So after a few attempts I was finally able to record this low-pitched Model 2. I was always told they do daily blasts, but apparently it’s only a monthly thing that happens on first Saturdays at Noon. As for the low pitch, I’m not 100 percent sure what’s going on, but if I had to guess…it’s probably a 240V Model 2 that’s only hooked to 120V. My Model 2 peaks similarly at that voltage. The pitch also stays constant, and has sounded the same way for years.
Brandenburg has a nice mix of 2001s and Model 2s. You can find this siren at a lift station on the outskirts of town. It’s also not too far away from another low pitched siren, Maukport’s Model 3. Towards the end, you can actually hear it run alongside some distant 2001s in Harrison’s County’s system.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!

Model 2s have to be the most consistently sick sounding sirens out there (that alliteration was crazy).
honestly you're right, and it's always kinda turned me off from them (though 2ts are cool and fedelcode versions look creepy AF)
Your right two but they look cool
Sounds quite healthy! Seems as though the voltage is the issue here.
damn that thing is definitely underpowered
This was originally recorded on my birthday, awesome! I myself recorded my first T-128 on that day. 😊
Good job! I love T-128s.
Sounds nice!
Damn, sounds underpowered
Nice
The nearest model 5 is in Avoca NE it's inactive, the nearest active one is in Nehawka NE
They need to hook it up to 240v
I have a Canadian model 2
Yeah it’s underpowered so I wouldn’t consider it sick. Still sounds very healthy despite it running on half voltage.
Wow, sounds like the voltage input needs to be fixed.
But still, awesome Video Brandon!
It sounds more like it's a 240 volt motor running on 120.
I would assume the capacitors to the motor are quite old.
Looks like this is a 220 model, and their running it on 110. Anyways, nice video!
Due to the fact that its underpowered it sounds 6 port
I thing its not sick. I thing it is a 240v on 110v
What’s the address to this thing
