"Creep" Radiohead - Live at the MTV Beach House (1993)

- So in order to fake a multi-camera shoot, we had to ask the band to perform the song 3 or 4 times in a row, moving the camera to a different location for each take. I don't think Thom liked that very much... When they were done they suddenly started to play "Anyone Can Play Guitar" so we had to rushed and turned the camera back on! That video is here 2nd song is here: • "Anyone Can Play Guita...
- Zábava
"I don't belong here" sounds very appropriate with this song being played at a fucking beach house on MTV.
I was thinking the sameeeeeeeeee JAJAJAJJAJAJA i guess that house was a CRAZY FUN HOUSE and the song is very very sad. (sorry x my english)
Your English is better than what my Spanish would be lol. Your English is fine.
I have no practice enough, for that reason I think that I could be wrong. Thank you :)
Your English is definitely not great, but I understood what you said. :) For someone who hasn't practiced much, it's not bad.
Your first post is good as it is (at leas from a quick glance), but your most recent reply has some mistakes. What you should've said was, "I have not practiced enough. For that reason, I thought that I could be wrong."
I hope I didn't make any mistakes in correcting you lol. It's possible. Keep in mind that many of us Americans struggle with our own language lol. English is a terrible language. I'm not sure how what used to be considered a peasant language became the most prominent one.
MacGuffin what kind of hairstyle he has
Ah yes, perfect music for a hot summer's day at a beach house.
What a perfect time to be alone with your thoughts and insecurities

This performance representing introvert's feeling in every party.
It’s not that deep bud it’s actually positive and about loving yourself!!
@@pablosalaices4459 can he not have his own interpretation of the song?
Thumbs up
Hahaha relate 😅🖐🖐🤣
@@pablosalaices4459 they say thats what its about, but looking back at the history, this song was written in 1989 by thom yorke himself, its actually him following a hot girl around until she noticed him and struck up a conversation, so basically hes a stalker in the situation, the song is actually based on a true story.
Little did the crowd know, that in just a moment’s time, they were about to witness musical history
"DEEEESStinyy.."
the calm before the storm
i was little and I was in the crowd and instantly asked my friend who this was and he was like idk but they are insanely good!
Also, three more creeps
If you think this was musical history, you're hilarious. I watched it "live" on the first broadcast and it was quite boring except for the 10 seconds he yelled like he was being electrocuted through his tiny balls.
this is probably the weirdest setting possible for this song :D
Lol WORST place to play this song too!! Butt it workkk
@@maximusp210 Yorke must have thought: "What the hell am I doin here ??? I DONT BELONG HERE !!!!!!"
19Marc79 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 def!!!! No wonder he sang with so much passion n looking miserablee..he wanted to get the fuck out of thereee!!!! 🙈
The 90's was a weird generation
True
“What the hell am I doing here”, so iconic for this venue they played, spoke true and I think that’s why this is the best live performance of this song ever.
I think how out of place they are adds to the impact
but it's the one with the worst sounding setting probably, and the band is known for having a really good
sound live
@@progisloveprogislife4501 guess the band did it on purpose, they hate this shit so much
And once the song starts the whole “beach house” vibe dies. I love it.
😂😂
Yep hahaha
I love how the guitar is screaming while he is singing calmly.
I know I love the guitar
That guitar is the best part of the song. Jonny G is the best Radiohead musician.
His name is Jonny.
He would not be singing calmly for long
@@ilyenamaru bruh 😆
The irony of this performance is golden
Anthony Cooney it’s ironic because this is a song about being a lonely MF yet he’s performing at a beach party house...
Anthony Cooney that makes sense, either way still one of the most spectacular songs of human history, rock on brothers!
@Anthony Cooney speaking of isolated
It fits in perfectly with his last line "I don't belong here."
it isn't ironic. the situation literally fits the song to a tee
EVERYBODY IS HAPPY AND HAVING FUN then radiohead play creep

Gonzaa Rmt yeh

I love how Jonny dropped his pick and reached for it on the floor at 2:18 like nothing happened. True performers
I'm notice right now , that's professional
Yeah that was very cool 😎
Fuck! I didn’t notice that! Well spotted!
Lol it's not really anything special, any decent guitar player could pull that off.
So good !!! But you must hear “ Live Not Survive” by SLT 🤘🎶🎧🎸🔥

Having to perform creep at an MTV beach house must have been weirdly ironic for Thom.

It looks like the crowd didn't quite know what they were witnessing.
They had no idea.
Because they had to watch it multiple times. Read the description
Too young to appreciate

This comment is pretty funny because you can think it in the way they they were witnessing one of the most alternative and artistical bands ever perform their most commercial song, which they totally hate lol

Thom really did not belong there like he says in the song
The "run" run is fantastic here. Best of any performance, including the original studio job. Wonderful and NOT easy! Thank you, Thom!
*Thom
There is such.... beauty in his breakdown. Every time. He doesn't care how weird or uncomfortable. Because he is weird and uncomfortable and refuses to be anything less than himself. It's absolutely perfect. Yes it's weird. It's perfect. All I see is Thom in his own head. What he presents on stage might as well be Thom when he privately freaks out about something. People who try to cover Thom don't understand. It's not about trying to be a misfit, and hide how strange it is, or overtly display how strange it is to make people accept it. Either they will or they won't. It's about being absolutely, seriously, painfully honest, and reveling in the things that make up yourself, and to not ever settle for anything less than what you are. I love this band.
You know he hates this song...
+Zac Marshman If I had to play it that much I might hate it too. But At least at some point in his life it was relevant to him, and in some ways that makes it ok. By far it's not their best song, I agree. hehe... Subsequently, I bet Jack White hates Seven Nation Army. ... songs lose import and validity when they are overexposed.
I think that's a pretty good psychoanalysis. Check out the Noel Gallagher interview where he disses among other artists-Radiohead. What a happy man he is.
+G. Levine Thanks! I love Noel's blatancy.
+comreality it's like when one finally realizes the acts of appearance are not as fun as being strange. then your beautiful world opens up, when instead of trying to fight the way weirdness, that society will deny it's a part of them, you embrace it, feed it.

Feelings are so 90's bro, get over yourself...
That's because if you were being constantly recorded by somebody, the camera they would be very visibly holding was large enough you could successfully chase them down and beat them to death with it.
Kind of quaint, stupid as this setup is. No phones that you could live your life through. No more than 2 or 3 cell phones among the bunch, almost certainly only in the hands of MTV people running the show, with the singular function of being a phone.

Yo, this blind guy did it great
MTV could not have picked a worst setting
+un11verse11 the name of the song is CREEP. he saying he DOESNT BELONG. so it's SUPPOSED to be weird and out of place
Good point Fino, good observation. Plus, Thom HATES playing this song. Even though it was their breakthrough song (and was also a ripoff of "The Air I Breathe") is why they hate it while their much more complex and original songs aren't as in demand. They took the riff from The Air I Breathe , added moody lyrics and the cool bass "THWANK" and it became a hit. They expected any of their other songs to be their breakout, not this one that they put together in like 6 hours.
Might be right I've never watched it. However it is a well-documented fact that Radiohead freaking hates playing creep. They consider it one of the worst songs they ever wrote
Thom said it himself at the ending
" i don't belong here"
He says he doesn't play it because he hates it or whatever but I don't think it's a coincidence that - while not complex musically, is vocally one of his most challenging songs.
I love how everyone notices the situation and no one vibes they are still as they witness this, everyone is silently appreciating and watching closely
