- Raptor Liner paint job. Pretty easy to do. Took 2 boxes. Kit came with gun and hardener. 2004 Dodge Ram 4x4. Turned out pretty nice. Very durable.

Raptor liner aways looks so smooth.
Yes sir! It’s affordable too. Might raptor liner my utility trailer
Looks so good with the chrome rims and everything else in black. Also the paint covers up the dents soooooo good, wow! Will have to try it myself!
Thanks I got more compliments on that truck than any other one I’ve had. It is a really unique look. I would recommend leaving the handles and mirrors not covered in the coating it makes it look more professional
@@Jonesblt Thanks for answering! Yeah, looks awesome! Will dismantle everything and maybe also re-attach the chrome emblems so it looks more "OEM". Will be some extra work, but I think it is worth it. Will build a stencil from cardboard and tape to measure the exakt stock positions. I initally planned to do my truck in grey raptor, but yours looks so good in black I will do mine in black, too!
That actually looks really good
Thanks buddy. Really not to hard. I recommend it for a truck that would need a lot of body work to look clean.
Looks good
Thanks
Must be nice being tall enough to reach the top of your truck! I’m going to have to use a damn ladder and a step stool!
Haha it does come in handy lol.
I'm going to do my 2002 Ram 1500. Wasn't sure about the black, but yours looks great. Those few little dings could have been mudded and sanded prior. I've seen lots of Raptor videos lately, and some people mud the little dents and they go invisible.
Your truck looks awesome and I bet it hold back rusting up any further.
I had a lot of deep gashes in the body work on the truck. To have painted it good it would have needed a skim coat of bondo on the whole truck. I didn’t use any just sanded it. It covered all those blemishes up and looked good.
That looks killer ❤️
Thanks
Lol its shite' you can see every dink and stratch!
That’s a clean paint job 👍🏻
Thanks 🙏🏻
Lol no it's not you can see every dent and dink in that thing!🤣
Wow! Looks good ... what type of paint equipment did you used cheer and thank you for this awesome video
The paint gun came with the raptor liner kit. Just a 7 gallon home husky air compressor.
Id think your sand papper choice is too smooth 240 would be max ??
Looks good, check my Dodge 2001 Raptor lined truck at Rushton Works
Ok bud!
How many coats and how many bottles? Did you spay the back of the cab and the front side of the bed or just left those alone? Looks killer man
We sprayed it with the bed still on. It was already a black truck so you couldn’t tell.
8 bottles probably 3-4 coats
Do you have any experience painting? I have none and really want to do this project on my 06 Dodge Ram just wondering the level of skills I would need…. Thanks good job btw!
I have painted a few things. Raptor liner is easier bc the body work doesn’t have to be perfect.
How does it look after 2 years in the sun? Has it faded at all?
I sold it about 6 months after I did it. But it hadnt faded at that time.
Other than taping and the other removal items did you have to do any paint prep to the truck itself? You did a hell of a job
We sanded the whole truck down with 300 grit sand paper
how many bottles for the whole truck?
8
Getting ready to paint my van. Curious about what size compressor you used. Thanks bud.
It’s a husky 10 gallon compressor. It worked pretty good. You could paint the whole side without losing to much pressure.
How is it holding up
I sold that truck a while ago. But when I had it it held up good.
Where are you located at man ?
We work on Dallas and central Florida
How many bottles did you use to do the whole truck?
We did 2 kits or 8 bottles for the body.
@@Jonesblt thanks
How much in total cans needed?
I used 8
Bruh if you gonna pay that much for 2 kits at least get the dents, dings and scrapes out of it,showed up big time!🤣
No need
Anything that's worth doing, is worth doing right! #Lazy
@@Jonesblt Yeah, the non-reflective surface covers up a huuuuuuge amount of dents and scratches...
