It's understated by lots of people including the anime but Toji not having ANY Cursed Energy is HUGE for multiple reasons. A lot of them will be explained in the next episode (or two) but the one in this episode is that kid Gojo noticed him. Toji never had anyone detect him behind them but Gojo could because of his Six Eyes technique.

gojo was 16 here, hes 28 in s1. also, i can see why u think riko and gojo wouldve made a cute pair. Any girl who doesnt fall in love quickly with the supposedly popular attractive dude is fanfic material 😂. Gojo literally said fuck everything just to let her have a future. she the first weak person, he genuinely cared about thus where he got his quote in s1 and movie - "no one is allowed to take youth away from young people"
