    These new videos in the woods are nice. Relaxing background for the useful info.

    Great tips James ☺️ Inma’s work looks really fun. I’d love a video about SEO

    Great video! I'd recommend changing the title to make it clearer that this video is about improving artist/portfolio websites and common mistakes. A lot of artists struggle with making a portfolio website and I think more people will click on this video if they realize that it can help solve their problems

      Usually I would think about it this way, but as I learn more about what works on CZcams, I find that those kinds of logical and obvious titles get a lot less clicks. This video is on track to be my most clicked ever, and I want to share the info with as many people as possible. So I’m trying to balance clarity with playing the CZcams game. I appreciate the feedback though, and I’m glad you clicked!

    This video has helped a lot, as all of your videos do! I would be really interested in hearing about SEO. It is very rarley talked about, and I think there is a large majority of your followers who would be interested and benefit from content surrounding this and similar topics.

    I really enjoy your videos - as an illustrator, who recently have gone freelance, they are really helpful. Especially with all the great examples. And so interesting with the seo as well!

    so good! Thanks, man... I never thought about putting more than one image of the same project on the first page, I thought it would be repetitive, but I understand, it's a way to show my best work in the simplest way possible... I for sure have some work to do for my portfolio

    Great tips, adding a paragraph at the top of mine! I had just divided my site into 2 different media pages, wondering now if that wasn't the best strategy. I wanted some consistency but have multiple media. Amazing park too, would be a great sketch place!

    Great advice and wonderful videography. Thank you James. I got most points on this list except the photograph in “About me” section. Other artists have such nice workspaces, I just have a desk with a computer on it lol

    Thank you for the tips. I took my website down cuz I thought who wants to see this?? Lol. Working on my confidence, being seen is a work in progress.

      I think lots of artists struggle with confidence at some point. My confidence goes up and down. I think you should put your website back up, but just keep your favourite pieces, and then work on some new illustrations in the meantime. Good luck 👍😊

    It wouldve been a little more captivating if you showed screen shot of how inma applied the tips on her portfolio. Still a great video tho! Been following you for awhile, love your stuff!

    Great video with nice, easy to apply, tips. But why is no one commenting on how beautiful this park is?!

    Hi! I just found this channel and it’s very interesting.
    I have a question and sorry if it has been answered already, but… is it necesary to post on social media your work?
    I’ve been trying to post to reach more people, but I’m literally clueless and already exhausted of trying to follow the algorythm
    Is it possible to work for this field without being always on social media?

    • @TheIllustratorsGuide
      @TheIllustratorsGuide  Před měsícem +1

      Social media can be a useful tool, but as you've rightly observed, it's exhausting, time consuming and frustrating! I think you should post work there to have an archive of your progress, but nothing beats direct outreach to clients. Don't worry about social too much. Concentrate your efforts on finding real clients directly. The followers and likes will come organically once you're working on great projects with clients
