PGC Basketball Camps:
PGC is where serious players train in the off-season. We teach players to think the game at a college and pro level and become leaders both on and off the court.
Thousands of players from middle school to college attend a PGC camp each year. Our camps are specialized for players at every level of the game, so no matter what level you play at right now, PGC will help you reach the next level.
We teach the game, not a group of skills specific to one position. Any player will benefit from a PGC camp - regardless of their position or skill level - as long as they are truly eager to learn the game.
More than 95,000 serious basketball players have trained with PGC in the off-season, and it’s where top NBA and college coaches send their own kids to learn to think the game.

No bs or self promotion straight to the point love it.
High school and college teams don't always have ball-handlers who can do these things, but these skills are very useful and all players should learn this ART of basketball.
agreed kdis theswe days dont know how to play ball.
@@xFateDashthat is infact not true
That's true. Need to master core basics agian. Man, Doubt it but gotta try.
Since i am a point guard i need to be a good playmaker, thanks for da useful video!💪🏾
No problem!!
@@PGC_Basketball Yey u replied haha!!
Same bro
Good video
@@itzcjofficial6265 how’s that working out for u cj
jason tatum is definitely one of my favorite players to learn from. thanks for the tips!
i think when being a smaller point guard like i am, you have to force the defense to always be on kind of that confused state while also not hesitating I struggle sometimes getting through and moving the ball quickly enough for my team to get the ball in the basket it all really just comes down to how well you work in under pressure and always going in your own pace not the defenders pace.
thanks for the video man this is gonna be a huge help i can’t wait for practice tomorrow to see how i can improve from these clips
As he poops his way from the defense sounded hilarious I'm sorry 😂😂
Excellent vid. We need more like this!!!
Basically have patients and make the right reads… sounds easy enough😅
Key word sounds
this is awesome🔥🔥
Thanks so much!
These are so helpful since I grew early I was a post in middle school but now in high school I'm a guard, thanks!
this is great!!! thanks so much
Amazing video thanks
i learn something new every video
the problem with creating plays at school on the courts for me is that no one tries to cut to the basket or atleast get open and all of them beg for a 3 point shot that theyre not gonna make
Have a rule... you pass, you cut. Call the paint the decision box. Once you pass, go to the decision box and reset to the open space on the perimeter.
I all ready had a high basket ball IQ and now I have a even better IQ thank you for the video
Im a point guard so this is great to know! Great vid!
Great vid
Thxs 😊
Any other videos or content you would recommend to learn more about basketball literacy? And how should you train efficiently your basketball literacy? Just playing and making decisions?
Can you guys make a video about drills to do when injured, because I just pulled my hip flexor and am supposed to sit out for 3-8 weeks! It would be really helpful. Tysm!
Hey Dragon! Sorry to hear about your injury. That's no good!!! Great video idea. We'll add that one to the list!
@@PGC_Basketball Thanks man you guys are the real mvps!
Thanks for the tip 😉😁

keep working brotha.. no days off !! 💪🏽
You can make it brotha, I’m 15 working towards it too and been seeing a whole lot of progress. Wish you the best of luck bro 🙏🏽
bruh im just tryna not be the worst one at PE
similar situation
Im a pf but I can play point and sometimes I have to so thanks for making this
I play sf or pf but yesterday in the practice coach put me on pg. I love it
Your point forward? Cool
*You’re
Can you elaborate on the shoulder/arm read versus chest read please? Great content 🔥🔥🔥
The chest read means the defender has slid all the way over, with the intention of drawing a charge. The shoulder read means the defender is only trying to get a steal or an easy block, whilst also trying to play the passing lane.
Thanks @Gregory! Matt's point on the chest/shoulder read would be this: If you see shoulder (or arm/hand/etc.), don't give the ball up. Continue to attack and force multiple defenders to rotate/help. When you see a defender's chest, that's when you know it's time to do something different (pick up your dribble, use fakes, pass, shoot, etc.). Too many players don't understand this simple concept, and they pass the ball immediately when they see shoulder.
@@PGC_Basketball i still dont understand can you make a video?
shoulder arm is not as good as chest trust me i played ball in grade 9
I'm a bigman. Mostly I play the #4 and #5 position. And there are times I'm the one that's been creating some plays to my teammates and my point guard respects that. What I'm doing is I'm creating plays when I'm in the LOW POST. I'm waiting for great cutters especially when the defense collapses. If not I can go 1on1 in the POST to score.
Helpful💯
Is this same for point forwards?
What's POA?
Glaze
Basketball literate I like that term I think right now Trae Young is one of the Mose literate players in the game
I am a shooting guard. How can I make myself visible in an offensive set. Because I am a knock-down shooter
sitting corner can be good at times, but if the defender won't leave you, don't be afraid to move around and create space. the more people running around on offense, the harder it is for the defense
@Chas3 ... here are some good ideas for you on moving without the basketball. They'll come handy regardless of what offense your team runs. czcams.com/video/quuyGtnNR0E/video.html&t
What if I don’t play point guard at the moment can I still make these reads?
Yes
Yes
And this is why I need a new controller
If u REALLY think about it. The top 10 players in NBA history could all play defense🤯
Who's in your all-time Top 10?
#1 javail mcgee
PGC Basketball Kobe,Lebron, Dwayne wade, Steve Nash, Dirk, Shaq, Steph Curry (when he retires), Myself lol, and Gary Payton, and Tim Duncan
@@shesopradajaye 😂😂😂😂
@@gintokiisthebestcharacteri7938 there is nothing wrong with his list.
I’m starting to look at basketball more like chess 😂
Luka is a tall pg, smaller point guards need to be faster, u can change speeds but when attacking be fast
Pause at 1:11 1 snatch back was all it took
Why is the corner shot the best shot in basketball?
I be farthest shot away from the help defense and it’s the shortest part of the 3pt line so pretty much easiest spot to master and get open
Most efficient shot in the game
I am a point guard, and I haven’t been able to be a good playmaker
We always loss matches
What about now?
I’m not that physically strong compared to others I play against so I need to use my brain to out smart them
How to improve IQ:
Irving shooting the ball on 3 guys**
He was going for contact.
Liked “Pivot out of pressure”
luka is good but there was 4 open teammates in that first play
3:37 I would argue that is a low basketball IQ moment since he had 3 guys open and decided to shoot the ball while being smothered. Just my opinion…
Its prob cause he has a personal trainer
I got forced to watch this😑
