That's a great idea. For something much heavier, you can go up one step at a time.
Note:
It’s ok to use dollys for moving furniture upstairs, just make sure
1. The furniture can fit up the stairs
2. And two, the furniture is secure to the dolly
3. Don’t be afraid to ask your lifting buddy for help if you need it
4. Try not to damage the furniture
5. Make sure the dolly isn’t shit

Did two moves in two days and spiral staircases both of them... I'm laying in bed with my legs elevated now
I got one large sofa, 1 king size bed and 2 twin beds that I'm dreading moving right now, were going from one second floor apt to a town house which starts on the 2nd floor with a narrow outer stairway

Cisco Reynoso there called forearm forklifts. I know they sell them at uhaul and maybe homedepot

It’s a ikea desk weighs about 40 pounds we carry them up the stairs by ourselves no dolly no straps in a quarter of the time you take. JS 💯

IKEA doesn't weigh shit and I can carry one upstairs no problem. It just breaks way too easy so it takes to two of us to move it carefully. You grab it the wrong way and poof one of the seams disintegrates and your left with a pile of shit that isn't yours and a pissed off customer. I'd rather move a heavy solid armoire upstairs but then again I'm just a certified piano mover that moves furniture as a side hustle so what the hell do I know?
Just buy another one. If you brake anything you won’t get a replacement part anywhere in the world

I have those in place incuding Craigslist, except for the "directory" i also drove to apartments and shared our business cards. Is Yelp effective? they are charging $17 per every click. $450-$750per month for 25-42 clicks in total.

Hope you guys didn't have a full truck to unload...that's a brutal complex. I have a love/hate relationship with moving apartments lol.
I kind of regret getting a second level apartment. Good thing is, moving there it’ll only be a box spring, dresser headboard and boxes. Moving out will be a couch, dining set, bedroom set, misc items and boxes
Is it unsafe to wrap the furniture like that?
You putting pressure wrapping it like that and can bend that side of the desk.
