Germanicus - a statue's story: Part 2

In the second film about our wonderful statue of Germanicus, we cover the recent collaboration between Wentworth Woodhouse, the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and PES Scanning.
We're constantly looking to offer opportunities for young people to engage with Wentworth Woodhouse in innovative ways, and the Germanicus project has provided just such an opportunity for one of the AMRC apprentices.
The collaboration is also part of a wider programme of work to establish new ways to raise funds for the regeneration of the Wentworth Woodhouse site.

Do you have plans to clean the marble of Germanicus? I live in Portland, Oregon, USA and am planning a visit to Wentworth Woodhouse in the near future. I love these videos you make to share the stories and histories of the house and grounds.

We have no plans to clean him at the moment. He's safe inside the House now and there are lots of other priorities that we need to address. Let us know when you're coming to visit!
