I like using a method that attaches the lining to the bottom of the bag because my linings always end up sitting loosely inside. I tend to make my linings a little bit smaller so they fit more smoothly. Good tutorial for beginners. 😁👍💕

Nice tutorial! If I make a bigger basket, do I use the same 1 1/2 square at the bottom corners or do I make that bigger as well?

I was told you need to change the square size depending on the size of the bag.

I would like to use hexagons, would I sew them all together to make a fat quarter size then use the fusible interfacing and open all the seams?

Hi. I made one of your basket/bags and it came out great. I have one question...
You said if the fabric you ironed isn't flat you run your clapper over it.
Sorry but I'm from the Midwest in the US and I have no idea what a clapper is. 🙄😄

A tailors clapper sets seams and creates pleats and folds...but l use it as an ironing tool as well.. l hope this helps...l will have a link so you can see what it looks like amzn.to/2QqDRPb

Could I make a bigger basket? What’s the largest you have made? Do you have measurements?

I love these little bins, but haven't been able to find a good pattern. Yours is great so simple to follow along on it! Hope to have some time this winter to do some sewing. These would also look really cute quilted with a narrow cross-hatch. BTW, is that a watch or a bracelet? It is beautiful!

Hi Sarah, thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment...I appreciate you being here with us...these fabric baskets are fantastic and great for storage :) ...the watch is a fitbit type watch...monitors my steps, and other health related things...I like mine to be be like bracelets as opposed to being tight against my wrist :)

This really reminds me of the zippered flat bottomed pouches we did last year for the swap only without using the fusible foam.

I think it would be easier to close up the lining fabric by machine before you sew the inside and outside together.
