This is the part of this drama I disliked the.most. A selfish Emperor who could have any woman takes his brother in law's love. The Emperor's guilt showed in this scene...he should feel guilty!
This Erqing killed Fuheng’s sister, had adulterous affair with his brother, deceived the emperor ( who is Fuheng’s brother in law) and she still had the nerve to ask for apology..... leaves audience speechless with disgust.!!!

Actually, IMO it's the emperor's fault. He didn't allow Fuheng to marry Yingluo in the first place, forcing him to marry Erqing. In the end, he made the three of them unhappy; Fuheng had to marry someone he clearly did not love, Erqing married someone that she actually did love, but unfortunately, this person did not love her, so this so-called love became an obsession, and Yingluo lost her lover, because of emperor's jealousy. That's sad, imo he truly ruined their lives... Look, Erqing wasn't like that from the beginning. She just fell in love with some handsome guard, and when they married... Well, you know already what happened :(
Yes, Min has the 100% suitable critique about Erqing, evil, shameless and inhuman. Fuheng is heartbroken... in tears stating the deep feelings ❤️ toward the woman he loves and lost by mistake and confessing his regret and not knowing how to live the rest of his life...I am so saddened by this episode, such a tragedy!
