    That’s the beauty of “Die Ärzte“: They are very political (being a punk band), but also funny at the same time. And they’re fabulous musicians. They influenced me to be a very political person who speaks out his mind.

    I wish the Ärzte had the same reach as Rammstein. They would be a far better choice to represent German music. The lyrics are more profound and have an important meaning. Their message should be recognised worldwide.
    We as users can contribute a lot to that. Play the videos to your friends, play the music at parties and ask for the songs to be played on the radio. It's only a small contribution from each individual but overall it's a great power.

    8:30 : A really VERY GOOD idea that I, as a German, would like to support. But I think the 3 artists just want to stimulate ideas and not make politics themselves. They are original punks and very left-wing. They have successfully released songs against neo-Nazis and are worth listening to and paying attention to. But they probably won't become politicians.
    A few suggestions:
    - Schrei nach Liebe (1993)

Some brilliant ones I'd suggest you listen to are "Männer sind Schweine" (the video clip alone makes it worth your time), "Schunder Song", "Junge", and if you want to go really old school, here are some fun ones from the early 80s. 1,) "Pushed away" by the "Toten Hosen", a German Punkrock Band. They usually sing in German but Pushed away is in Engkish. (Maybe because they wanted to be understood by everybody, not only in German speaking countries.) Great music, great lyrics and an awesome music video!
    2.) "Susaman" by Șanișer. (Susaman means I can't be silent.) This is a coopaeatuon of Turkish rappers. Each rapper chose a topic to rap about. It is in Turkish, but there are English subtitles. It is a loooooong one but it is worth listening to it. Two of the "chapters" in this song made me cry. Maybe after listening to it, you can guess which ones.

    Regarding wealth: Even during the time of the pharaos in old Egypt wealth was better distributed than today. Either we go the socialists way and start taxing the 1% or we should just crown these rich wankers as kings and be done with it.

    • @quigge1337
      @quigge1337 Před měsícem

      I dont get the point why people think that if the Government gets more enriched, everything will suddenly get better. If you raise the taxes of the "rich 1%" in the western world, water still doesn't flow in Africa and China still craps on the environment because that are not wealth problems. Taxing something doesn't magically change anything because the tax doesn't goes into the pocket of the people that actually need help, it goes to the pocket of the government that is taxing. In Germany e.g. the government already taken 70% of your wealth back the "socialists way". That's the average total tax burden including all taxed you encounter simply by living. The government doing this for decades now. Things didnt get better in this decades for the most part. Neither in Germany nor in the world. So in which way could more tax money for the government from rich people suddenly work and create us a world of milk and honey? The only way to make this world a better place is by increase the wealth of the people. To reach that goal the government has to decrease the average total tax burden, not increase it. And here is another thing: Guess who has to pay the skyrocketing prices when you drastically raise the taxes for all the companies that rule the world. Raising taxes to make the world a better place dosnt make any sense at all.

    • @jancleve9635
      @jancleve9635 Před měsícem

      @@quigge1337 First of all, things got better in germany. After the war my country was a big pile of rubble, today we are export nation no. 1.
      Second, I specifically talked about taxing the 1%.
      Third, as a citizen of a socialist country I see and experience my taxes at work for me and my fellow citizens in thousand little ways every day.
      Most of this i took for granted and never thought about it much.
      After 2 years, 5 amazing international projects and 3 countries, I came back with a whole new outlook.
      I no longer complain to much about my taxes because I experienced the alternativ.
      Yes, our federalistic gov is sometimes overregulating and slow as fuck but at least they try to find the middleground between a predatory free market and a goverment planned system economy.
      With mixed results...

    • @quigge1337
      @quigge1337 Před měsícem

      @@jancleve9635 First of all, germany isnt export nation no.1 anymore, has been for years now, and probatly never will be again export nation no. 1. with a continuing downward trend because of more and more rules by the government which is btw. the opposite of a free market/capitalism. And that germany economically raised again after WWII is thanks to capitalism. Germany was doing well because of capitalism, not socialism with a planned economy. Thats a fact. How well germany would do with socialism you saw on the german democratic republic which only lasts 40 years. Germany now is economically downtrending because of uptrending socialism and more and more pointless taxes and rules which leads to costs and scare off investors. Second of all, you didn't touched my point at all. Ok you see your taxes working for ya and I agree but what if you would just cut 10% taxes off because they wasting like a way greater amount. The german government wouldn't run out of money. And they wouldn't need to cut off on social benefits or other things like that. There are so many pointless things where the government is wasting billions of our money instead of increasing our wealth so it makes just no sense to raise their tax money even more. They first need to solve their spending problems with billions of tax money like its pocket money before the people or "the rich 1%" have to pay more taxes. And if you traveld the world you probatly also saw the extrem money wastes in pointless prestige projects by the governments all over the world. And taxing rich people is also the opposite of increasing wealth, because they will simply compensate that by raising prices, cut jobs and lower wages which again leads to less wealth and higher taxes (e.g. VAT) for the people. A minimum wage has also the same effect. A bottomless pit. Socialism is not the answer to wealth. Its the opposite.

    • @HenryLoenwind
      @HenryLoenwind Před měsícem

      The 1% are a distraction. Those 1% are there because they own stuff, not because they earn money. Sure, owning stuff more or less guarantees you earn well, too, but they are not the problem. The problem is the people who earn money because that money has to come from somewhere. It's not the one owning the investment company owning the bank owning the real estate company owning the factory building; it's the one operating the factory and paying low wages to the people who work there.
      Taking stuff the 1% owns away does nothing for the general populace. Even if it was to be given out in equal amounts, it's not as if it was worth anything---who would have the money to buy it? End even if, it'd be a one-time bonus payment that'd evaporate in no time at all.
      Instead, the people who earn money need to be targeted. Income tax for the higher tax brackets. Because that's where the real money and real power are. Those are the people who buy politicians (they call it "campaign contributions"), and that's money that will keep flowing each and every month. This is money that can be channelled elsewhere and will change the balance of wealth distribution over time.
      Yes, there's a certain overlap, but the people who earn money and spend it are way more dangerous than those who own a company that has risen in value a thousandfold over the last half-century.

You are correct with regard to the connection to democracy and participation in the political, non-parlamentarian process, but you would be grossly wrong to associate this song to, say, taxation or (Randian) Libertarian political concepts. Some kind of (imo) oversimplified anarchism in a Die Ärzte song can be found in other pieces, like „Bitte Bitte“ (1988 - and, well, more in the video to the song than in the actual song) or „Die Regierung“ (1995). In the „Deine Schuld“-video you get the imagery of the leaking/sinking boat, the build-up of the tornado, etc, which I think there is at least a little more of an (also) ecological background.
