Hey me again with the Wall of Shame idea (and the Velvetiser)! And that is one heck of a scary gadget - sex toys for dogs?! Now that's something you wouldn't want to win on the old Gadget Show Competition! Dashcams are always good to review as it's very hard to find something which works longer than a few months. Great segment on the smartphones too - I would not want glasses (as I don't wear them), I'd rather have a wrist computer as per Mass Effect, or something you can put down and turn off, which you can't really do with your glasses.
For augmented reality, you would need glasses? Do you never wear sunglasses? My problem would be breaking them, or losing them, as I've done with many sunglasses. Maybe a hat could work😂
I have a z fold 4, (have actually watched all the gadget podcasts on it). I agree this is the first time in many years that it 'feels' like something new. The genuine convenience of having this foldable for me, is worth the change. It is an adjustment from a normal phone, but once you get used to it, you won't want to go back. If I want to watch a yt video in more detail I just fold open and I'm more immersed, documents and books are far better. I have also on many occasions now been in a bar with friends and I just open my foldable and stream the football game which will can all enjoy! 'Sent from my z fold'
Great show guys. I do think that wired internet connections ( inc in the home ) are going to become obsolete in the next 5 to 10 years. It will become the norm to have unlimited 5g/6g data connection, for all devices. Especially if you use laptops. I can see sim cards to become standard fitment in computers too.
The problem I have with glasses is that I always break them, or lose them. It would end the urinal, who wants to be livestreamed while having a pee? Would love to ditch the phone, a heads-up device does appeal to me.
I didn't like the format the show took when Craig Charles took over, The way he had the presenters lined up on chairs was very demeaning .....it used to be a must-watch TV show at one time with Jason, Suzi, John & Ortis who really made it entertaining .....
I am so disappointed by the quality of the phone element of most smart phones. Dropped signals and most calls take 3 or 4 attempts to complete. 5g is not the solution and the coverage is pretty poor out of urban areas. Most motorways are network voids and this new tech is not progress.

I shop in Hemel who like to test 5g and apple hates it. 5g is not rolled out as finished and many years will pass until it is.

Sounds awful - wandering round with smart glasses that show adverts everywhere and other information - we will just become even more detached from the real world....

I like the idea, but they look so thick when folded. My phone is quite thin, it feels big in my pocket already. I hope they make a thin one.

Hated the series ... a cheap, childish and out of date Top Gear for Curry's Electrical! This podcast series is how the TV should have been!
