I did not turn on the cc for the video. I forced myself to listen, watch and learn what these artists were saying without translation. I understood their voices, I watched their hand movement and gestures and I noticed their understanding and passion for the music. Absolutely stunning work, it made the world smaller for a short period of time. Music is an international language, thank you for your efforts to share.

Portugal Obviously, and the Dutch before them, and slaves that came from a wide area of Africa, but became known as mainly from Angola, by recent historians. Palmares, was a centre for Escaped Slaves and indigenous, for nearly 100 years in the 17th Century.
...I interpret the word "saudade" to also mean "longing". In your world, it is a longing for connection music brings from all these different countries. In mine, it's simply a longing for a connection to my country from where I've been for 50+ years. Love what you do.

Hace mucho me habían dado ganas de ver el trabajo de producción previo a los videos que presentan en el canal. Porque definitivamente es algo que quienes ya tenemos un tiempo aquí, admiramos enormemente, por el enorme esfuerzo que claramente requiere. Y ver la participación de tantos y tantos artistas y toda la logística que eso puede implicar... es digno de admirarse. Son uno de los canales en youtube mas increíbles que existen, tanto por el trabajo que realizan, como por la labor y meta que buscan.

Só a música mesmo pra trazer essa harmonia e paz de espírito! Me arrepiei do início ao fim, não por ser fã do PFC há alguns anos, mas pelo orgulho de ver quanto talento nós temos por aqui. Essa produção foi linda demais! As vezes fico pensando, caramba, quando o PFC vir a Salvador, Bahia gostaria de saber pra ir ver de perto, moro em Sergipe, bem pertinho. E vou além em alguns pensamentos, me imagino tocando meu violão em algumas das cenas, porque eu amo demais o trabalho de vocês. Recentemente, eu vi que vocês gravaram uma de minas músicas favoritas na atualidade, Colors. E de me quebra me aparece o SLASH, foi surreal! Lágrimas e euforia me tomaram! vocês são demais!

Talking about the influence of Africa on Brazilian music and culture without knowing the city of Salvador which is the capital of the state of Bahia is not a complete experience, from this city we have musicians like Gilberto Gil, Banda Olodum, Ilê aiyê, Carlinhos Brown and his Timbalada and many others that enrich this list, African cuisine is also present in the daily lives of families.
Salvador is without a doubt a piece of Africa in South America!

Se fala muito em união, mas por outro lado temos ricas culturas totalmente isoladas além do Rio de Janeiro que detém o poder de mídia no país, inclusive de outras origens além da africana. O Sul por exemplo com uma cultura única de origem Hispânica e Europeia, ou com grandes instrumentistas de música moderna, o Nordeste que também é uma cultura grandiosa. Poucos vão ousar dizer isso: saiam da bolha!

Speaking as a Brazillian. I Don't think We would like to be reconected with Portugal. Yes, we share bonds with moçambique and angola. This cultures are like mother for us... portugal is more like the father that raped our mother, made us work in chilhood, hited us frequently... so, if you think about this kind of father.... maybe it is not something that we would like to be reconnected with. We don't have "saudade". Portugal is in our blood, but i don't know if it is in our hearts.
