I'm a Christian and the daughter of a pastor. Just wanted to share something that my parents once shared with me regarding divorce.... Though of course divorce is never the first choice, and a couple should absolutely do everything in their power to fight for their marriage, it is the COUPLE who needs to fight for it. If HE wasn't willing to fight for it, then the 'sin' in question is not yours. It sounds to me like you fought hard for it, and you have really been purposeful and thoughtful in trying to learn from the experience and make sure that any mistakes you may have made in your marriage won't be repeated. So in my opinion, anyone who no longer follows you because of your divorce isn't following the example of a Savior who came to redeem us all, not just the ones who have never made a mistake. Hang in there, M, because I think you're walking through this with grace. 💗
Amen!
What a beautiful comment
100% agree!
So beautifully said ❤️
Yes!
Christian here that 100% supports you. You’re taking care of yourself as you should. Continue to share and grow and be the strong woman you were created to be. ❤️
I’m A Christian also and agree with you
Amen!! 100% agree with you 🤗
@@Petunia1738 She's been getting snarky holier than thou comments from people who left after making her feel less than then hiding behind the faith.
Me too ❤
Totally with you. Love and prayers❤❤❤❤
It takes a strong person to walk away from a toxic relationship. Be proud of yourself. I’ve walked away 3 times. I’m a survivor and so are you
3 times??? Wow hmmm maybe you are the toxic one
People who claim to be “Christian” and judge anyone for life’s situations are ridiculous. I am a twice divorced woman and only God alone knows my heart just as yours! You have got this beautiful friend!
THIS!!!!
IMO, I think the bridesmaid dress looked best without the sash. Such a beautiful color!
I think it's absolutely disgusting that those people sent you those messages. If you're going to unfollow someone, just do it, just leave. It's seriously vindictive and cruel to send someone a message saying why they're unfollowing you. What do those people expect? They disapprove so you're going to go and dissolve your divorce, and be married to a toxic person? I hope they watch this video or look back at this and be ashamed of themselves. They should ask themselves if God would be proud of them for spreading hatred and judgement in His name. You're better off without those people in your life. You deserve so much kindness and warmth in your life, purely because you put so much kindness into the world.
This is so very well said! I wonder how many times God does a facepalm or sheds a tear because of the way we use His name incorrectly.
I think the other question people should ask - "What do they expect you to do - to be involved in a marriage that is three-way"? That seems unacceptable. Like Diana/Charles/Camille? (maybe I'm too old - and the readers here won't get that).
@@beckypetersen2680 Don't worry, I'm British, and I definitely got that reference!
I don’t understand how anyone could judge your life and say they are a Christian. It’s not our job to judge. I’m so proud of you. You are strong.
AMEN!!!
It’s not Christianity that’s the problem. It’s people who think that just because they identify as Christian that they are perfect. There is no perfect person and the purpose of following Christ is to try to be a better person. They’re falling short and need someone to blame. Screw them. Love, light and blessings to you! ❤️
Couldn’t have said it better !!
Very well put, Shannon C, couldn't agree more! btw, I like the dress with the sash, Michel. 😊
Very well put and agree with you
100% agree!!
100%! You nailed it Shannon!
The dress is gorgeous! I think the sash dresses it down surprisingly, almost making it work appropriate. I’d go with no sash.
Agreed! :D
Agree!!! no sash
As a woman who spent almost 30 years in an unhappy marriage let me say this especially to all the young women out there. I am Christian, I fought hard to keep my marriage going despite not feeling fulfilled and I did it partly out of my beliefs and just plain stubbornness. I finally left but not before I had damaged myself financially, emotionally and spiritually and that doesn’t include what my children went through. You did all you could…but it takes two to make a healthy relationship!
This is hard to swallow, even though you didn’t go into detail, I feel like I relate to this comment.
I can relate, it was so unhealthy for me and my children but I was so afraid to leave as I knew I wouldn’t have my families support. Leaving was the best thing I ever did. ❤️
I wish you every happiness every day for the rest of your life x
@@shegathers6120 I feel the same She Gathers. Only it still IS me. At my age financially too hard to end it....
You are not alone in your experience. The decision to finally leave is difficult after so many years together. Life is better on the other side of it all though~
Christian here! Been one my whole life!!! And I work for a missions ministry that has tons of missionaries all over the world! It's not ok to judge someone for their life situation. We didn't know any of the details until Michel shared her divorce story, which actually shows her divorce is not a sin in the eyes of God, since he cheated on her!!!! Michel, I hope you ignore those people! Just the enemy trying to hurt you further. You have been way more kind than I could have ever been if my husband did that to me. He didn't deserve you and more! God has the right man for you and I pray that you will find him in God's timing (no one else's as its really not their business). If you're Christian purposely hurting others, especially those who have done no wrong, you need to ask for forgiveness. You're the one who is sinning. Period.
True, Divorce is not a sin ! Does God sin ? No ? Well He issued a divorce decree to the nation of Israel because they took on other gods, therefore being unfaithful.
Yes ❤️
I’m Catholic and 32 who has never been married or divorced but I have my fair share of sins. But none of that matters because I’m a human and a woman and I support you because of that simple fact that we are all humans who want love and deserve acceptance. 🙌 Perfect timing in my life to find your channel!
Christian here I got divorced several years ago from an abusive emotionally ex. I got kicked out of my church but never stopped believing! You are doing great!
I’m an atheist and find it incomprehensible that you would be alienated from your community for protecting yourself. Domestic violence should never be tolerated. I’m glad you did what you needed to and hope you’re doing well, mind, body, spirit, and soul.
I’m so sorry you experienced that with your church, that is beyond unfair. Love you, friend 🤍
@@MoreCoffeePlease. thank you so much for your kind words! 🖤 I hope life is treating you kindly as well! At the end of the day we are all humans and should all be treated with love and respect no matter what our religious beliefs are. We need more people like you, in this world!
I am so very sorry your church did that to you. I hope you found a new one that loves you for YOU and for your strength to leave a dangerous relationship.
Y’all I’m crying from the outpouring of love for the longest time I kept thinking bad things would happen ex. Job loss or life’s changes because I failed God…. I kept telling myself I left Him down and that’s why I can never seem content, seeing all of your kind words and out pouring of love means so much, thank you all for this, and thank you @Michel for being so raw and transparent so that people like me can feel loved!
There's no shame in doing what is best for your life. Martyrdom isn't admirable. If there are some who are so judgmental and uncharitable they feel the need to unfollow you, they shouldn't be a loss to you. Stay strong and keep living your best life. ❤
I listened to your divorce story the day it went live and it was something that really stuck with me. It made me sad how much blame you put on yourself. As a former Christian that was raised thinking divorce was a sin, I think this makes people stay in situations that are harmful to themselves instead of living their best lives. I truly believe you did everything you could in that relationship and keeping it going wasn’t the best thing for you mentally, spiritually or physically. I’m so glad to see you thriving and living your best life now. There are so many more experiences in store for you in your next chapter!
Michel...not only do you look happier now, but so does Max!!! God bless you both!
Michel, you are so beautiful inside and out. You have helped so many young women. If someone doesn't want to be your friend because you are divorced, then they weren't a real friend in the first place.
….& old(ish) women. 😘
We are so proud of you Michel. You are so brave and carry yourself with such dignity and grace.
i feel like the intro and the music that opened the video represents so well the gentleness and grace that you’ve shown in this season of your life, you’re such an inspiration
Thank you, sweet friend 🥹
I noticed the change in music too. I like it!
I loved the new intro!
You are a breath of fresh air. I really admire your strength throughtout this journey and things are only going to get better for you. 😊
A true Christian doesn't judge. Their lack of compassion is not welcome here. I love it when the trash takes itself out. You're amazing Michel x
When you said ‘How are ya’ All I could say is ‘Not good, not good at all’ I’m crying my eyes out because of my partner and I’m watching your video as comfort, thank you for being there for me with your videos ❤️
@@rachelreynolds0430 Hey dear Rachel! ❤️ Unfortunately yes .. things were going really well for a few days and all of the sudden a fight again. I’m so emotional because I’m not a quitter and we still have such good times together. But sometimes I feel like he doesn’t fight as hard for me as I fight for him. It’s painful when you love someone so dearly but know that maybe you do need to call it quits 💔
sending you so much love. I'm so sorry you're having to go through this, and I know how that feels first hand. just remember your strength, your worth, and what you are wanting & okay with for the remainder of your life ❤️❤️
Sending so much love your way, friend. Wish I could give you a hug 🤍🤍
For all the people that are going to say she shouldn’t get divorced or it’s not biblical, it actually is. He cheated on her and the Bible says that that is a totally valid reason for her to leave a marriage. I’m not saying that’s the only reason they got divorced but biblically it is her right to leave. God is working on something awesome for you Michel Love you and thank for what you do!!
THIS☝🏼❤️😊
Thank you, this is the comment I was looking for. People love to pick and choose verses they feel fit their argument and ignore the rest. So frustrating. Seems those people messaging her have ignored this mention in the Bible.
Not only that but if he wasn't actively trying to correct his mistakes & make the marriage work & just wanted to leave then that is not on her. And now just seeing the videos side by side Michel is in a much better place here!
Michel- I’m in the same season of life as you. Went through a divorce as Christian who tried everything in her power to make a change, but had an unrepentant partner. You are a gem- and don’t let anyone else make you feel otherwise! Open the word of God and see how much He adores you.
From a Christian perspective, I can say that there is no shame in getting a divorce and getting out of an abusive marriage, ESPECIALLY since the spouse cheated. Blessings to you and don't listen to other people's opinions on your life.
Another Christian here who supports you 100%. I just came accross your channel today. I cried with you and wanted to just give you a hug when you shared your pain. I am about 20 years older than you, but all I could think to myself was "so much wisdom and grace in this girl."🤗 Your are beautiful and lovely and so mature and I wish you all the happiness with Jordy. I am so glad you two found each other. Keep shinning beautiful soul. ❤️
Baby girl, the emotional days will come and go for a very long time. We just have to learn how to live with them. It's normal, even years from now, to mourn the loss of the life we thought we were going to have. Just know that you're in a better place. You are allowing yourself to heal. That's better than a lot of us do. I'm so proud of you. I hope and pray the absolute best for you in life.
The people that can't follow you anymore, due to "Christianity", in my opinion, need to consider this; did God decide to stop loving you or forgiving you? No. He tells us to show grace and love to everyone. Also...it is NOT your fault. I am SO proud of you for standing up for yourself and getting out of a toxic relationship. Is divorce God's perfect plan? No. Neither was sin, but here we are.
I love you, Michel. I love to see your growth.
Thanks for commenting. It resonated with me. Your sentence it’s normal, even years from now to mourn the loss of a life we thought we’d have. So so true. I love this community and the support not just for Michel, but for everyone.
@@LStottmann I still mourn the marriage with my children's father, even though we have been divorced for many years. I mourn that they are having to grow up in two different homes. I mourn the fact that I won't have "that" marriage that celebrates a 50-year wedding anniversary. Some days, I will still have tears.
I am remarried to a wonderful man that takes such good care of us. He knows that I love and respect him to the fullest, but he he also understands that part of me was broken by someone else's actions. He understands that, because of that, I can't give him all of me. He knows.
I pray that Michel ends up with a man like that; one that loves and respects her to no end;
We are broken. We are not whole. BUT GOD!!!
@@sarahburton2777 I am not remarried and the littles are with me full time. But it's the same situation here and exact emotions you described.
It kills me that it still stabs you after all these years and remarriage. I know for a fact that's how it will be for me too it's just how do I withstand that? The emotional toll it takes seems like it would do me in.
@@sarahburton2777 My four favorite words in His Word: "But God..." and "He knows" 💝💝
@@blueseptember2174 It definitely takes an emotional toll. You know what, though? It just means that we have loved deeply and with our whole hearts. It is more sad not to have been able to do that at all.
I pray that your heart will be healed. God does have some pretty strong super glue. lol
That bridesmaid dress is actually beautiful withOUT the sash! I think that it sits perfectly on you
Your authenticity after leaving that relationship behind has really been shining through and I absolutely look forward to all your videos more so now than ever before. Stay strong and continue to grow within yourself. And thank you for opening up to us. Your videos are like a chat with an old friend and I love them!
The montage at the beginning so beautiful to me and wholesome for some strange reason . The music selected helped 🤗
Always love your intros for your videos, especially the little montages. It's a lovely touch, you really welcome people into the video (and into your friend group)
Those who have “un-friended” you for sharing your journey back to a healthy life, mentally, physically and emotionally were never your friends. God bless you, Michel! You are so brave! 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Hold your head up high and be proud that you were strong enough to walk away from a toxic relationship. Being true to yourself is more important than worrying about other peoples judgements. Have peace in knowing your healing and becoming an amazing loving person ready to take on what the future holds.
I just have to say. michel you are literally the most normal and refreshing CZcamsr I have come across. I am in awe of your maturity and I’m sure, there are moments where you may not be your best self but regardless of that I would just like to appreciate your strength and your personality. You’re only 24-25 and so mature and it’s inspiring. Although I found you through the video on your divorce I have binged your videos and would just like to mention that I hope you never lose your sparkle. I have watched your videos before and after your divorce and I feel like you have really mellowed down a lot and I hope with time you find your fire again. You’re an amazing person and I am a follower for good now
Christian here and you did absolutely nothing wrong. You wanted to work things out and he did not. He cheated on you. You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of or feel bad about. You gave it your all and he simply didn't want to stay and work on things as your partner. To those who left because you got a divorce, good riddens! They needed to go! You don't need them following you and their negativity. You have a loving following, who care about you and only want to support and love you. You don't need those few negative souls around here. We love you and support you and are cheering you on in this new chapter of your life! Thanks for being so real, genuine and vulnerable with us. We LOVE you Michel! ❤❤❤
I saw your divorce video and I can totally relate to you. I was in a marriage in which he cheated on me, more than once. I didn’t know until we separated. I never suspected it. I kept quiet about it on my Facebook because of how people judge. But then I watched the series Dirty John on Netflix and realized I had nothing to be ashamed of. I told my story and my Facebook friends were so supportive. I haven’t been able to date yet, 2 1/2 years later because of not knowing I can trust again. So, know you are not alone and anyone who would say bad things, are not your friends 💕😊
Love you, friend🤍 I actually love the dress without the sash, it compliments you so well and looks so pretty and classy for a wedding🥰
Michel - do not worry about those who were going to unfollow, unsubscribe you because you got divorced and dared to talk about it. Who are we to judge others? It really upsets me when people use religion to feel superior. I do not follow any organized religion but I follow the tenet of "being the best person I can be" and being kind to others.
Roman Catholic here, fully supporting you! You’re beautiful inside and out. I feel God’s presence when you speak! Stay strong. Be gentle to yourself.
I'm 60 and love tap and keep saying I'm going to check with the local dance club to see if they have an adult tap class!! I've never tapped but would love to cause it seems like so much fun!! I don't want to do any shows or anything you know that the kids have to spend rediculous money for costumes on though! I just want to dance!!! You rock Michel!! Keep being the sweet kind soul that you are, love you chick!!
Seeing you cry made me cry. You are such a strong and beautiful human being, inside and out. I’m so sorry you had to go through all of that but know in my heart that your future holds only good and I can’t wait to see it all happen for you ✨
I'm proud of you for getting a divorce. Because divorce is scary, but I think of it now as a gift. My life is so peaceful, simple, and full of joy since I left my emotionally and verbally abusive husband. Wishing you the best, be kind to yourself. ❤
Atheist here. I believe one should be good to themselves and others because we should lead with love. You led with love, for yourself, by exiting a relationship that no longer served your higher good. Human beings can enter into moral and spiritual contracts with others, with hope, commitment, and the best intentions. However, we cannot control someone else’s thoughts, feelings, or actions. When situations change, becoming toxic, please allow yourself permission to protect yourself; mind, body, spirit, and soul.
You’re amazing. You’ve grown so much in the last year, in another year when you look back in retrospect, you will be amazed at yourself.
You're a wonderful person and an inspiration to me, thank you for always spreading kindness like honey 🤍
Sending all the love your way, Michel! Thanks for sharing your life with us. You’re a breath of fresh air 🖤
Michel, you are such a beautiful soul! You can definitely see God’s work through your wisdom and grace. I have been binge watching your videos since I saw the first one. You’ve inspired me to want to achieve more in my life! Thank you for inviting us into your life💕 I feel like you are the best friend I never had. ❤️
You deserve way better girl! keep smiling😊
I hope these videos are helping you heal. Always sending you love and hugs
We love you, Michel!!!! ♡♡♡
Hi Michel!!! I just wanna say how much I admire you!! You have a beautiful soul! I love you. And I watch you all the time. I always look forward to your videos! You’re my fav to watch!! Because you’re so transparent and kind and you always want the best for people. And you have been through so much, but you didn’t let that make you bitter, instead you keep growing kinder and wiser and nicer every day. We need more people like you! And I hope you keep learning how much you are worth more and more each day. You deserve all the happiness in this world. And one man, would be so so so so lucky to have a beautiful woman like you by his side!
thank you so much for sharing your life in such a kind and intentional way, I have been loving watching your videos.

Awww. I'm glad you shared to helps others. It takes courage to say these things! The sash looks good too!
Your vlogs are so polished and well thought out. I appreciate all the effort you put into them.

Very proud proud of you Michel.👏❤️🙏🏽
I get the impression that you’re very intentional with your close friendships and that those you’ve chosen to keep as friends are very lucky to have your friendship. Every video you talk about taking time to go see friends. I hope it’s helping you heal and recreate this new life you’re living. Wishing you the best.
Michel. I also love love your videos , just so well done and so honest. Thank you for sharing ♥️
I just saw your channel for the first time today. Although I don’t practice any particular religion- your divorce video moved me. The way you spoke and how respectful you were with your words brought comfort to me in times- as I have been in a relatable situation. You are never alone in your pain 💓 The sun will shine for you again 🌞
I like that your content is relatable. And I find it calming. Weirdly. I think u are strong for sharing your story! Sending hugs ❤️

I am so glad I found you and your channel - you are the most beautiful person inside and out :) xx
Sweet sweet Michel,
You are absolutely not to blame. It is phenomenal that you share. You are a billion percent helpful to so many of us ! Thanks so much ! Hope you have the best week ever !!
You are a beautiful strong young woman. Keep moving forward into the life you deserve.
Thank You for your courage to express yourself! In the back of our minds we get worried that people will make us feel like it didn’t happen that way! Thanks for standing firm in your own recollection of past events!💜
You're so wonderful and there's a strength in vulnerability and change and you're doing not only so well but I feel you need the reminder you're doing your best. 🌻❤️
No sash - It's more elegant without. The sash makes it more sundress-ish.
Michel! Love love love your videos! You’re awesome 💞 Keep creating🌹
I am always impressed with your poise and grace. You are amazing and continue to do what you are doing.
I love your videos. I support you throughout your life.
Sending you love!! I connect with you now more than ever because you’re so honest and vulnerable.
Also, obsessed with this new fashion era for you. It would be great to see a feminine French Parisian haul!!
I just love how authentic your vlogs are lately, even if you feel you don't have things under control, you are being authentic about it and it is so refreshing Michel. You're right where you are supposed to be, you are loved, you are enough. ❤
I have just walked away from a toxic relationship (on both parties sides) and I 100% support you. I am a Christian too and though not married he is the one I thought would be the one. I supoort you and I am 100% grateful of you being open about hou journey through this season. I have found it so beneficial to help me on my own journey 🥰
I love your videos. They are so well done and so enjoyable to watch.
Love tap!!! It's the happy dance! I have seen some sort of heavy pieces of tap performed, but most of them are rather spunky and upbeat. Good on you for taking yourself to a happy hoofing class. .
The editing choices for this video... 👌👌👌👌
Great work!
I am so surprised by the negative Christian comments you mentioned. The greatest commandment is love your neighbors but our human condition is to judge others. Thank you for your honesty and your strength. I really feel like you are helping so many with your story.
I just found your channel so randomly from your divorce video & I will just say that I love your vlogs, so refreshing to see someone who seems so genuine and shares their feelings, life turbulences, and the good parts of life too 🤍 you are so beautiful inside and out & I can’t wait to see when you look back at these videos and realize that everything turned out just fine & for a reason 🤍✨ hang in there girl!
SASH FOR SURE!!! And you are such a breath of fresh air. Literally i am in 100% support of you. You are truly my idol. I have really bad crippling anxiety/depression and spend a lot of time inside. You are my motivation to go out and do social things. You have helped me so much. You are genuine and pure. Like girl, you are incredible. I’m so proud of you for over-coming the hardest chapter and really thriving. GO GIRL!
Obsessed with the dress and shoe combo! I also vote for the sash! You look amazing and you’re GLOWING. Better things are coming your way and one day you’ll realize none of this was your fault. We’ll be here supporting you all the way ❤️
I was having a bad week but your video made me see there is still hope out there
I am so sorry you received negative comments, especially from the Christian community. I am Christian and we can do so much better. Thank you for your honesty and authenticity.
I’m so proud of you. None of this is your fault. I’m so happy for you to be out of such a toxic space. You’re being so intentional and have been so inspiring to me. Thanks for sharing.
I'm proud of you, Michel! You are a beautiful role model. Haters are going to hate. Love the dress with the sash. It looks more like a dress then a nightgown with it. ❤️
Are u kidding me... yeah she is beautiful but not a role model for sure ... and this ain't no hate for her but it's high Time to get over and done with the emotional torture .... she needs to get herself together go our there and live her best life ... instead of always thinking about what's lost ...
I’m a new subscriber. And I’m loving this! I went though the same thing I lost some Christian friends due to my divorce. Thank you for speaking about this. I feel better. GOD knows and sees it all. How great is his love! You are a beautiful woman that loves the lord and you will overcome this. My favorite scripture is Ruth 3:11 “And now my daughter do not fear.” I always say that scripture when I start to feel down. Loving this channel.
Michael I just recently started following your CZcams channel and I can honestly say I only created an actual account to be able to tell you that you truly are an amazing woman. I watch your channel and feel as if we are actually friends. You are in my prayers and only hope your days get better! Just know that God has bigger and better plans coming your way💓🙏🏻
Love the shoes and i think defijj no itely yes! For the sash! Looks great! Very proud of you taking tap class in to your own hands finding a new studio!
Prefer it without the sash as it can wrinkle more easily with it! But beautiful either way💕
No belt for your dress . Nice video , thanks .
Thank you for speaking out against the stigma of divorce especially in the Christian community! I have been following your story for awhile and it parallels my mother’s relationship- except she stayed married for over 35 years due to fear and stigma. Now she is in her 60s and finally managed to get out and is starting out from scratch after decades of misery. I am SO happy you were able to get out now! You have your whole life ahead of you, the world at your feet, and there are so many men that would cherish you and treat you well! I am so grateful that you are speaking up and sharing your story even though it is not easy; you embody what every true Christian should aspire to! People who stigmatize your divorce or send hateful messages truly do not understand what you have gone through but know that you are helping so many people just by sharing your story ❤️
We ❤️you! You are 100% a class act!!
Love u michel thank u for sharing this vlog today 💜
You’ve inspired me to look into taking adult ballet classes!!! Love you ❤️
Thank you for your platform, your videos have been lifesaving honestly. Your story is similar to mine in several ways and it’s been very healing for me to be able to watch and listen to your story and experiences. You make my day! Thank you so much, I love you! And about the divorce Christianity topic, I’m glad you mentioned it as it is a negative stigma. As a practicing Catholic Christian it’s amazing to see your journey with God and it’s brave of you to share that part of your life. Thank you for all that you do!! 😍🥰🤗
You are Precious in His sight🌷
I love the shoes and dress with the sash! So cute!
