TTK - I don't normally leave comments, but I wanted to say you're doing a GREAT JOB at Guitcon!!! This two-part, behind-the-scenes segment with the very knowledgeable Phil McKnight was fascinating, showing the German futuristic efficiency. But your other content (and appearances) has been equally spot on. Loved your GearManDude interview, as well as the TC analog vs digital delay comparison. But the 'creme de la creme' was the way you kept you composure, class and cool after being baited by that pompous, in-your-face, sarcastic ass who was just waiting to rip your head off over a past Ibanez video you made. You handled yourself well, and proved you're not only the Tone King, but also an American ambassador. Rock on!

I agree that TTK has absolutely ROCKED GuitCon! He must have about 20 cameras at the ready with batteries charged (plus his phone). He has done an excellent job at capturing the goings-on at GuitCon and the amazing look around the Framus / Warwick facilities.
      Well Done TTK!

All of this is a great testament to German engineering - you need wonder no more why their cars are so good! In terms of a statement of quality - this shows just how high quality the guitars are that come out of this amazing hi-tech factory - props to Warwick / Framus!

  • @aquilarossa5191

I had been wondering how Germany manages to have some of the best working conditions in the world, yet production remains competitive. This factory shows some of how they do it. Workers there for the most part have good wages and do not work long hours. They have long paid holidays and lots of benefits. But the companies still do well. It is not a matter of one or the other. They are not shy about investing in tech to do it either.
Shenzhen in China is another amazing place. Something like 15k of recharge points for electric cars, all of which are solar powered.

Also, one thing I forgot to mention on the Part 1 of the factory tour, is the large quantity of wood material they have in stock. I know all factory must have a large stock of wood, but it seems like they really really have plenty of it...

Purple heart wood is a bit like poison ivy, though not as universal in peoples' responses to it. Though repeated, or long term, exposure will eventually lead to becoming susceptible to its chemical irritation if you aren't already. Older wood that has been handled a lot lose the irritant, though over that time it'll also lose the purple color and go dark brown on you.

Think about the quality of the guitars they produce that they don't need to use "made with clean energy" as a selling point.
