    I'm a sales rep in the commercial HVAC industry, and this video really brought it all together. We do a lot of packed rooftops, but I was having a hard time conceptualizing the refrigeration cycle not as an indoor and outdoor section. Makes sense that they wall off/seperate the two portions. Thanks for everything Ty, have learned a whole lot so far!

    Hi , great fan of yours, I took your course last year, still eagerly waiting daili for your videos. One quick question , yesterday was working on a ac having 410a , manufacturer says to charge with subcooling 10, checked and subcooling was 12 , but inside instead of having txv it was a fixed orifice. But as u taught we charge with sub cooling when we have txv right ? And also the unit didn't had liq line filter dryer.
    Thanks

      Look carefully on the tag, it usually says " indoor txv subcooling......10"
      Meaning IF it has a TXV indoors that would be the subcooling.
      However a fixed office you will need to first look at superheat and target superheat.

      @@love2hvac thanks for the help , being a new tech learning a lot from you, 1 more doubt, yesterday went on a service call 1.5 tonn 410a ,fixed orifice. was totally frezed , so switched the system off let the ice melt fully, checked air flow it was good. Target superheat was 21 , and my superheat was 61, checked subcooling it was 8 , nothing was mentioned on unit so assumed subcooling 10. Please xan you help where the problem is

  • @realestateservicessaleshea99

    That unit looks like it's hard to access while in operation?🤔

    so on this particular system you check by super heat or subcooling? based on that weird metering device.

    • @love2hvac
      @love2hvac  Před 3 lety

      It's still a fixed orifice so primarily superheat.

    Great video sir! One question, are the switches I see on the high side line both high pressure switches? I may be looking at it wrong. Thanks in advance.

    • @love2hvac
      @love2hvac  Před 3 lety +1

      I will have to look, when there is one its usually a high pressure switch. Opens on pressure rise. When there are 2 on the high side one is a high pressure switch and the other is a loss of charge switch, opens on pressure drop, similar to a low pressure switch. I'm not sure wich one was shown.

      @@love2hvac thanks for the response. I can't say I have had any yet with a loss of charge switch. But I'm still new lol. Thanks again!

    Please talk about compressors operation and what the normal temperature should be and common problem compressors get .and what you look for to keep compressor last .no body talk about the temperature of compressor out there is the hart if the system.why some small refrigerator coolers compressors are so hot to touch .?????

      I will be doing much more on compressors in future videos, also diagnostics. During the electrical.

      I don’t know how but instead of making this comment on a different video for another subscribed channel it sent it to yours lol. Sorry about that. I’m a Hvac/r service technician in Rochester, N.Y. and just wanted to let you know I like the way you teach and that what you do for our industry is great in getting new techs into the field with the correct knowledge! Keep up the good work!

    This is High superheated line it pressure is different temperature is different we have fir nrv on liquid line then we can take liquid pressure change the pressure temp chart again we have to take aqual liquid line temperature then we can get delta t or subcooling
