  • Book-Off is a famous used bookstore chain in Japan, but it also carries many game products. In this video, we randomly pick up PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, PS, and PS2 software, and hope you will also check out the reasonable prices, which would make you forget about inflation.
In next videos I will look at retro games like Super Famicom and Nintendo 64, semi-retro like PS3 and PS Vita, and even a few consoles. Don't forget subscribe to wait.

Man it's so weird how some games are so much cheaper in Japan whereas others are cheaper in Europe. I bought harvestella for 15 euros which is a little bit over 2000 yen and in this video it's 5000 yen. But in general most games are cheaper in Japan! I can't wait to visit Tokyo again next month! I am coming with an extra suitcase just to buy games!

I was surprised to find a complete anniversary package of Metal Gear Solid 3 for only JPY 100 (abt $0.72). What treasures have you found? Please let us know in the comments!

What does it mean this hand written number in sticker? Its the price?

The hand written number is a reference number for the staff. It is id for them to take the disk from the back yard at the time of reimbursemen, no meaning for us.
The price is the number printed on the sticker.

I do not know how the staff at the *-Off stores don't go crazy listening to the looped song playing constantly. I was only ever in a store for about 15 minutes but it really started to make me lose my mind.
I didn't find anything at the Off stores in Tokyo but I did in Nagoya. I bought a bunch of games including Mike Tyson's Punch Out for a very reasonable price and I found Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, and Super Mario Kart all in box for less than 6,500 yen for all three.
I left a bunch of great stuff behind like a Super Scope and a Famicom Disk player since I was worried about the space in my bags. I wish I had gotten the Disk system, it was 4,000 yen in the junk section. I don't need it to work, I thought it would be neat as a display. I never found another one for less than 10,000 yen. And I should have bought that one! Maybe next time...
If anyone is looking for a copy of Derby Stallion though, I can tell you where to find it!

You thoroughly enjoyed 'off' while the music in the store drove you crazy. Thanks for sharing that there is such a great store in Nagoya. I hope you have another great shopping experience next time!
