NO EGG QUICHE (VEGAN) | easy delicious recipe

    This finger licking quiche recipe is egg free!
    You can use the crust and egg replacement with any other filling you prefer, in the video i'm using a spinach, mushroom, tomato filling, try using soy curls or mock meat it will taste amazing as well.

    Ingredients:
    Crust
    - 2.5 cups AP flour
    - 2 tbsp sugar
    - 25g vegan butter or margerine
    - 1/4 cup canola oil
    - 1 tsp baking powder
    - Pinch of salt
    - approx. 140ml oat milk (little over 1/2 cup)
    Egg replacement
    - 3 x 250g organic firm tofu
    - Oat milk (around 2 to 2.5 cups)
    - 1.5 tbsp olive oil
    - turmeric to taste (for coloring)
    - Aromat (approx. 1.5 tsp) to taste
    - black pepper to taste
    - 2 tsp egg replacer (use one that contains methyl cellulose)
    Filling
    - 300g mushrooms
    - 100g cherry tomatoes
    - 200g baby spinach
    - Olive oil
    - garlic powder, salt & pepper to taste

    I rarely cook anything that takes more than 15min because I feel it's never worth the effort, but this I will definitely try! And all the different varieties you can make: mushroom, onion, tomato, black olive. Forest mushrooms, onion, vegan bacon. Leek also works nice

      Yes!!! It's worth the time. Although it doesn't really take that long maybe 45min. Try adding beanit or soy curls/balls in it also it will be nice 😋😋

    Looks great! I haven't tried it myself but I've seen people recommend steaming tofu to give it a milder flavor.

      Thank you! I guess even boiling it gives it a different flavour, if it's bitter you might try that but the brand I used was good enough that I didn't need to change its flavour much :)

      Thank you, egg replacement is a product that you can replace with either methyl cellulose or potato starch, you can also use corn starch if you don't have any of the above :)

    It's not a quiche
    A quiche is a pie made primarily of eggs and cream in a pastry crust.
    This is a tofu...something or other

      Definition of quiche: 'a baked flan or tart with a savoury filling thickened with eggs, usually eaten cold'. Since we don't eat eggs, we use something else. I often use mung dal. It contains protein just like tofu or eggs. The funny thing is that non vegans don't notice any difference if they eat it without knowing. ;)

      Aromat seasoning is not vegan. It has lactose ( milk) in it.

      ​@@theplebian7504 I realized that in some places it does as you said, we have here in Finland many brands that are vegan and called aromat salt.
