With You Season 2 now out for worldwide release on Netflix it’s time to break down everything that you need to know about the show and it’s ending.
Throughout this video we’ll be discussing all the ins and outs of Joes...I mean Will’s new life and giving our thoughts on the series as a whole.
There will be Heavy Spoilers here so if you haven’t had a chance to watch all of Season 2 yet and don’t want to know what happens then I highly suggest that you turn off now. If you wanna know our general thoughts then head over to our none spoiler review which will be linked above.
With that out the way I just wanna give a huge thank you for clicking this video, now let’s get into our breakdown of You Season 2!
You Season 2 Breakdown
Ok so You Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the first season.
After Candace confronted Joe at the end of the season one the two went for a talk in which she promised to ruin his life and destroy him in the same way that he destroyed her.
In order to escape his shady past, Joe ups sticks and moves out to LA, changing his name to Will, Will Bettelheim, in order to lie low and carve out a new life for himself.
Seemingly Will has had a huge change of heart and has decided that he must avoid what he considers Love so LA, where everyone is apparently too in love with themselves to love anyone else seems like the perfect opportunity.
Unfortunately, love is difficult to get away from and after he gets a job at a new book store once more he bumps into a newly widowed character named, well...Love.
She seems like the perfect woman for him and the two star crossed lovers look like their fates are written in the stars. Love played by Victoria Pedretti, who you may remember from The Haunting Of Hill House, expertly plays the character and you can instantly see why Will is swept up in her sweet and bubbly persona.
However, at the end of the first episode we learn that Will is in fact only lying to himself and his and Love’s entire meeting was staged by the character who began stalking her upon arriving in LA.
It’s a huge twist early on that I think will instantly engage viewers and I as I was watching this reveal, I can’t lie I was like ‘damn.’
We also discover that Will has a man trapped in a cage in a storage unit that is actually the real Will, played by Gotham’s Robin Taylor. This Will has spent the last ten years carving out a false identity and though he offers this service to John Mayer I mean joe, he needs it faster and thus takes his as a shortcut, trapping him in a cage similar to the one that he had Beck encased in during the first season.
Juxtaposing the original entry, Will let’s the real Will free in order to prove he’s a good guy. However this also begs the question if Joe was ever really Joe. Maybe he was in Gossip Girl.
The season deals very much in how taking on the identity of someone else not only provides Will with a lot of positives but also it inherits his problems as well such as a man named Jasper who the original Will ripped off.
Again this follows the subtext of duality and how every character is hiding a dark side to them in order to present their perfect life. On social media couples often do this and go above and beyond to achieve this, acting in unnatural ways, posing and removing the negative elements of their outward appearance in order to portray their relationship as something amazing.
Love does this literally and edits, removes and takes away all of the negative aspects of her life in order to get everything that she wants.
Love divulges that throughout her life, similar to Joe she has murdered, killed and manipulated in order to live what she deems as the best life she could.
She killed Forty’s first love, manipulates Will and it is possible that she killed her husband.
Whilst this is never really clarified in the show it becomes clear that...

i fill as if the show you is like a book. i think that every season will be like a chapter. If my theory is correct then joe/will will kill "Love" and start a new life with the woman he moved next to.
the reason i think this is because i thought joe and beck would be in the show for ever but soon to see that she will not due to joe/will killing her. There for as he starts a new life he continues to fall in love and kill as before, his life just repeats as before he started over for the second time.
But if joe/will does not kill "love" then if am wrong witch in fact i hope i am. Then i can only assume that something bad will happen to "love" HOPEFULLY after she has the baby and he joe/will will restart his life with his child and fall in love again. This is the only conclusion i have had since Beck has died because she felt like a main character. If my theory is wrong then i will be completely lost of season 3
What happened to the pee jar
Bruh that baby is literally going to be the spawn of satan lmao
😂😂😂🤣🤣
LOL. I smell a spin off with Lucifer

Can't be his.Love fckd around with the other guy alot
who else binged the entire season in one day?
Alex Wong legit me
Alex Wong me, it was a rollercoaster
kinda
actually yeah half of it after it came out at noon and the other half when i woke up; technically the same day
Yeah I did that yesterday from 5 pm to 3 am
The fact that Love revealed her true self and Joe acted like he was disgusted as if he hasn’t killed multiple people cracks me up 😂
Yassss he is a whole serial killer and he thinks she’s crazy?! 😂
I think it's because, he didn't expected Love to be like that. He thought Love was the "perfect inperfect" girl, but now with all of that plot twist in the end. I believe he doesn't wants his "soul mate" or, his obsession to be just like him. A psychopatic obsessed person..
@@ilovesanrioandmcr2031 He wants to be the one in control. When he realised Love was in control the whole time, he was disgusted.
@@spreadingthedrewth4643 Yeaah, exactly. Really disgusted. And tbh I doubt she's pregnant, she maybe is but I doubt it because I believe it's more of a lie, so Joe could not kill her.
Jota3214 she is definitely pregnant u didn’t see her belly at the end?
Not going to lie, when Love said “Beck was basic” I was like yes sis she really was.
Beck was annoying and basic 👐🏼 rip lol
Same
Sameeee
lmao same
I actually disagree. I thought Love was more basic than Beck! But maybe it’s because Love-like influencers flock my Instagram feed
The ending just reinforced that Joe is a bad person without redeemable qualities. He literally found a woman perfect for him and still decides to keep up with his antics and stalk someone else. Trash.
Priscilla O but what if the girl was Beck
@@coletrain5644 Beck is dead sis. Like dead dead.
Caleb Cole that’s the point. And he doesn’t want a woman like him, he wants a sweet innocent woman. Which is why throughout the season he’s “trying” to do better for her
BB Banks I noticed that as well. When he saw Love for who she was he was going to kill her. Then she mentioned the baby. However I believe he loves her and that surprise news allowed him to come to his scenes he didn’t need to kill her. But his urges may be too strong
He is tho, he’s a psychopath, sure he has feelings and can get attached but deep down he’s just a lunatic
Ending scene was perfect because it reminded everyone that Joe is not some misguided man looking for love - he is psycho and will use fallacious monologues to justify repeated and terrible actions his whole life.
Yup, he tricked you Episode 1 of Season 2 then the entire season, this Guy ain’t gonna change
No, it wasn't. Joe was trying to change.
The Raskolnikov of LA
Punkster He’s not a sociopath because there’s a lot of parts in the series where he gets disgusted by everything he’s done and feels bad about the people he has killed. He seems more of a psychopath to me.
This is so fucking right why cant joe love love after he has found that love is exact same as him
Who else thought love was lying about being pregnant at first I did
Lol me too, i thought she was doing that just so joe wouldnt kill her. But there's this moment where right after joe takes the acid, she's the hotel with her mom and throws up and gets this like super weird look on her face afterwards, it could be her realizing she's pregnant idk might be reading too much into that scene but it did cross my mind for a sec
lanethelame or maybe cause she drank too much? Probably not. But those are signs that she was actually pregnant. I thought it was because it was just late and she felt stressed being around her mom and because she also drank too much and she has been going thru a lot.
lanethelame didn’t think of that I just thought she lied
Probably the Australian's kid she lied about making him wear protection.
Wait but surely the baby would be hurt if she drank so much alcohol...
WHY DOES JOE THINK THAT HAT MAKES HIM INVISIBLE??! dude, we can see you.
Sincerely Eccentric lmao ikrrr
I was thinking this each time 🤣. I still don't know how beck didn't realize he was crazy.

The main character name is JOE and he’s pretending to be WILL. His lover interest is LOVE, and the title of the show is YOU. 😱😱😱😱😱 .
JOE. WILL . LOVE. YOU. 😂
ethiokitty wtf. This needs to be pinned NOW.
Bfncb Thfbfhr or Will Joe love you? Or you will love Joe?
GGG GAMER PERHAPS
@@GGGGAMER you will love Joe
Will was my favorite character. The actual Will not Joe. I feel like Joe doesn’t really have many guy friends to talk to and Will was one of the few he could be honest with.
Will was awesome
Jesus Hernandez Yeah, I liked Real Will too. In a sick way Joe kinda did him a favor giving him that push he needed to go to his woman... I’m glad it worked out for Real Will... He was sweet!
Yeah in some form Joe did gave him a second chance since he was in a lot of shit before Joe came.
AMEN
Possibly they remain friends by phone 🤯
It’s ironic that Love killed her brother’s “ex” to protect him, yet that guilt he felt due to believing he killed her probably led him to destroying himself with drugs and alcohol.
yeah that;s what I was thinking, she should of at least told him because what she did completely ruined him
But he knew that she killed his ex if you go back and watch just before he got killed he said do you i dont know after all these years im that dumb something along those lines which indicates that he may have known that love killed his ex
@@abdiwahabyousuf3069 ohhh and then maybe that secret/knowledge he had to carry was so heavy that he had to go into drugs
You mean his abuser. Not ex. Yeah, finding the person that was grooming and manipulating you dead in front of you can be traumatic, BUT she was forcing him to do drugs and then having her way with him, that was messing him up long before Love stopped her.
Abdiwahab Yousuf and that still probably led to his drug abuse too 😩
Bruh this show made me feel like Candace was the villain and Joe was the hero. Is that bad?
Nope! It's exactly how the writers want us to feel, to test our morals and stay interested. As a society we love murder and thriller shows so much that when putting the show in Joe's perspective we forget about how fucked up he actually is. I kept catching myself thinking "oh no!" Whenever joe was about to be caught lmao
Nope, it's not. Joe's an unreliable narrator and we're in his head the entire time, hear every single one of his thoughts. He thinks of himself as the hero and considers Candace to be the evil, deranged villain of his story, only there to destroy his happiness, so that's what we're automatically doing as well.
Its sort of like what was done with Breaking Bad. You empathize with Walter White even though he is the villain in the story.
Every villain is the hero of their story
Lol I actually couldn't stand how annoying Candace was
When love was telling her story I was like Joe finally met him match
When a sociopath meets a psychopath
sociopaths don’t feel anything though right? They both have pretty obsessive/sensitive/emotional personalities, so I thought they were both psychopaths
But still that scene when Joe was in the cage, was ironic.
And to know she knew everything beforehand was a shock to me.
It's like Joe is like young prodigy and she the master.
She is more manipulative and psychotic, crazy but calm, makes her better than Joe.
But let's wait for next season
their child will be ultra psychopathic, taking traits from his/her parents. i’m so excited for s3 and how this child will turn out
Yup
SAME but he doesn’t see that he is one.. when she was telling her story he was like okay she’s fucking insane
I really grew to love Forty and felt terrible for him, I didn’t like his ending :/
I know right I felt really bad for him guy never had a chance
Ikr. My fav from this season honestly
I Did too especially when I found out Love killed his au pair not Him. His whole Family kept basicly telling him he was crazy and a loser.
and the fact he was introduced as a L.A narc only to grow into a very likable character.
I hope he haunts his dad.
I will literally never get over delilah’s death
That death hurt the most bruh
her death hit different and i can’t get over it
And for that I’ll always hate love’s character! At this point I’m basically hoping the show ends with her and Joe in prison
It's because she's really, really, really hot.
I actually loved delilahs character. Love pissed me off with that murder. It pissed me off because Delilah and joe was sorta cute, Ellie needed her sister and I just never really liked love.
and no one is going to talk about poor Ellie?? ahh i feel so bad for her
Yeah me too! Is Joe shredding mail from her at the end??
@@ameliel8792 it's probably not her mail cause she hates joe I'm guessing it was will cause he sent a couple letters to joe
@@kanecantu3227 oh ok you think? I thought they said 'E' at the end like they were from Ellie. And they said something about sending money and then he just shreds them.
when Joe gets the letter, it’s from Ellie saying something along the lines of: “send me $, and send me the same amount in 3 months”. He then shreds the letter, and I assume it’s so that his tracks is covered so that no one knows where Ellie went and that Joe is connected to her.
@@lyricsbythree yeah I'm glad we know ellie is ok, I'm super tight that they killed delilah 🤦🏿♂️

"What is with Joe f***ing Goldberg" was my favourite line
Ikr it really shows how everyone are so charmed by him
yeah but candace is so fucking cringey. idk if it’s her face or just worse acting than the others but it makes me hate her, even if she’s right
@@arionas26 lmfao I thought so too.
She has a point and I have the answer. The writers of this show. They make everyone else so damn stupid so joe and love can continue to survive.
Forty deserved better
Delilah deserved better
Ellie deserved better
Candace deserved better
Tom O Mahony I lost hope to Forty. Forty didn’t care about himself in the first place with all the drugs he’s taking. Forty is just an immature attention seeking junkie addict.
@@jerryg1692 yea but that addiction started because he was raped and had a terrible family. He wasn't a murderer and didn't deserve to die
say it louder for those in the back 🗣
sarah I used to root for Forty because of his past, but he didn’t seek the help he needed. He became a man child who needed Love to babysit her and he also resulted in drugs where he got the addiction. He’s a grown man who kept wanting attention, he was a pain in the ass for whole season
And Beck
I feel bad for Ellie and Candace they deserved better
And beck :and the brother fourty and dalila :’)
Ikr. But what got me confused is how easily Candace just abandoned the idea to get revenge on Joe after telling the truth to Love, and accepted the money before disappearing for almost the rest of the show. Like at this point the girl literally dedicated her whole life to take Joe down, wtf that doesn't look like her at all ?
Like damn she was my favorite character before that happened, but she went from a smart charismatic woman who will do everything she can to get revenge on her psychopathic ex to a boring side character. I was super disappointed
Amber Pillar What about Forty?? He was literally the biggest victim
@@maevab2923 To me she was just waiting to find another opening. She already tried telling love everything and it backfired. She couldn't come back right away or her chances would be ruined, so she came back just in time to tell Forty. It worked out... sorta. Plus, she wasn't as good at the sneaking around thing as Joe. She proved that when she ran into Delilah. It was probably best for her character if she waited for an opening.
Fuck them I was about to be sad joe was going to be in prison
Is no one gonna talk abt how fourty jumped out a window to make it look like he died Buhh rlly landed in a dumpster 😭😭
Love: You didn’t kill Delilah, I did
THIS PART HAD ME SHOOK
Really? They had so many massive plot twists and I guessed them all. Every time a new scene came on I was looking for one. Also, was it just me, or did Joe say he had only 16 hours to be on the plane. So much to do! Then literally went straight into an acid trip and never did anything. What was he supposed to do?
Tanner Johnson I’m pretty sure he wanted to say goodbye to everyone so that when he let goes of Delilah, he’s already in Mexico and gone from the police. But sadly forty distracted him and delayed it
Nahum Yohannes I wanna say I was surprised, but the moment she opened up her locker revealing a shrine of her dead husband, I kinda saw the twist coming
i strangely had a feeling that love killed delilah before i found out she actually did
So many twist and turns on this new season. I was so fkin shocked when Love stabbed Candice and told Joe she was pregnant.
do you really think it's his or do you think that was her way of stopping him from killing her??
Kelcey I think that it’s their child. I was constantly rooting for them to end up together and just live a normal life. I can’t stand all the drama all the time, I just want him to feel good
it’s their child based on the book but joe went to jail on the book. It’s different from the series
@@natanaelblomberg2286 jesus you're actually rooting for 2 psychopath murderers to live a happy life? Lol
TerraCrisis yup its fucked up I know:/
How has NO ONE gotten arrested at this point? I understand that Love has money but someone definitely should have caught Joe
Kyle Sanders Not really. There are many people by now that should realize that Whenever there is murder, Joe is always there. Somebody by now should be putting 2 and 2 together tbh. Like if 40 can crack the case without suspecting Joe AT ALL, then SOMEONE who knew at least of Beck or Candace should realize that he the main killer.
The Steel Serpent right and Joe never really used gloves in season 1
Love covered up for him...
Right? SURELY someone must've caught him transporting that big ass human cage in that storage room from NYC to LA considering there are many security cameras in LA. This season had too many plot holes I have to laugh
caitlyn who r u he built that cage in LA. He mentioned that in one of the episodes
Love said "imma match your crazy" lmaoo. and Joe was not ready for a ride or die.
I think joe can’t love, love because she’s just like him
I wonder how many people like Joe live on this planet.
Makhmalak technicaly about 1/100 is a psychopath. Considering maybe only half of them actually act i’d say about 1/200 - 3 00 ? Person is at least as psychotic
The way he gets away with stuff is pretty unreal lol

I like it, but I DONT like it. I’m conflicted.
Who else already watched the whole season😂
Caleb Cole Same binged it all yesterday 😂
I completed watching it today
Joe is the only sane person. Candace and Forty ruined the whole season by trying to expose Joe, they’re a pain in the ass tbh. But at the end, I hope Joe keeps going
Theory: the neighbor is actually Joes mom.
This is what i was thinking!!
I think so too , as I watched the last episodes there was 3 books in that scene “brave new world””a guide to Jane Austen “ and “Kafka’s selected stories “. I searched them all up and suprisely these 3 had something in common. And someone to read these 3 would have to be someone who can relate which I believe is his mom
In “brave new world “ it focuses on a society that is obsessed with happiness and will stop at nothing to get it
It also talks about how the moms feelings towards another man gives and effect towards her son and his relationships with women . Which sounds like a similar situation with joe . So why would the mysterious women have that novel?
that’s what i thought!!!!
I’m just obsessed with Penn’s acting like in some parts of the series he literally looked like a psychopath...like the look he gave and the way he talked.. just wow
Ivana Špilj His charisma, the writing, and his eyes/veins bursting out of his skull are so great.
@@theraVen27 yeah, the fucking veins man, how do you do that in command
I really feel like love killed her husband like how does he get sick and no one ever finds out what he died from 🤔

Tamera Coates that’s exactly what I was thinking that’s not his baby
She did say they used contraceptive
Lovely right!! Maybe to “end his pain”
yes and my theory is that when James (Love's husband) didn't want to have kids with her, she got mad and felt like he is not part of "her plan" anymore thus decided to poison him with food (hence sick for a long time)!
I actually love this show, I rarely pull an all nighter for shows but this was 100% worth it and the ending was great

Why isn’t anyone talking about the jar of pee that was never again mentioned
In the "Hidden Bodies" book, Love helps Joe retrieve the mug of urine and cover his psycho ass.
@@Daisylinne is that the third or second book?
I think Joe mentioned it in one of the episodes of season 2
Sophia Alexandria it’s dumb anyway, you can’t get DNA from pee
Fairy Saurus from what I saw, there are only two books so far. The third is in production.
Can we just have a give it up to the OG will 👏🏻 he’s a good friend to will😂 he will never tell on you and help you feel better about a murder 😂
Yeah OG Will was a gent, living his best best best life
Yes! So precious 😭
Kortney Correa I always feel bad for people in that box but never had I been rooting so hard for joe to let him out! I was legit yelling at my phone let will out he won’t turn you in 😂
OG Will is the friend that Joe got but did not deserve lmao
I love that guy
It's so messed up that Love never admitted to Forty she killed his ex. Forty went his whole life believing he killed somebody and has carried that guilt, maybe that's why he turned to drugs and had so many issues.
Yeah but at the end he says that he already knew she did it
Varsha Shaji Oh I missed that
Duh
meow you’re right I agree with you I believe he is not a idiot because he solved who the murder was in the book
I just finished season 2, I don't think Joe will ever be satisfied, he is serial stalker/killer, and can't handle having a woman who mirrors his personality. He's just in chase of this fantasy, innocent, and angelic woman that would love him in spite of Joe being absolutely crazy and evil.
Call him a serial killer yet he didnt try to kill anybody the entire season lol
Joe Stuehmer well he technically is one, there’s no specific motivation you have to have. In fact the definition is “a person who commits a series of murders, often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern.”
Crazy? Yes. Evil? No. His heart is usually in the right place.
That’s what love is in the book
Joe Stuehmer wow you’re insane lmao he literally killed 5 fucking people how tf does that not make him a serial killer? You need help.

Some characters I fell in love with was Delilah she was kinda awesome and loved her screen moments with Joe. It was hilarious the moment they were caught outside and arrested for it. This captures perfectly the crazy people of L.A in a perfect world L.A gonna L.A. All in all this show was overly awesome I have no more praise left in me. Can't wait for season 3
Ikr season 2 was amazing
I liked their relationship more than him and love for this reason: he wasn’t in love with her so he wasn’t a bad guy to her and didn’t have that sick twisted view of her like he did with all love interests. So you saw his good side with her and Ellie whereas with love, you saw the creep more
Jay Yes!!! Good point! It felt more genuine, more normal with Delilah I think. I think that was the Joe he really Wants to be- He’s just used to the other version of himself he missed it with Delilah...
I just hope they don't drag the show on for too long. Also I loved the ending but then it was ruined a bit, when Joe started obssesing over the neighbour. I really want the third season to be about the Quinn family and Ellie's story line. I beg the creators to not make Joe fall into old habits and obsess over some stupid neighbour.
@@mmm98612 it wouldn't be true to his character if he didn't though
Great vid. Joe will never "settle for Love" because he's into the illusion... he likes to be in control and was into her because she was not real, Love was a fantasy made up woman he idealized. I think he sees his current situation as a punishment because he's now facing reality that Love is just like him, he's trapped with himself basically... And the woman in the end could be his mother. And also...... could the baby be Milo's?and Love just lied to 'trap' him in her perfect family? I felt awful for Candace, Delilah and Elli, they deserved better....
Realistically the baby COULD be Milo's, although chances aren't in his favor, Love said they used protection. I think plot convenience will say that the love glove worked.
Yeah he definitely does and good baby theory
naiara taiana honestly if Star Wars can bring back palpatine then anything is possible

Season 2 was so much better! very interesting, though, I really don't like how they ended it. it was a MESS. should've just left it midway of the last episode. but I like the twist that he practically fell for himself. it's a killer couple..literally. Either way, count me in on season 3. I liked that the show played with our minds with some of the characters telling us that joe is a good person, but then we had Candice to remind ourselves that he's just plain bad. they were really questioning us how far are we to get to forgive an evil man? Great review! so glad there's a review out so fast!
Thank you! Glad you liked the video and thanks for dropping a comment
ChroniclesOfNarina midway where exactly?
I knew something was off with her when she brought that man kissing in front of Joe at their job like that. It seemed very Beck ish... 😂
agreed i think they should have stopped it when he put the key outside ,i really wanted his character to just accept who he was and deal with his issues .but i do like the twist as well but i fear the next season because ik he is not going to be a good father ,i think he will be just like his own father because as seen the more he tries to good person the more bad he becomes .scared for the child .
Agree with all you said. Overall, this season was better and more intriguing than the original, but the final episode was very messy, and the very last scene is a giant WTF. My issue is that this season could´ve perfectly been the end of the show. Unlike you, I don´t feel like watching a third. I´m already satisfied despite the ending.
I’m so mad I wanted him to stay with his neighbor and Elle so he would forget about everyone else.
The neighbour was really annoying tbh. But I like Ellie
Naomi VDS yes she was and even though joe was a psycho I thought he fell for her but she messed it up and went snooping around. I loved Elle but felt scared for her
JOHN Vincent I know 😭
Delilah was way to smart not to find out. She was a Hollywood reporter.
I really liked delilah.. I was hella upset when she died
anyone notice that all 3 of loves kills were throat slits.
J040PL7 what was the third? i can only think of delilah and the au pair
@@benroberts8351 fortys abuser -> delilah -> candace.
It's her thaaaaannggggg
J040PL7 yup that's her thing
Its because shes a chef and usually cuts the food
I feel most sorry for Candace. Through no fault of her own, Joe fell for her, thus leading to her entire life being uprooted, having to change her name, move away from home, as well as the trauma he undoubtedly thrust upon her. Plus, her selfless choice to stop him from hurting other women lead to her final months being absolute hell, before being murdered brutally by someone she was trying to protect. Like damn sis you got screwed.
Just binged watched season 2. It just makes me sad that joe can’t settle he has to keep finding other women. So in the end is he not going to be a good dad? He says he wants to be good but I’m like “man if he’s spying on other women” doubt he’ll be even close to being a “good” father.
Think he’s forever gonna be a victim of his drives and psychological issues
agreed
funny how „spying othet women“ makes him not a good father but not how he murders and basically feels no remorse whatsoever lmao
@@miehshinyu he feels remorse but he also thinks hes the hero.
@@miehshinyu Did u even watch the second season? He never tried to kill anybody in it so obviously he has remorse
I stg if Ellie doesn’t get revenge and joe n love don’t end up in jail-
I actually wonder how Joe managed to bring the “cage” with him from the basement of the bookstore in NY to LA?
He built an exact replica. He said it in the show. He only came to LA with a suitcase
Katherine Gloria He built a new one
Ohh i see. I must have missed out on what he mentioned in the show 😅
For making 12 an hour, how did he have all these resources? Lol
Nico Gonzalez from his life’s savings maybe 🤣
Ending pissed me off, lol Joe literally met his match, but now that Love is not the sweet innocent girl he thought she was, but a reflection of him, he has a wandering eye already
T M i bet it was actually his mom. bc remember the season was showing all those flashbacks with her and joe and yes while they were matchable with the events in each episode,, that storyline never really concluded?? and she also looked older, and the books she was reading were lowkey similar to joes childhood (someone did research idk) and joe also was paying more attention to the books then her. in the first season he analyzed beck by her looks in the first episode, the clothing she wore, what books she chose, how much skin she was showing, her hairstyle,, etc. and also joe is having a child which he was so excited about,, and he was searching for love so it just doesnt seem like he would leave her that quickly. idk it just seems like it may be his mom.
That's the point of the show, he doesn't know what he wants, he can't get enough of the women he has been with and he'll later get rid of them for the new one or he wants a innocent woman for his taste, he stopped loving love from the moment she revealed her true self
You don’t understand the point of the show or the main character, Joe. That’s what you should be pissed about.
No proof she is a love interest ffs and Love straight up killed 2 people who just didn’t at all deserve it, Joe did that once yes but he gave her a chance
He was going to kill Love until she told him she was 🤰 so u know he doesn’t really care for her
I mean he did all of this for her. You csnt say that
@@stratosm3154 you are fooled by the narrator's viewpoint. Joe is a selfish psychopath lol.
The King yeah and he did so much for Beck too and look at how she ended up 🤷♀️
I never said he isnt a psychopath. But saying he hasnt done absolutely anything for her isnt that right either.
@@stratosm3154 even when he is doing something for her, he is doing it mainly for himself. And I never said you claimed he wasn't a psychopath. Just that you are being fooled by the perspective you are given.
Very annoyed that Delilah died. She was a very good character who should have lived or at least not been involved with Joe because her only way was through Henderson and she clearly hated him. The guy literally came in their lives and fucked them up. Candace was also pointless since she “resurrected” just to die again, and the only character she convinced and actually told the truth to died as well. Very good season but it’s frustrating having all of these good characters get killed off. Then we find out that even though he has the kid on the way he still chasing women. Felt like a slap in the face and confirmed that Joe is bad but did it in an unnecessary way. Overall good season but this show is just telling me to not get attached to anyone because Joe kills off everyone we like.
Yes what’s wrong in that? But I loved the 3 characters he killed. It was shocking, all of them. He is a self righteous serial killer and all 3 died coz of Love. Strangely he only killed the bad guy
The last scene was actually crazy to me and made the season. All through out the season you just think he’s getting better he becomes slowly more "normal" and then boom they remind us that he is actually sociopath and cant actually change because its his mentality

Amazing quote! Thank you
Poor Ellie ☹️☹️ hope she gets revenge
Yea but it really isn’t completely joe’s fault and she should have listened to him took the money and ran
Caleb Cole she did
Eynis Varda she should stay away. Who the hell breaks in someone (a friend at the time) apartment search it takes his keys and them invades his storage. Journalists in any show deserve to die in my opinion. For being to damn curious. It like she didn’t think. Even if she did suspect him. Clearly he killed a perv who assaulted u. You’d think she’d be grateful and leave it alone or at least wait to confront him
Jamar Martin Dahlia didnt care that he killed Henderson. She was more worried about him having her panties and spying her sister
Feminista Honestly I hope Joe gets caught and everybody starts speaking up about him.
Does anyone else get nervous when joe gets himself in sticky situations or like you end up feeling like you don’t want anything to happen to him?
Deep down I know he deserves it but in the moment I get swept up. Anyone else? Just me? 👌
Parker Lovett yes I have to shut the episode off lol regroup then go back to finish it haha
i love how all these "ending explained" videos just cover the entire thing to get pass the 10minutes mark.
The ending makes me so happy but also sad how he’s gonna ditch Love
I feel like Ellie is gonna come back and destroy Joe in S3 but will get killed by Love.
Joe finally found somebody like him. Someone who understands and can literally relate to his murderous actions. And now he isn't satisfied🤦♂️, season 3 finna be crazy
The “real” Will was my favorite character by far!! Love him. So glad he found love lol
He will soon go to tulfo and seek help because his filipina girlfriend is just using him.
I actually saw Love being insane as Joe from a mile away but was still shocked
It just mind boggles me that Candace didn’t call the police FIRST and THEN call Love. She really got what was coming to her.
Mother Bleach exactly
Her ego got the better of her
That part pissed me tf off like how dumb can you be ?
Candace was played by such a poor actress (almost clownish), that didn't seem to want to protect anyone or she would've said something when she found his new girlfriend and shown her proof right away. She belongs on soap operas with her botox face, because her facial muscles not moving and/or having no talent, made her vengeance seem like a game of side-eying; hardly that of a woman who was buried alive and despite her trauma, was trying to take him down.
Saying she deserved it is pretty cruel, no one needs to die just because they’re naive. But bad things happen so
am i the only one that thinks joe wasn’t really in love with “love “ the way he was with beck? he didn’t have the same vibe wit her, and he got completely turned off right after she killed that girl. She was to crazy for him i guess
I agree. They just didn’t have chemistry. I just don’t think the actress was very good.
VividlyEmblazoned agreed!! She was a terrible actress, in my opinion. I love this show, but she made it difficult to get into this season. I loved the scenes when she wasn’t in them! 😂 Beck was far better as his love interest/victim
Cate Shilling honestly . and there were times where i would be like “nooo don’t do that “ like damn i would of done the role better then her
queen way right!! Same here!
Kristell Reyes 😂
"Damaged attracts damaged."
So clearly we are all here because we watched a year's worth of work in one day. Now we have to wait another year to do that again.
On the other hand this season we didn't see Joe go and purposely kill people off his mere obsession nor did he stalk hard like he did Beck. He tried to be a better person, which made the viewers empathize with him more. So when someone shows him love despite his flaws and he tries to kill her and looks for that love elsewhere I believe it confuses the audience. Joe talking to himself says he loves Love even more when they're at the wedding. Yet tells Ellie that the Quinn's are responsible for her sister's disappearance kinda ratting Love out, by affirming Delilah is dead, and tries to hurt love when they're in the storage ( I thought he had it in his head he had to protect Love). It seemed the season was pointing towards a Bonnie and Clyde direction, but the last episode made it confusing. I'm not as excited for season 3.
Maybe it’s his mother at the end of the episode so he can face his past in season 3? His mother was the first woman he LOVED, killed for and abandoned by. Loving Love brought back ALLL those memories throughout the season and didn’t he say that he’s glad he moved there bc it led him to the girl at the end... his mum? Wouldn’t it be interesting to see how he handles her, she gave him away and made him the man he is today but also that’s his mum and now he’s going to be a parent and learn what that takes, it makes sense he figures that out while exploring his own relationship with his mum
@@hellofriend2109

How anyone can like Joe after what he did to Delilah and Ellie is beyond me.
lillost right, I don’t get it
For the same reason people followed Jim Jones to a prison island.
LJ Terrell ummm🤔 he locked her in a cage and ultimately got her killed, helped cover up her murder, and ruined her little sister’s life.... I’d say he did more than enough to her.
I was already starting to dislike him for being a simp, but once he locked delilah up I was like ite I hate him
@LJ Terrell okay so locking people in a cage is not that bad then...
Anyone else just felt really bad for Forty? He was one of the most genuine characters. Seemed cocky at first but once we got to know him, we learned he was troubled and has been lied to for most of his life.
Why do so many people care about “consequences”? People aren’t always caught, why would you want the same ending as every single other show
Chris I think it would be even more shocking if Joe doesn’t get caught in season 3
Cause its called proper writing. There is also many ways to do it not like any other show while karma hits them back.
People who thinks every victim get justice they don't. Wake up from you dream
I hope he gets away with everything just because it’s a show lol.. idk if it’s been done on a show before but sometimes you just want to let the bad guy win
Chris Because it’s satisfying to see killers get caught. I know that there are killers that manage to get away, but still. It would be even better if Joe went to prison because he’d have to face himself and that he isn’t a good person, and he can’t escape from it just like he did in season 2’s finale
Okay so am I the only one who noticed that when Joe was hesitant to eat the muffins Love made for him, she assumed it was because Joe thought she poisoned them? I feel like it hints at Love poisoning her husband and killing him because he didn’t want a family with her🧐
I thought it was coz she used salt instead of sugar in her cinnamon rolls.
My boyfriend said “if joe was ugly then no one would like him! People would be able to see him for what he really is” and I told him that “that’s the whole point of the show. This show is exactly how it is to be in a relationship with someone with a personality disorder that is abusive. You love them. You make excuses for when they hurt you.” When you’re in an abusive relationship everything is so confusing because you see their actions, but you also see how sweet they are, how compassionate, how caring, how funny, how much they love you. Things get so confusing. You wonder if this is what love really looks like. And if the person you love more than the entire world, and the person that is supposed to love you the MOST tells you that “this is what love looks like” then you believe them. You think “if I can just love them back enough. If I can just be good... then we can finally be happy”. But the sad truth. Just like in Joes story, that time will never come. You will never be able to fill the hole that they need you to. You will never be able to be “good enough”. They will always want more until you are nothing.
I may be the only one to think this but I do not find him remotely attractive. He is weasley and resembles a q-tip
Anwahs13 I’m dead as fuck. I guess it just memories from Gossip Girl. XOXO
I would still like his character even if he wasn't attractive (apart from being a murderer
Forty was more extroverted with his emotions, his actions and Love was more introverted. Sometimes people look more crazier and loud on the outside are actually more honest and open.

I liked it a lot, and the creepy suspense was really well written!

I think joe is looking for what he wishes he could be. He’s looking for a damsel in distress, someone who needs him, some who is picture perfect of peace and innocence. Love is like him. He wants to change himself, why would he want her if he’s running from that very thing

I bet joe stalked the neighbor and only moved there to get closer to her 🤷♂️

It annoys me that all of a sudden Joe doesn't want Love after she confessed to all those killings. Calling her crazy. He's such a hypocrite! Also, I thought it would be a good plot twist to make Candace and Forty working together and the acid and Forty confessing to the murder of the au pair part of the plan. It was still great though.
Joe’s character is so complex. You want to hate him but feel sorry for him at the same time. Awesome show💕

He should have killed her imo, would have made his character much more iredeemable.
@@167kinggam I think it would have been repetitive then to season 1.
Hey.. *you*
I think the ending was a dead give away for what's to come and next season will be the return of Joe's mom the give away was the books, Kafka stories , brave new world by aldous huxley and jane Austin .... in the Kafka short stories there's the tale of a lost child aka( joe), in brave new world it speaks to adaption threw change in a dystopian society aka Joe's new life in a new class of social constructs and then there's the guide to jane Austin speaks to a woman having to sacrifice her past to have a future aka Joe's mom when she left him in order to start a new ... that's who the neighbor is .
Amazing analysis!!
QuEsT X. BoXiNg Yes, also the show focused a lot on Joe’s last and how it affects his current self. Season 3 will probably be about him facing his past
Isn’t she too old to be joes mom
Wow... you are too smart for us 😭
Loved this season but not too crazy about the ending. The fact that Joe STILL isn't satisfied despite the fact that he has his literal perfect match and he's just planning on stalking another woman makes me feel unsatisfied. I'd rather him just have the happy ending with Love, or get what he deserves already.
Doctor Minjinx Yh exactly but some say it’s his mother or beck but bringing back his ex again is too predictable and it being his mother is also predictable. And some say it’s a dream from the acid
The real will was probably one of my favourite characters in this season
Okay but Dilelah’s death wasn’t necessary ):
*my bad if I misspelled her name*
For me it would be better without the neighbor cliffhanger. I loved the show, but I don't think that needs a third season.
Adryan Oliveira WRONG
Idk I think it could be very entertaining
@@teehee5189 how? Beck is definitely dead..
I think it needs a third season cause it sucks that Love or Joe never got caught, and never payed for their crimes. So many people have been murdered by them, and it feels unsatisfying to see them both live a happy life. The show needs to end with both Joe & Love behind bars.
OMG YES I HATED THAT ENDING
I loved season 1 and I think season 2 adds even more depth to Joe as a character. Starting with a "dreamy" slightly overprotective guy, he becomes a controlling boyfriend who murders the "love of his life". Even though he is a killer, there is still something that makes him creepily likeable (it being a crime passionnel, him posthumously "realizing" her dream of becoming a published author), challenging personal morality and ethics. Can a murderer still be a good person? I loved that in season 2 his character development continues. He is turning the page, wanting to repent himself. A fresh start, like any "normal" person would want after trauma. However, he quickly falls back in old patterns, but again - all for "good" reasons. And then he meets an equal, Love. Together, they can even gets away with the crimes - a perfect horrid good ending? Yet that's not the case, because Joe was never really looking for real Love. Love could never fix him, because it was never about that for him. This show shows how thin the line is between unconditional, real love and commitment and toxic power dynamics and control. To him, all women are weak, lying, cheaters and dependent on men to fix their life (probably based on his relationship with his mom as a young boy, where his mom kept choosing bad men over and over and neglecting the only man in her life that loved her unconditionally: her son). The only thing he wants is control over the women in his life, because he feels like it is his responsibility to save them from themselves and their "poor" decisions, just like with his unreliable mom. So he now is trying to sculpt women into the perfect love of his life, and if they go against him and damage his ego, they need to be eliminated. So far my brief, quickly written analysis of this amazing show. Can't wait for season 3
Amazing analysis, thanks for checking out the video
