LLLT or low level laser therapy is a home treatment for male & female pattern hair loss. In the past few years there have been increasing papers showing the efficacy of these devices, hence I am partnering up with iRestore, the premier device, to subjectively investigate the claims
.
Hair is either in the process of growing, resting, or falling out. The light energy acts like water and nutrients that are absorbed by your hair follicles. A scientific explanation is that LLLT modulates nitric oxide & mitochondrial metabolism, in turn increasing cellular metabolism. This prolongs the growth phase of hairs (anagen) & increases the number of sleeping hair follicles transforming to the growth phase. An analogy is that LLLT awakens resting hair follicles causing them to grow in number, length & width, improving volume
.
Who are ideal candidates? Early to mid male & female patterns of hair loss (genetic, hereditary causes)
.
Does the laser hurt? No. It;s low level. Zero pain
.
How to use: Put the helmet on, press a button & it safely illuminates for 25 minutes. Use it 3 times per week. It’s hands free, so you can do other stuff whilst you grow hair!
.
Why is iRestore superior to other devices? iRestore Pro is the only device on the market to combine 282 LASERS and LEDs to provide the correct light output and power level to stimulate the hair follicles. iRestore is FDA cleared & comes with a 12 month money back guarantee.
.
Can it used with traditional methods of hair loss treatment?: Absolutely, combination treatments work best
.
When will I see results: at the 3-6 month mark in most individuals, but individual results vary

I’ve had my device for about 2 years now and I love it. I was diagnosed with both androgenic alopecia and alopecia areata in 2020 and I’ve used this in conjunction with Rogaine, Nutrafol, diet changes, other dermatological treatments and significant diet changes. I’ve had a wonderful experience and my hair is back in most spots. I have one stubborn spot growing a little slower. But the hair that’s grown back strong and healthy!
May I ask what diet changes you made and why? Where can I learn about this?
So basically you don’t know if it worked
BUYER BEWARE!!! THE RETURN POLICY IS MISLEADING.... they will take off 18% of your total. So it's a partial refund not a full back money guarantee! I just found this out after returning mine after a year of no visible results.
You can take that to court if that was not in the fine print because that would be misleading the public.
Yes they should be upfront but even if it’s 18% off of what you paid it’s still very generous.
@@sable7114 They do disclose the 18% restocking fee. You are correct tho. I am still debating whether to try this or not.
@@listenlearn3644 oh my why would they restock it, are they planning to sell it to someone else. I've heard about those restocking fees and I think that 18% is probably the total worth of the item so they lose nothing we lose everything if it does not work. You know it has been marked up greatly . Worth it to me though if it works. We shall see
Been using Irestore almost 6 months......I am recently starting to see something happening, little hairs sprouting along the hairline and not seeing quite as much scalp showing through. This is something that does take a long time, be patient keep doing it and don't quit. Cautiously optimistic, it absolutely appears to be doing SOMETHING. I know I'll never get back the hair I had at 20 but if this device brings back some hair I'm thrilled. I was depressed about my hair loss (androgenic alopicia) but I'm no longer depressed, this is exiting!
I’ve literally cried myself to sleep because of AGA. I started using this about 2 months ago. I read your comment and I have hope. A lot of people think it’s a scam. My brother swore by this and made me buy it. I just pray it works for me.
@@connita1305 your beautiful no matter what happens
@@Jay-ry2nk aww! Thank you so much 🙏🏻🥹so sweet!
@@connita1305 I just pray God brings all the right people in your life and keep uplifting you when times get tough
@@connita1305 you have great hair in display, but I hope it works for you. I am buying mine next week so will post the review here . Good luck
I've been using the iRestore in conjuction with a topical solution that contains both minoxidal and finasteride. After a full year, I met up with a friend that hadn't seen me in over a year, and she commented on how much thicker my hair was. It's all about combining 2 or more hair restoration systems that work best for you.
i've been using this regularly for a year and I see no improvement. I'd say this doesn't work.
I don't know what kind of hair loss I have, but this is music to my ears!
I’ve been using this cap for a month and a half, and I’m already seeing results.
Thanks, I love the before and after pictures :)
Thank you so much Dr Lim, very interesting
I started using my LightStim on my head and it regrew my hair after about two months. It is made for wrinkles but it worked on my hair!
I have onwnd this device for several years. It absolutely worked for me!
Are you male or female? How much hair growth did you get? How bad was your hair loss? Thanks for your comment.
Thank you for the video! Does it aggravate melasma?
Probably it is ok to use when I am using regularly tretinoin.
Alright Doc! I used your discount code! I hope it works!

Does this work for scalp health for psoriasis? Does it work through the hair? Or does it need to touch the scalp surface? I'm losing my hair from the topical treatments for the psoriasis.
If hair follicle diameter matters, would mixing microneedling and the laser therapy work for better results?
Been wondering the same. Did you find if it is safe to do microneedling along with light therapy.
Absolutely. It helped me to gain more density, love dermaroller 0.5mm.
The jury is still out as to whether this will work for me but I did get it and trying it out. Thanks for sharing the information.
I found it caused shedding
Would love your thoughts on it!
Any updates
@@WorkhardPlayhard651 haven't used it consistently enough lol 😂
I'm seeing a trichologist tomorrow... this must be a sign
Thank you so much Dr Lim for this informative video! Can irestore help frontal fibrosing alopecia in the females in your experience? Thanks
Hello GW, I also have frontal fibrosis alopecia. I was just wondering if you ended up purchasing an irestore helmet? I am keen to hear other people's experiences with the device.
What is it is used in conjunction with Minoxidil that contains .01% tretinoin? Can Retin A be used with iRestore? Please let me know.❤️
Is it better to use 1st thing in the morning or before bedtime?
Thank you for such great info. Is there any difference for covid hair loss?
My husband had salt and pepper hair and lost all of the brown hair. Is there any therapy (I ordered the Irestore) that will bring back the pigmented hair? So far all new growth is white.
What has he been using that is working for new hair despite it being white
Can this worsen the melasma on my forehead? Or will wearing sunscreen while using be enough to prevent this?
Would this device assist with telogen effluvium?
I didn’t work on me at all. I’ve been using it for years now and did absolutely nothing for my hair loss. Very expensive and very disappointing. Minoxidil worked really well for a number of years but I developed severe allergy to it and had to stop using it.
Sorry to hear.
did you do anything other than wear the cap and try minoxidil?
So I bought the Irestore unit. The inner front pad leaves a very large lumpy impressions on the forehead that last several hours. Very tight and uncomfortable It also doesn't address the side temples its high on the head. I decided to return it after a month. I figured 12 month return policy no problem. WRONG. To return it BEFORE 12 months I lose 18% plus pay for shipping. Buyer beware
This
Don't know where you live but in America if the manufacturer has a guarantee, it must be honored. That is the law. How much did you pay for this device?
@@Better_Call_Raul Yes they do have to honor their guarantee which is after 12 months if you're not happy happy you can return it free shipping and pay 18% as a restocking fee. Also if anything is wrong with the unit they want an extra 18%. Email and ask them I have gone back-and-forth with this company. They also try to comfort me and tell me that this is very generous and all companies do this
@@Better_Call_Raul I live in Florida and paid around $800 for the unit
@@Tammylrichardson0302I agree that 12 months is a generous return policy. But the huge 18% "restocking" fee is simply outrageous. I would be wary of dealing with such a company.
I don't think LLT works on already vanished (Aga) hair follicles.
O K fine but where can I purchase one, and how much are they?
Is there any dangers with laser radiation so near the skull ?
FDA 'CLEARED' IS NOT THE SAME AS FDA "APPROVED"! You won't know what side effects you'll have down the road! brain tumor? No thanks!
No
Careful. Used hairmax and trention on my face only....and lost 50 of my hair.
Do you think Hairmax Laser Band 82 is better because you only run it for 90 secs.
Thanks for your information dr davin. It is safe to use minoxidil topical and finasteride topical for the long term?
Yes, very safe. Maybe people having been on them for 20+ years with 0 zero issues.
@@Dan-ul1sf thanks bro!
And you will not regain a single hair
@@shankarbhai1681 not true
@@Dan-ul1sf it's true because I have used this shit for many years.
If you're making a review about a iRestore product while being sponsored by them, how would we know that your review isn't biased and therefore distorted? In the beginning you stated that everything is "your own thought", but that doesn't necessarily give a 100% guarantee
I can't find one single person using this device that is not sponsored or have codes/links to buy it.
@@Willowy13 the upside is though that you look like douche if you're wearing one
I work on a building site, can I wear it to work as a hard hat?
lol
I was wondering if all red light therapy was the same? Because I already have a pallet of red light diodes but no lasers lol
This is totally anecdotal, based on my experience. I use a mito red light box for red light therapy for collagen stimulation. I've noticed my hairline getting thicker.
@@CarolSmith_authoress_ can you please share the name of the device you used for the stimulation of the collagen 🤍🙏
Does any who has purchased from this US website know if the power plug fits for Australia?
they will provide you with an adaptor.
Can you review or compare to the HairMax Laser Hair Growth LaserBand 82? It’s more comfortable to use.
I cannot use the topical Minoxidil. Is there another treatment that you recommend with the laser?
Look into topical Dutasteride first, then topical Finasteride. MinoxidalMax sells topical solutions that contain any combination of all the proven hair restoration properties.
You really do need to address DHT. If you look at minoxidil studies, hair loss continues after being interrupted by minoxidil for about 5 years. A growth agonist won't stop the underlying problem. Again, this is DHT.
So what stops the DHT? I'm allergic to Rogaine so I'm trying pumpkin seeds because they are supposed to block DHT.
Saw palmetto
how to buy it please?? I live in Algeria
Can we use it while on accutane
Can i please please schedule a virtual consultation with you? I’m in Maryland and can’t travel. I spent thousands in dc but I’m scared the laser is making my skin worse
To anyone who's doubting, these laser hair helmets really do work. I've had my Lescolton laser hair helmet for a month and a half now and am very happy with the results
They should have made it look like a bike helmet. Or a cowboy hat. Or a big wig.
Where can I buy this? Does it need to be from irestore or can it be from Amazon?
Costco online is selling it. It’s where I bought mine. Currently discounted too! Been using for 2 months, and seeing changes already.
@@beatyardiestone oh wow I never would have thought Costco, thank you. Can I ask, how was the shedding phase for you?
Currently in shedding stage now, and it’s not bad. No clumps or anything like that. My hair feels thicker and baby hairs are sticking straight up. I’m thrilled actually. So many years of trying supplements, serums and most recently, micro blading, with no results. I can’t wait to see how I’ll look once I reach 6 months. Worth a try!
@@beatyardiestone that gives me hope. Thank you!
@@beatyardiestonehey, did irestore work for you?
Does it work for everyone?
No, it does not work for everyone.
What Davin conveniently forgets to add in this sponsored video is that the 12 month money back guarantee is not for the full amount you have paid. It's less a18% service fee, and the shipping cost. If you use his discount code he also gets commission which makes this video unethical and potentially biased. He also states incorrectly that this is the only device on the market to combine 282 lasers. While this is a great device with actual science behind it, this whole video is a money making exercise.
It is pretty clear from the video that he is a paid endorser (who says he also believes in the product). Don't find the discount link to be particularly "unethical" as long as viewers actually receive a discount. Many CZcamsrs say, "use my link to order" and I always assume they get a commision... As for return shipping, the other poster from Florida said the company promised free return shipping (in writing?) but was not honoring it. But the company did mention the 18% restocking fee for returns.
🙌
I need you so much
Are you on minoxidil topical or oral ?
He said topical foam
So, in your video photo you show the Essential. I know that there are some differences between the Essential and the Pro. Wish you would review what you *advertised* that you would review or both. Disappointed.
I trust you.
Is it safe to use lllt while microneedling scalp.
im not a sponsored user of this, its been over 2 yrs of using this... very little to No effect. really. if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
“Sponsored by irestore”. Next.
Have not watched the video yet. Preliminary thoughts:
Lasers are also very successfully used for hair removal. So what determines whether the
laser treatment destroys the hair follicle or stimulates hair growth? Skeptical that this works.
Also, why can't it be used on men with very advanced stage hair loss to get a little growth in the front, similar to what Biden has with his hair plugs in the front.
The primary determining factor is wavelength.
If that really work why we don't see enough people know about it ?
And unsponsored ones at that.
Come on man, we trusted U. 😩
Have not watched the entire video yet, and yeah, it comes across as an infomercial. But who knows. Maybe he really believes in this product. Doubt he is gonna put his reputation on the line to endorse junk.
I swear i just want to hear about this product, I don't want an education on it, or hear life stories, just show us FN results and if this FN works.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
cool man
If you're male and aren't on finasteride or dutasteride none of these gimmicks are going to do shit...Its merely a cash grab
yeeeep
Exactly!!! Also minoxidil won’t help either if you’re not on fin or Dutasteride.
@@wulfsorenson8859 It'll help short to mid term but it's a losing battle.
Oral or topical
I'm sorry but these do little to nothing and are extremely overpriced. Trust me... you'll want to use the money back guarantee. You might as well just get fin or use minoxidil, things that actually work.
Sorry to jibe you but no one can get a single hair by minoxidil or finasteride
Minoxidil works for many but I'm not interested. Too much of a pain in the ass to apply. And everything falls off if you stop using it.
@@Better_Call_Raul there's oral minoxidil
@@TheMrKlassy True. But Dr David says foam is more effective and has less side effects...The best option might be follicular transplant. Heard about this a few years ago. Doctor said it is being developed in Australia and will be available in a few years. It should be available now. Don't know what happened. Something to do with a medical breakthrough that allows growing more hair per transplanted area.
Yes there is oral, but it’s not approved for hair loss around the world! So there is that problem, where the foam is readily available
