx i was wondering someone knew that song👍🏻
I’d forgotten how great Jocky Wilson was 😀👍
good start by Peter Purves there, "Jocky Wilson taking the title there this y... erm last year"
Cliff giving Jocky a light 🤣🤣🤣
What a contrast to the time when he put his elbow up to him and said 'Jocky!! F**k you!' 😆
Some cracking finishes from Jocky!
#BBCSPORTS CLIFF LAZARENKO "SMOKING FOR YOUR HEALTH" 🏴 🇬🇧
RIP jocky you'll be sadly missed you were a great laugh
Epic thumbnail!
Cliff gentle giant
In this era of darts these players were the very best. Remember the boards back then had 20% less target area than modern boards today.
Oszukujesz, zawsze był ten sam rozmiar

Loving this with all these classics of true darts legends in the golden era of the sport.
Do you have any more match videos of Scottish Int'l Rab Smith?
I love Jocky♥️
What a wonderful game 🎯
great match - I still find myself shouting "come on Jocky" at the screen after all these years! This is probably Big Cliff at his peak? Thx Jimmy.
Great video
I love darts
The youth of today fail to grasp that even in 1983, to optimise performance the sport had to be hosted in optimal conditions. In the seminal days of Darts, this meant beer, tabs and other accoutrements reminiscent of the pub or Workinmens.
Very enjoyable match..
Some of the best ever
Going back a bit ,i was 17. Good days
Jocky -darts legend
Lovely
That is good of Cliff to give Jocky a light for his ciggie.
At the end of the day smoking bonds them. 😊
These guys are real athletes.
What a character Jocky was..
Jocky throws with barely any follow through.
Natural killer accuracy!
Jimmy thanks mate for these old gems , i don't suppose you have any of the 'Fads' Home Internationals by any chance ?
I don't unfortunately mate, but if i come across any i will certainly upload them.
@@JimmyPince Thanks again fella
If I took up darts now... which I'm not.... this is the era I would like to play in... not if the show boat bollox that we see now
Rip jocky a real scot
Darts was so much better when everybody was pissed and smoking.
Having a pint and a growler, proper darts
I've noticed in a lot of the 80s darts matches, when someone is on 141 (like Jocky was with his nine darter attempt in this match) they seem to go T20 then T15, rather than the modern way of T20 and then T19.
Anyone know why that was the case? Surely back then they would practice the T19 cover shot more than T15? Why the tendency to go for T15 with 81 left?
Lazarenko had a smooth action.
Jocky Wilson threw darts from a burrow, The results were improbable.
back in time you re smoking on the stage ;D go Jocky
I can remember watching most of these guy's on "Bullseye". Its mad they were allowed to smoke and drink.
Sponsored by Embassy as well so probably got free cigarettes!!
Get the drinks in and enjoy the show.
Lord Purves!! :)
The PDC might think they have a great darts tour now, but they never had the Butlins GrandMasters
Played against Big Cliff a few years back in an exhibition, you'll have a job on to find a nicer man, fabulous entertainment and great guy.
Indeed, Cliff was without doubt one of the most popular players on the exhibition circuit in his heyday. I played local league in the 80's / early 90's and everyone said it at the time.
Proper darts 🎯 😂
When the world was real
As opposed to?
@@amit77 When it wasn't real?.
@@scottb4697 it's imaginary is it?
@@amit77 Yes. It never happened!
The trebles were definitely a little smaller back then
You've gotta be fit to play darts
Aye fit for a swally 😂
So. Mo ? Are you kidding me ? More billy than the land of Deliverance.
Old Peter purvis.. Get down petra.. His dog on blue Peter...
29:38🙂
Dear God.
He had a dog called Petra .. Alsatian
*ONE HUNDRED MILLIGRAMS.*
Throwing the darts with a lit ciggy in his hand. I’m guessing they got free embassy due to the sponsorship?
Peter purves lmao
Mal schnell noch eine Fluppe Rauchen und ein 180 hinterher so geil müsstes mal Heute machen 😂😂😂👍👍👍
Pull yourself together.
Far better than the modern "woke" darts.
What’s that supposed to mean?
It was a tough choice back then. Cirrhosis of the liver or lung cancer.
Hacking darts while tossing darts
4:45 lighting a smoke before knocking in a 180 😂 imagine trying that today you'd be banned for life, sad really
Drinking and smoking british sports 😀
Smoking during the game 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Passive smoking included in the price of entry. No need to bring your own cigarettes
Proper darts 🎯 😂
