Death Must Die had a huge new update and today we start checking it out, beginning with the new character Lorien, the Ranger, and exploring a ton new changes that have been done. Overall the update has been a nice surprise that didn't just add new things, but also balanced the game to feel less like you are forced into specific gods everytime.

Banishing Warped Strikes was a single digit IQ move. That one is where most of the damage comes from together with gemini. It is completely OP.

Its not worth it to upgrade blue attack when you have master level other skills. Banishing it was the correct choice.
@@rekrn12345 His unupgraded warp strike did the 2nd highest damage next to a master level boon. At the end of the game he was literally just choosing alteration ritual because it was the only option lol. If he had warped strike available he could have easily gotten a massive DPS increase as opposed to alteration ritual that falls off at high levels.
Things that made me giggle: "Greens are actually coloured unique" and "Hi death" when the time god pops up xD. Dex seem to speak faster than he thinks xD.
Its nice to see some more Death must die, fun vid, will binch the rest.
1 SHOT build :
On last boss Build here (17k DPS on Sickles)... 53 Skulls of difficulty... could have more DPS on lvl100 and more health to monsters.
I Did 1 Auto --> And the Djinn died.
LvL 20 Warped Strike + lvl 10 Sickles of death + 5 Legendaries = Was a perfect game for me
1) Take LORIEN, the archer guy + the blue bow with 12% crit on it called "Sharpshooter" if you can... with 815 DPS --> Better than mythic bows.
2) Take the talent 🔵> that makes you do 3 times your 🟠Strike spells when you crit.
--> 200'000 damage per Sickles (MORT ability).
3) KROM --> 🔴>.. to get up to +90% Damage on Bosses and Barrier (Elites).. Take nothing else, go for Alterations to get other Gods or Banish all KROM Skills.
--> Why Krom? Because we want his 🟤Legendary skill "+220% Attack"
4) MORT --> for the ability 🟠> at lvl 10, it does like 600% the damage of your Auto-Attack per Sickles... for big 200'000 damage
--> With the talent tree, you will pop 3 of those Sickles on every crit... and mutliple time per Autos.. because you have a spray of arrows. 1 single Auto can proc 9+ Sickles... all doing 200'000+ damage to the last boss.
5) TIME --> take 🟢> to lvl 20 if possible... I got it to level 20 last time... Take NOTHING else... But I have 15 Alteration and 9 Banish to help me ^^
--> +🟤GEM HIGH Legendary
6) MOIRAI --> Crit and Splinter (for more arrows) --> For more Proc of your busted passive. Same for your 🔵Talent points --> Crit / Pierce / Bounce arrows. + 🔵Ranger Mark for Crits too.
7) ITEMS :
You want Full Master and Legendary Offers.
You want Full % Attack Damage... Like 80% on your Relic.. 60% on Amulet.. 40% on Hands ... 40% on ring (+20%Legendary)
And you are good.
I have 16% MASTER offers and 66% Legendary offers.
How? Because I have a belt called WASTE :
+120 life
+5% MASTER
+30% LENGEDARY
-0.2 Life Regeneration
--> So you lose little life... but juste take a tiny Life on Attack Hit, and you are good to go.
Like the Hands >
+5% Chance to heal 1 life on attack Hit
+40% Attack Damage
+1800 Shard Pull Area
--> It's busted for life steal
Cosmic essence is what you use for the talent trees that replaces signs for each character.

Some skills changed a bit lol
I found the true op that you just clear through any enemy even in act 2. It’s trail of fire plus war. Trail of fire upgraded was doing 8k dmg to the first boss in act 2 and war god has a boon to upgrade dash dmg so your whole dmg is your initial dash. Was able to 4 shot the final boss in act 2 with Skadi using fire dash
Gleich wieder installiert das Spiel. XD Das Update gefällt mir nach kurzer eingewöhnung eigentlich sehr gut. Bisher hab ich nur den Ranger gespielt und arbeite mich durch den Talentbaum. Stage 2 Ist recht knackig aber vor n paar Minuten hab ich den das erste mal durchgeschafft. Das viele sich ärgern weil jeglicher Fortschritt von vor dem Update dahin zu sein scheint, verstehe ich zwar, aber das Spiel ist schließlich immer noch ein Early Game. Da kann es nun mal änderungen geben und ja, mit jedem Update ist immer die Gefahr, dass der Fortschritt weg ist. Das ist bei anderen Games gang und gäbe.
Was später vielleicht noch kommt und sicher hilfreich wäre für Build planen, dass irgendwann eine Art Kompendium eingepflegt wird. Damit man schön übersichtlich sieht, was die diversen Götter anzubieten haben.
With the change from Signs to the talent tree, do achievements unlock anything anymore?
"All the broken stuff is balanced" From what I've been feeling, it feels like the broken stuff got a BIT weaker, but anything NOT broken got buffed. (Except survivability, god am I dying constantly)
Started it back up today, couldn't find gem high, but now I see why.
Is there any way of getting an overwiev for all the blessings? I took +2 strikes in Loriens skill tree, but i have in 2 games i played with that not found 5 strikes at the same time, so i want to check which gods offer the most strikes :(
The ability to upgrade epic blessings to master can now also roll as a stat on items which is a very welcomed changed.
I had a pair of boots on Krom that were able to upgrade ability rarities from before the patch! That wasn't a new change, but surely more gear have it now.
The cosmic essenses are the talent points in the skill tree for that character.
I got the Staff of Rasis this weekend.The staff gives 100% to all heals basiclly, +90% power damage and The gift of Rasis trait which puts out a 900sq aura of light that deals 300 dps. That's right, a 100% uptime aura like garlic from vampire survivors. Speaking of which i also got the bible unique item that makes 4 bibles rotate around you.

Yeah but in my opinion I think it's better this way because it allows for you to tailor your playstyle with a specific character in wildly different ways and not every character is essentially the same except for speed anymore. There's more grinding sure, but the rewards are really good and a lot more balanced. You can do a lot more with the Talent Trees than the Signs in my opinion and it's definitely a positive change, but I do think that the ability to get extra skill slots should be inherent for everyone. The skill slots definitely fix the broken spam every ability problem but I just think that more characters than just Ranger should have the ability to increase the number of skill slots. Even it's further down on the tree and even if Lorien arguably needs it more than say, Kront it can get a little restrictive on Nyx for example.

The game is harder, But i love how items are not binded on equip now, also like how different characters have different attack type slots. Ps got a dragon bow on second shop, Skadi is wild for that dialogue with Lorien( I think it's the second line, dont know if it is on the video, commenting at the starUseful discoverys: attack speed is now with the fire goddess, Serendipity(luck) is now with the fates and can only appear after you get a luck based blessing
Is not better option to banish all useless stuff at the start of the run if you have such big amount of them?

Losing the Signs stings for a while, but the Talents just seem much better. And honestly most Signs were useless anyway.
Shame we gotta re-grind quite a bit out... but such is the nature of Early Access games sometimes.

That sounds unlucky. I haven’t had a single crash though fps seems to be a bit lower since the update.

Anyone else confused on the new patch? My stats seem all whacky. Exp gain, rarity of boons, damage all seem super low.
Used to max heat as a default now I actually died at base level. Also my Assassin was wearing Sorceress armor?
It's because a lot of the requirements changed with the update to make it a bit harder and more balanced than before along with adding a whole Talent Tree as opposed to a flat stat line. They nerfed the Revive armor from Act 1 to being Sorceress only for example because with Nixi's full Talent Tree being all about dealing damage and dodging hits combined with all the new buffs and changes to Armor. It would probably be a little too busted even with the extremely buffed up Act 1 and 2 Bosses.

hey dex, theres new legendary from justice, it gives u regen(or exp instead if health is full) and i maybe wrong but seems like it keeps Gem high running constantly, tried to not hit anybody and buff just keeps going, check it

The game feels so great right now. Besides one enemy type in the desert, that attacks you too fast, even on large distance, which you can‘t avoid, the update improves everything. You keep the progression, except for the level modifiers. I hope they don’t nerf High Gem. Not a big fan of the two times the game locks you in a small arena area. Takes the speed out of the game a bit. I feel bad for paying so little. The game is pure fun.
I partly dislike it. Sure its more content. But all progress besides collected items got reset.
Oh and game didn't lag with lots of projectiles on screen before the update.

this game is just getting worse and worse eoin so many ways. Sure they changed some stuff and a little bit is maybe better. But so many aspects of the UX and balancing and grinding etc etc etc just feels objectively bad to play. I am 100 hours into this game and every time I play it's a test of willpower to stick it out until the end. So many decisions of the Devs for this game are absolutely baffling, straight up confounding. I genuinely don't get what the hell they were thinking while making and updating this game.

why would they have made it so you are earmarked for only a specific number of each different type of skill?! Who asked for this? Seriously all of the updates and changes made to this game seem very poorly thought out, anti-fun and in general I just feel like they have a very very specific idea of what they want their game to be, how they want it to be played, and who they playing their game. In order to make the decisions necessary while choosing skills you have to know all of the skills in the game. Otherwise you could a video tally lock yourself out of better skills by picking something that sucks. I'm not sure why they do so many things to make it hard for you to get a build going that you actually want. And the fact you have to just do tons of runs to get gear and gold and everything it's just so strange. There are so many ways to go about doing the things they are trying to do that aren't just actively negative. But for some reason the Devs consistently chose almost the worst option for every time. It's like their intentionally tanking their UX and I just don't get it.
There was a limit before that, you couldn't get 2 different dashes and attacks, same with spells I believe. So literally nothing changed and you are butthurt over more friendlier UI lol

Sounds like a skill issue, started playing with this update and got great uniques, full skill trees, and thoroughly enjoying the variety in builds.
And anyway you have more success scaling a few skills than getting lv1 in everything.
The devs are "locking you in" by preventing you from building the worst run possible?

You may be confusing the Fire trail Dash, with the Frost trail passive, and Lightning strikes from movement passive. Only the Fire one was a Dash before, and only the Fire one is a Dash now.
