wow...even on broadway Pia outsings the others. There was a time when I didn't really like Chicago, but the more I get into this musical, the more I appreciate Pia's funny but strong interpretation of the role.
Shows that she can play different rolles. She dominates the Chicago score easily. Her monologue could have been a little bit slower. She explained her story too fast. Nevertheless: Great job.
I am totally in love with the rendition of POP and the whole number. pop was so hilarious. so much better than the movie's. chicago is supposed to be funny.
@sarizonana How can you compare a movie against a theater performance? in a movie the shots are taken several times and a lot is edited, but theater is live and they can not do a scene over and over again. You can have a good comparison when CZJ will perform it also on Broadway, untill then you cannot compare those 2 together. I just love Pia, she can do everything I think,. for me she is the number 1 in the theater. Have to admit, CZJ did a good job in the movie, but Pia wins for me.
