40+ years ago, RTF in Albuquerque while serving in the USAF. One of my great concert memories. Sharing with a new generation. God bless you, Chick! 🙏🌞
@@RevDrDavid777 ui
Just thanks for all you talent Chuck
The good year God bless them all
@@juliannazareth6795 beautiful acoustic guitar sound great
Lenny White is one of the most precise drummers ever. Never rushes, never hurried, just nails it beautifully. He also has great groove. He's actually leading this band from the back to a great degree, and with these fellows, that's saying something.
I agree, he blends funk rock and jazz so effortlessly and as you said his timekeeping is just right.
back in the day, sometimes during Vulcan Worlds, they'd go so far out there was nowhere left to go. . .Lenny would ALWAYS bring it back in. . .his sense of rhythm is astounding!
I can't argue against that, but I have diggin' on some Vinnie Colaiuta for quite a number of years, now...
Kidding?!)😅
you nailed it 👍
RIP :( CHICK COREA - As a member of Miles Davis's band in the late 1960s, he participated in the birth of jazz fusion. In the 1970s he formed Return to Forever. Along with Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans, he is considered one of the major piano voices to emerge in jazz during the post-John Coltrane era
oh yes indeed, and OMG I didnt know he passed over to RTF
Yes, I read that.
I totally agree with you. Chick Corea was a musician extraordinaire. Between Return to Forever, his acoustic and electric bands, he was awesome. Plus, the 70's were the best time in terms of music. I miss that decade.
Long Live Chic Corea
There has been talk of super groups of rock, this was truly a super group of musicians...period!
Wow! Saw them in concert 3 times, just amazing every show. The last show was with Jean Luc Ponty who fit in perfectly.
Wow!
I always loved Jazz since I was in High School in the 1960's when a friend introduced me to several Jazz Albums and I never looked back! I started listening to Jazz Fusion in the early 80's with bands like Weather Report and Return to Forever and my Musical life was changed Forever! WOW What a Trip it has been! Hear I am at 78 years old Listening to this Great Forever Music that will Never Die!
I returned to forever with you !
Remember Lonnie Liston Smith?
R.I.P. Chick - you plugged straight into the universe with your playing.
Just found out CC crossed over to rest with his Ancestors. Rest in peace and thanks for the years of beautiful music. Never forget seeing RTF at UC Riverside in '75.
Saw them around 1982 at Vanderbilt here in Nashville. Awesome! RIP Chick.
😭😭😭😭
Wesleyan -same year, touring with Renaissance
Same time frame, plus or minus a year or two in Albuquerque, small venue, what a privilege!
Ugh, that was terrible. So self-indulgent and un-melodic. Grooves were lifeless, pro-forma. Al is especially awful. WTF has happened to jazz?
Prayers for Al DiMeola for his recovery after having a heart attack on stage last week. 9/27/23 🙏
For sure hope he is ok? Sending blessings Al..
well documented side effect
Is He Ok? Didn't know.
He resumed performing on stage in January 2024.
After having written and played this so many times, Chick returns to forever. Thank you, sir.
Just fyi, Stanley Clark wrote Vulcan Worlds, and I think it's one of RTF's very best
Never will I tire of this band. Never.
Well then return to forever.
Greatest jazz fusion band of all time!
I agree!
Really? I don't think they are the greatest. I think they are amongst the greatest, but I wouldn't put them at the top of the list. Here's why.
If you had the 1st generation of Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report (with Jaco) and Return To Forever on the same bill back in let's say 1973, Mahavishu would have been the headliner. PERIOD… They would completely blown everyone else off the stage. I saw these bands in the 70's, and that's MY expert opinion…. RTF was just more accessible.. But the thing that got me with RTF was that they had their solos written out back in the 70's. and that's what totally takes away from the improvisational aspects of being a "jazz fusion" band.. I was heart broken when I found out...
I think you will get a very good argument with Weather Report and even King Crimson, right!
@@stevekatz4372 King Crimson I would consider a Prog Rock band.. But if you are talking about who would headline if you had all of the fusion bands in their prime at the same concert? Mahavishnu would undoubtely have headlined and they would have blown doors off the place.. I've seen MO, RTF and Weather Report and without question, MO was completely mind blowing..
None of these bands would have wanted to go on stage after MO.
@@Oneness100 i fuckin love mahavishnu
R.I.P. Chic Corea . Thanks for all the great music . ; )
I was 16 years old when I heard RTF, after being listening to Deep Purple, Black Sabbath etc I thought RTF were from another planet, it blew me away, what a band !
I was about the same age when I first heard them and I felt the same way!
coming from heavy metal bands like that,
RTF is an oasis in a desert of noise.
Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Al Di Meola, Lenny White...what more can you ask.
Saw these four perform around that time at a small theatre in New Fairfield, CT.
Donald Halas Lucky you😀!
#metoo
I was there when Chick and the guys auditioned Al and it was amazing! After everyone left I said to Chick, 'so how did it go?' With a wide smile he said, "Rich he never took his eyes off the Music!" not for a second"! "Never looked at his Guitar!" That's when I knew Al was in! 19 years old! Amazing to have been there! Lovingly, Richard Grasso. I also recorded with Chick in 1974, our managers were looking for a record deal for me as an Artist. Got the deal a year later! 3 of my songs we recorded together would up on that Album. See Discogs Richard Grasso 1 on Tiger Lily Records. Yes! Just he & I back and forth on different instruments, well we only had The Arp & The Moog synthesizers back then and a little Farfisa organ! Chick plays great Drums if you didn't already know!
Chick Corea really put his heart into creating music and I am so glad I was listening since I was a teen in the 70s
I discovered the wondrous universe of jazz thru fussion jazz in the mid 70s.
Me too!
Taught me so much about real music. I learned there's more than 3 cords! 🤗💛
Same here, been listening to RTF even before AL Di Meola arrived. It's a mind blower 😊. Enjoyed seeing them in the beginning and perhaps appreciated seeing and listening to them later. RIP Chick.
Ditto. My friends thought I was weird but I didn't care... and still don't LoL
I saw Stanley in concert in the 70 s and also me and my friends went to the movies in nyc and saw marathon man with al dimeola I was 17 and will never forget it
RIP Chic.. one of the absolute founding fathers of jazz fusion..& absolutely one of the greatest Jazz and jazz fusion pianist composers who ever lived. your music changed the landscape and you also were instrumental in bringing many great musicians to the stage starting their careers.. my best to the family
grew up with this. My uncle played Trumpet on "My Spanish Heart" with Chick. One talent never to be repeated. RIP CC
Saw the Elegant Gypsy tour front row when I was 14... changed my life.
I was lucky enough to have a horrible youth listening to fusion jazz in the late 70s and early 80s. I saw a RTF show at DAR Constitution Hall in 1983 with Lenny White, Al D, Stanley Clark and Chic Correa. Still one of the best concert experiences of my life!
Yea saw RTF in 81 SDSU amphitheater
RIP Chick. 25(6) Grammys! In 1983, I took a country lovin' hillbilly to a RTF concert in Raleigh, NC in front of maybe 2000 people that turned him into a jaw droppin' forever lovin' fan. I'll never forget and neither, I'm sure, did he. What a night.
My brother had this album back in the 1970s. At first I was like what the heck.. then it started to do its magic on me. Blessings to Chick and all the fantastic musicians. Thank you!
The greats are like a good wine, they get even better with time ! Return To Forever is one of my favorite 70's fusion band, along with Weather Report, Mahavishnu, Jean-Luc Ponty, Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, George Duke and Billy Cobham. I always love how Return To Forever were able to switch from electric to acoustic, and sound so good in both. I am lucky to have a chance to see Stanley Clarke perform twice, and blessed to see Chick Corea perform twice with his acoustic-electric band, in 1988 and in 2016. I had a chance to talk to him after the concert, what a great Man. R.I.P Chick...
Stanley Clark is a BAD ASS!
Legendary lineup....Amazing albums under their arms
RIP MASTER CHICK!
Lenny White. He always leaves me breathless. He swings the hardest. His touch, dynamics ... fuck!
I'll never forget the great comedian Steve Allen (the original TV talk show host before Johnny Carson, and a rather fine pianist himself) introducing him at a concert I was at, stumbling around on stage, having trouble reading a piece of paper (unsure of who was going to play), looking at the scrap of paper, squinting his eyes, and introducing... "some chick from Korea."
RIP my dear Chick Corea. I grew up with you my entire musical life. It brings me tears to think of all the musical joy you brought us. So sorry to see you go. So happy you blessed us with your astounding, astonishing and marvelous music that took us all to another planet with you. What a GIANT he was. How lucky we were to know him.
I’ve seen him for over 40 years and always astounding!
never was more talent assembled in one band of 4 people.
Love to see Al Dimeola show restraint
You know he tear it up at any time. All musical geniuses
Stanley and Lenny That is Rhythm And Groove. This Group Was Instrumental in So Many Young Musical Lives. Nice to see it again.
Love & Peace to Chick Corea and your loved ones. Your music changed the course of my life
to a musically magical direction. The sounds you left will inspire souls for eternity.
Just four legends doing legendary things.
Man, the memories: The 70's, the Air Force, California, rides along the coastline, the beach, cool friends, lovely ladies, record stores, flea markets, sunsets, drive-ins, star gazing, stereophonic receiver turntable reel to reel 8-track tape player, real concerts,
RTF, Weather Report, George Duke, Tom Scott, Steve Khan, Jan Hammer Group, Donald Byrd, Crusaders, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, CTI Jazz, Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Bob James, Maynard Ferguson, Hubert Laws, Ronnie Laws, Herbie Mann, Bobby Hutcherson, Ramsey Lewis, Noel Pointer, Dave Grusin, Eric Gale, Anthony Jackson, Alphonso Mouzon, Gary Burton, Dave Valentin, George Benson, Keith Jarrett. And that's just from the top of my head. ;-/
Yeah ... that is quite a list you made! Sounds like we have similar eclectic tastes in jazz. From my end, I would add a few Brazilians into the mix, Elis Regina, Hermetu, Milton Nascimento, Tonhino Horta, Joyce, and of course Tom Jobim. Come to think of it, it would be interesting to imagine a head to head comparison between American Jazz and Brazilian Bossa/MPB.
Steve Martin First, let me say thank you for this list of great artists. I'm always searching for music I haven't yet heard. Jobim I recognize immediately from his CTI Jazz days. By sheer coincidence, I was listening to the "Magic Moment" music by Marcio Montarroyos (which I owned back in the early 80's) on CZcams while reading your reply. Is it any wonder why Brazil is listed as one of the happiest places on earth? Again, thanks.
doc2skate Hey doc ... if you are still exploring those Brazilian horizons ... my top recommendations for albums are 'Tom & Elis' and 'Passarim' for Jobim's slightly later albums, Milton's 'Club de Esquina' is classic MPB, and Joyce's 'Feminina' was ground breaking Brazilian fusion when it came out. And I think there are scattered clips of Hermetu Pascoal Live at Montreux on CZcams ... his early stuff was wild ... kind of like Frank Zappa meets Bitches Brew. 'Slaves Mass' - where he pinches a pig for musical effects are one of my favorites - though I heard the SPCA got on his ass for that one ;-) ... and of course his frequent collaborators, Airto and Flora are among my favorites. If you go for Flora's 3 octave scatting, screeching, and screaming (I do!) - her album 'Milestone Memories' is hard to beat. A more recent album or two that is REALLY well done as a testament to Tom Jobim are the collaborations between Sakamoto Ryuichi on piano and Jaques (sp?) and Paoula Morrelebaum (I probably misspelled their names ... but the music is sublime).
For great individual songs, there are so many I have yet to discover, and I am likely to fall in love with a new song every week, but among my favorites are Ivan Lins 'Velas Icadas' and Toninho Horta's 'Aqui Oh!' ... looking forward to hearing reactions and recommendations from you.
doc2skate You nailed it pretty good from some of my favorites "back in the day" (and yet today). I would have to include John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Grover Washington Jr., Eddie Harris/Les McCann, David Sanborn, Alphonso Johnson to name a few.
doc2skate They don't make them like these guys anymore :-(
These guys play so well together like butter.
This is the future and the past and the middle, and all that exists, thank you all.
What is this? Return To Forever? Then they smiled! That was 1974, 47 years of grinning. Thanks so much Chick Corea, your music will be played Forever.
Stanley Clarke's acoustic bass solo is stunning. The band are incredible, but that moment really stood out for me.
When Stanley Clarke played with jazz violinist John-Luc Ponty, it was absolutely stunning!
This era of music was so wonderful - and we are so lucky to have lived then and experienced it!
Music, Music and Music with real instruments.
Lenny White still has that 'Lenny" groove feel. Just so smooth, with those thundering Tom's when needed. Al? The man. Fantastic showing.
man i love Stanley Clarke! after listening to Chick's sublime generosity and sweetness night after night during quarantine, i feel like i lost a friend...it hit us all hard! but if there was anyone ready and open to just pick up and try the next thing, it's Chick! xoxo
These guys played this like a high level jam session.
Aghast at the musicianship.. Speechless...missing Chick and loving his Tyner and Monk riffs..Len, Stan, Al. Thanks for channeling the music of the gods.
What an awesome group of musicians rip chic thanks for the great music and memories
I was living in OSLO ‘70s, worked as security of Bands’ Dressing Room when concerts were held in an indoor stadium in the university of Oslo where I was able to meet RTF,Weather Report,John &Mahavishnu(such an incredible guitarist at this one concert, buy the album “Birds of Fire).JJ Cale,Roxy music,Elvin Jones, remember Manfred Mann??Bowie et al.What a city Oslo. Now back home in Sydney a retired academic, from a long haired hippy always high on”Hash.”No”Pot”in that part of Europe, always visiting Amsterdam &London,Girls galore in 70s too!!!World is sooooo fucked up now!!!🤦🏽♀️🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♀️🤷♂️What happened???They call it”the blues!”Sat down at the feet of Lightin’ Hopkins,Sonny Terry Brownie McGee now they lived&played THE BLUES.Met Johnny Winter in SAN Francisco and when living in NYC went to the last concert at The Fillmore East( Allman Brothers Band, buy the CD that was taped at that concert,Black&White cover).Strangest thing,I had no ticket as concert was SRO,sold right out,70s expression, standing with a large crowd looking in when this tall guy who was crying walked up to me,” you have a ticket? No I replied. He handed me his and left in a hurry.I went in,5th Row aisle seat and weird, the seat next to mine remained vacant???New Yorkers!!??Reflecting on this another incredible event in my life there,I witnessed what must have been some sort of “Breakup?”You never know what’s at the end of a Rainbow?HuH????I lived in Seattle and moved to Renton right across from the Cemetery where Jimi Hendrix is buried, met a neighbor who showed me the first Headstone on Jimi’s grave. He stole it.A small slab of concrete and chiseled into it was” JIMI HENDRIX.”That was it that was his wish!!!!!!Of course as a Guitarist, my favourite is Jazz Legend Kenny Burrell and when Jimi first heard him he said”that is the sound I want.”Jimi is said had a great sense of humour so when he heard guitarists copying him he is reputed to have remarked,” some of these guys even play the mistakes I made!!”Just haven’t been able to get my son now24 to appreciate Jimi, different generation.🌐has changed, but for the better???At least with a deadly virus you die in bed as opposed to wasting away with radiation sickness🤕☠️You gotta go when you gotta go.Skol.
... Thanks for sharing Michael. I'm 61 & have some musical stories also. 70's were the Best, huh?!....
My fondness for Chick Corea began in the 70's , in Cinncinati @ the Alley. He was dope then . Can't get him out of my system now . R.I.P
RTF was incredible. I was lucky to see them in the 70's and also when they got back together. You'll rarely see this much talent among any quartet in any genre! RIP Chick and thank you for your precious gift!
I wonder if Chick Corea might possibly remember me. Most likely not but back in the day I wrote to him for a while and Chick always answered me back. I no longer have his address but I miss that. Thank you kindly Chick if you get the chance to see this. You and so many others have made a huge difference and impact on so many of us.
RIP to a legend.
saw RTF back when romantic warrior tour was on. the precision and perfect timing of chic, stanley, lenny an al , still gives me goosebumps.
Saw this tour from close to the stage in a gym at Weslyan University, Middletown, CT, in May 1976. Still have the ticket stub & newspaper advert. These 4 guys had an uncanny ability to play in sync, as well as play counterpoint to each other, as good as anyone I've ever heard. One of my "Big 3" fusion bands, along with the original Mahavishnu Orchestra (saw them 5 times), Weather Report (especially the Alphonso & Jaco lineups). And shout outs to the many other great '70s jazz/rock bands: J.L. Ponty, H. Hancock's Headhunters, L. Coryell/Eleventh House, Brand X, T. Williams Lifetime, & Bruford, along with some of the ensembles & lps by F. Zappa, J. Beck, Gong & others more associated with rock. And, in his own category, the guy who (imho) he generally spawned the genre: Miles.
I was 14 when i first heard RTF, coming home from school one of the older guys on the block was kicking out duel of the jester. from his big ass kenwood speakers.. Thats when it was a thing..BLEW ME AWAY...WOW
I miss Chick Corea. So glad I saw RTF in the 70s and 2000s. The talent !
Four miraculous musicians on stage together!
These guys compliment each other so well. I love how in tune Al Di Meola is with Chick Corea's ideas. His melodic contributions on the first tune compliment Corea's lines and scales beautifully.
Well he gets in Chicks way harmonically. Chic looks at him saying knock it off. Guitarist should know don't comp for a pianist unless requested to.
@@paxwallacejazz 😂 I would disagree. He doesn’t overplay here at all…
Against the back drop of eternity, he was with but a short time but I enjoyed his being here with us - may all us musicians touch the world in a similar way - R.I.P. Chick - may his family be blessed as well.
Di Meola music thinking is STAGGERING
I just heard about the passing Chicka Corea, for all y’all that came up as young teenagers and those that were introduced to this great music you came up in the best of times listening to like Return To Forever. You remember where you where, who you may have been with, see I remember cause I was 11 in 71 and an Cousin turned me on the fusion sound of Jazz. I’ve been hood ever since, one my favor is the Mad Hatter by Chicka Corea.
He and many musicians who have gone before him are missed. Please y’all of the Older generation, play this music what ever your doing so the neighbors, children & grand children can enjoy what We enjoyed in our younger years turn them on to Jazz & Fusion Jazz, let them experience what real instruments are, remember Jazz Music is a Culture to be heard and shared by everyone it’s a Universal Language. R.I.P Chicka Corea, your sound is greatly missed and will be admired and hopefully shared. 👍🏾🪶🪶🪶🪶🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹
Thank you, Music Gods, for so much talent all rolled up in one group!
Cuatro genios tocando en uno de los mejores grupos de Jazz Rock de toda la historia.
I saw Stanley Clarke and Chick Corea! Many times in Milwaukee Wisconsin! Awesome RIP! Chick Corea! LoL Robert 🤣🙏😎🤣😎
Siempre he admirado a estos virtuosos , los oigo desde que era niño!!!!
Wow... haven't heard this in years. Great stuff. And don't forget... Stanley supplies all your funky needs. ;)
What I especially liked about it is that it appears to be very much improvised. They are all watching each other and feeding off each other. Had to have been great to see live. They all still have the right stuff! !
Dave H.
That’s Jazz, there is a basic framework, then everyone improvises within it and feeds off each other. You should listen to a Miles Davis and John Coltrane play together, the Someday My Prince Will Come” album is a good example with two takes of the same song on the same album, both are incredible.
It's jazz ... that's mostly improvisation.
Weather Report was bad to the bone, but the chemistry between this four guys was awe-inspiring.
All us who lived the late 60's-early 80' know. I want to hang out with everyone who commented on this thread! 😎
I was also 16 when I was introduced to RTF, almost wanted to give up playing my bass after eight years in, I couldn’t believe how good someone can be on both a double Bass and electric bass....and the technique of all of them..just knocked me out
!
Stanley Clarke!!!!!!!!!! is the MAN!
D:
Yep. First bassist I ever heard play a bass like a lead guitar. And his looks! Major crush when I was young. :-)
Stanley Is The Man. Spawned an Entire New Generation.
@Stick32 Jaco Pastorius....
@@STRENGTHSKATEBOARDS Your'e kidding, right???
I saw RTF with this lineup in 1975 at the University of Washington Student Building for $5. They were all in their 20s. There was no stage as they played on the floor. There were no chairs...or seats. Everyone stood...or sat on the floor. We were lucky enough to sit right up front....7 feet from Stanley Clarke. RTF is the best live band ever!!! Thanks for sharing....
Saw them at Kean College in New Jersey around the and time. Noontime concert in the student center for free. They were on FIRE
@@HarrisTrevorJ saw them in the early 80s in philly great show !
Saw them at Reed College (Portland Oregon) in '73 (I think) in the gym. Absolutely great!!
I was a kid from the suburbs near D.C. ...listened to typical F.M.radio stuff, Stones, Aerosmith, Kiss, etc...and I saw Return To Forever on a late night concert show playing and I lost it. I had never seen anybody play this type of music before...I was done! A bit later I saw Mahavishnu Orchestra on the same channel and I was completely done! The level of musicianship was unbelievable...I still listen to what I had been listening to, but much more...Thank you !
Al Di Meola at his finest!!!👍👍👍
Dang! These guys are just TOO GOOD! Their talent is not so much that they all play great, but in that they can remember ALL THOSE DIFFERENT PARTS!
They are very wel rehearsed .
I know that I’m late to the party but, that acoustic guitar solo around the 30 mark? WOW!!! This team never ceases to amaze.
Back in the early 70s, when I was a student at MSU, I lived down the block from the Stables. It was a brand new bar. My best friend said, "Hey, let's go check the place out tonight. When we got in, there was no audience, yet, just us. We sat at the front table, right in front of where the band was set up. These four guys walked in (RTF) and started to play. We had never heard of Chick Corea (or even of jazz fusion). They absolutely blew us away. It was one of the most amazing live performances I have ever heard. RIP, Chick. you changed the music world!
I wish CZcams gave us the option of a "love" button, not just a "like" button. This is just absolutely fantastic!
So many great memories I have when I listen to this band. Hanging out with great friends , zoning out and letting the music flow through body & mind. RIP CC
Bon voyage Chick - thanks for letting us listen in to the many amazing "conversations" you had like this one, with Stanley, Al, et.al.
These ( 4 ) unbelievable musicians that Stormed their own Classical backgrounds together is just ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!.IF ANYONE WHO'S HAD HONOR TO SEE THIS IS PERFORMANCE WAS BLESSED. MY TIME IN HAWAII WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL AND TO BE THERE TO SEE THEM WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!.M.T.S
After a very fine performance, they front the stage together and are saturated with the love and passion of their audience. Many many years of experience between them, they communicate the music with each other and confirm each movement with silent expressions. This is the oneness of connected souls. Though Mr Corea has crossed over to our future, I am certain these souls are connected eternally.
Great to see them together again. Reminds me of my college days. Everyone is a star in his own right. Hats off to RTF they still jam royally.
My favorite band of all time. In my opinion it is by far the greatest band of all time. #GOAT
With pink floyd....
It has taken 14 billion years to reach this point in human musical education and study, the rest of us musicians are 2000 years behind in our studies.
This band was on a different level. Theres just no surpassing this.
RIP Chick Corea..... never to be forgotten
This is just as amazing now as it was back then! Thank you!
Marilyn Zabilski Agreed
+Marilyn Zabilski And each and every one with their own original lifetime long careers. It's amazing that this band could even exist. Timeless, and a huge musical part to my whole adult life. Saw this tour at Saratoga. Thank you RTF. There must be close to 100 albums released between them.
@tom blake ... Are you fucking kidding me?!....
OMG I have NEVER heard a double bass played like that before! Totally amazing!!
Astonishing! Chick was the master! RIP.
Thank you for this. Brings me back.
Incredible! First heard them in the 70's. Didnt think they would reform after such a long period.
One of my near brushes with greatness is when Chick Corea used my CryBaby while giving a impromptu performance with Ron Moss at the private school I went to. He had come to see if he would like to enroll his children. I never found out if he did or not. - Chick has recently passed at the age of 79 and the best memorial I can give is to share this vid with, what I consider to be the greatest line up he's ever played with (my opinion) - Thanks all of Return To Forever. Chick will be missed
Absolutely enjoyed this. Thanks for posting.
A masterclass from four top musicians AWESOME
look at what you have here,al,stanley, chic, and the infamous lenny, this is the ultimate inspiration for any muso,s,its such a shame that the narrow minded music industry sucks so bad to not promote and inspire, young people to grasp real talent.
So much talent, so little music.
Great concert... thanks for share...great...great performance...
THANKS for posting!
1974 - University of Toledo - "Where have I known You Before" tour; heard a 15 second blurb on the radio and decided to go-walked out never to be the same!! Think it cost $3.50!!! Al was reading music off charts and the sound he got out of his black Les Paul/Marshall half stack was incredible! And the show was held in the student union auditorium where the following year Queen played during the Sheer Heart Attack tour!! Great times for music back then-
Maestro de maestros, lo primero que escuche en el Jazz fusión; descansa en paz y gracias por estas piezas musicales.
What a gem! Thanks for the upload for all of us who weren't fortunate to be there at the concert!
That was totally awesome... The whole show..!! Thanks..👍
I was a sophomore at the University of Michigan when I first saw RTF. The group was performing at the Silver Dollar Saloon near the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing. It was a show not to miss so I took the 90 minute drive from Ann Arbor to East Lansing to see legends in the making.
Worth it just to see "Medieval Overture"--one of my favorite songs of all-time.
