A Los Angeles man is paying the price for trying to mimic the speeds that Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd obtained in the "Back to the Future" series. In the famous films, when the car clocks in at 88 miles per hour, it travels through time. Grad student Spencer White was driving on the freeway when he realized he was way over the speed limit in his DeLorean but pushed it to 88 miles per hour and was pulled over by police. The DeLorean is one of the most iconic cars in movie history. #InsideEdition

Adrian Babulal Yes, but causing himself to not go 88 miles in the past would make it so he never got the ticket in the future, so in the future he wouldnt have gone to the past to avoid the ticket, causing a paradox and the ticket to remain no matter what.

maybe it's Hollywood tax.. maybe there was another charge that's irrelevant to BTTF and therefore omitted..

@@DoctheFox3913true. 85 mph speedometers were mandated in 1979 due to the energy crisis. Ironically, it was lifted in 1981 although you see some cars of the following year with 85.

You could have disputed that ticket in court. I'm a big BTTF fan, and my friend had a Delorean. Getting that Renault Peugeot engine to even breech 85 is a miracle. The speedometer only goes up to 85 anyway.
