    Have you tried these Precision Rings? If so, did they really help you, or would you pass on them?

    Personally I use the green rings with control freaks on my left stick together. It’s been helping me all year before the update and only enhanced my gameplay after the update

    I started using them a month or 2 before the update and they've really helped me. I was a .240s hitter last year on all-star. This year I'm hitting in the .290s on all-star and HOF so they've definitely helped me. I don't think that improvement is solely because of the rings, I think experience and getting better at picking up on tendencies has helped also so a combination of those things.

    Great vídeo. I’m definetly going to try the green ones. I had previously tríed them but they were impossible to use at fielding. But the actual pci sensitibity is such that it is worth to try. You might have to make another vídeo on how to slice them😂😂😂

    Another option is the Xbox elite ll controller. It’s only for Xbox but you can adjust the sensitivity of analogs . It has definitely improved my hitting. The controller is around 150$ tho so it’s definitely an investment. You can also alter what buttons you want. For example I change right trigger to be by A or normal swing button.

    I liked the idea of these for hitting, but it did make it too difficult to field. And, because you are using so much more pressure on the stick, your left thumb starts to slip as your hands get sweaty. I am curious to try them after making them smaller to see if that makes it a little better.

    It might help with pci placement at the risk of sacrificing defense. I gave up using because of defense motion also being limited.

      They don’t look very difficult to take on and off... why not just put it on for offense and take it off for defense?

  • @Ho-ran

    I tried the softest rings and still could not field well. The fielding aspect alone turns me away from them and I think its just better to condition your thumbs to hit without them imo.

    I love the green rings for hitting but fielding and pitch placement is a little difficult it just seems a little slower than normal so for me at least the trade off isnt worth it. Its lts hard to secure the kontrol freek with the ring on. Just my experience though

    • @stangalanos5712
      @stangalanos5712 Před rokem +1

      Agreed. I can see how they prevent jerking the PCI, but I can’t get to balls with Mantle in the field. So I know it’s killing my fielding speed. Also can’t even come close to high fastballs or outside sliders that should be hittable

    One thing, is that these will work differently on Xbox and PlayStation controllers, just like Pinpoint pitching works differently on both controllers.
    I used these on a PS4 last year. They helped a little, yet at the end didn’t use them. Also, when I used them I had one controller with them for hitting, and one controller without them for fielding and pitching.
    I get that some don’t like the PCI update, yet the PCI update I think works great TBH. The PCI update is causing issues for some as it throws people’s timing off, which is making them late on pitches/giving them weak content. The PCI update removes their timing advantage, which they don’t like.
    Realistically, the issue is not the PCI update at all, rather SDS has messed up pitcher values this year, which is the real problem. Hitting overall has been down this year both pre and post update. It is due to pitches having both 102/outlier and 125 h/9’s that has caused hitting to be much harder. That is the real problem SDS has caused this year. What they need to do to fix it is top h’s/9 at 110 for any pitcher with outlier. For pitchers like Maddux/Hershisher they should have h’s/9 at 125, yet not pitchers with outlier. SDS has made the game no fun by having pitchers with 125/h’s and outlier as well.
    Lastly, I believe SDS has some bugs in their actual hitting versus PCI display feedback code. The PCI display feedback and where contact on the ball was made is not correct. As the game is a simulation, parts of the code are single-threaded, the actual hitting and PCI feedback being two areas. The PCI feedback code is code dependent on the actual hitting code which then passes the x and y axis of the hitting code to the PCI feedback code and says draw a circle, here and here. The code has some timing issues (I believe) that cause the PCI feedback screen draw code to display incorrectly times, even though it would be correct in the actual hitting code that runs prior to the PCI feedback draw code (and monitor timings and other timing issues could also make the PCI feedback draw code look more suspect than it really is.). What you see in the PCI feedback is not correct all the time, and is more of an approximation, and error-prone, yet the actual hitting code is more correct.
