Just bought this game and I must say the opening chapter is one of the most action packed, thrilling and visceral openings I have ever played in any video game. Amazing.
I swear this is one of the greatest games ever created. i love this game. everything was perfect for me. the first god of war was fantastic, the begining was WOW. the second was better than the first and the start of that game was FUCKING WOW. the the third one is fucking unreal. the start of this game is just amazing.
Jim Morrison They'll remaster it for decades, but they won't remake it. Especially not in the way that I'm asking for it to be. But who knows, with Ratchet and Clank and FF7 maybe there's hope.
this is my first gow game I just played through this game on ps4 today and I gotta say I am quite impressed with the graphics, gameplay and overall presentation I cant believe that this is a last gen game lol
LiangHuBBB You should play the first two as well if you have a ps2 or ps3. I just bought the GoW Collection. I wanted to play them again but I sold my ps2 copies some years ago. They are all awesome, you can't go wrong.
When I got to that guitar Hero part I was almost ready to friggin give up on the entire franchise. lol. But it would have been a shame, the epicness we've seen in this game I have never seen on anything else, even movies.
Everyone keeps saying that the PS3 has no great exclusives. Well, I myself being an owner of all 3 consoles, I can say, the only franchises that the 360 has going for it are the Halo and Gears of War series. Mass Effect is good too, but I got that for Pc. Instead, the PS3 has Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, God of War, Killzone, Final Fantasy, Heavy Rain, LittleBigPlanet and soon the FF13 spin-off Versus. I don't know about you, but that gives me more reason to get a PS3 than a 360. Bluray too

Why did you bring up HD-DVD? The format died quickly and no games utilize it. If Xbox 360 owners want 1080p then they'll stream it from their PC or just download it with Zune in the Marketplace.
I owned a 360. It is a great console...if it doesn't crash. Mine crashed twice. After the second time I sold my 360 to a friend for 30 dollars who wanted to refurbish it. I bought a PS3 and have never had a problem. There's great games on both systems, but I'm absolutely STOKED for this game.

a 9.0/10 is what it deserves, it's just an HD god of war. It's not bad, it's actually pretty good for a rental, but it doesn't live up to even 10% of the hype PS3 fanboys have said.
I never expected a 10 and any one who did should wake up. God of War I & II were both some of the best PS2 games, but honestly, a 10 should be a prestiogious award only handed out a few times a decade. Metal Gear Solid 4 is the only game this decade that truly warrants a 10/10. However, I do think a 9.0 for Gow3 is just insulting, I wish Kevin VanOrd or Chris reviewed :S I mean. Seriously Tom, Story doesn't pick up until end? .. This deserves a 9.5 and you KNOW IT!
@horby123 well, there is a glitch to do it, go into combat arena set all the settings to chaos or titan and get strong enemies and die alot of times, it will ask you to change the difficulty then quit & start a new game, and you will have all the weapons, Helios head, Hermes shoes and bow fully upgraded from scratch except for the blades of Exile those you have to upgrade,
I don't see why people gush over this game it's good but I regularly encountered glitches or frame rate drops and I button mashed through almost the entire game
i hate to say this but the reason why god of war 3 had a 9/10 is because of the storyline and in the end it wasnt really that special because he killed himself and people expected the ending to be a little bit better, and the game is not really long also it was a little disappointing because of how he lost his powers again and had to regain it back. lastly zeus could of killed him earlier in the game but it looks like he gave him a chance to be strong

There aren't many favourable reviews around for this game. A lot of reviewers complain that it's just "more of the same". I'm glad Gamespot gave it a good review. It's the best God Of War ever in my opinion. Everything is pushed to the max, the sense of scale, the amount of boss battles, the gory finishers. I played all of the games from the beginning and even I didn't expect it to be so awesome!
dude I had a glitch where the path to hapeastus turned to a pit of death I had one where the fire titan didnt smash open the way to the ballista that u use to shoot helios with I also had a glitch where posiedon's hand swipe could magically fly through gia's solid stone finger, and I once fell through the middle of her solid stone hand right in the middle of the fight. And the frame rate drop happened when ur fighting Zeus and gia comes and eats u...it lasted five minutes and it was terrible

I'm assuming that on our 2nd playthrough it will be with the blade of olympus and all the action scenes will use it as well as we saw in the end instead of the blades.

This is when gamespot started to give games less score than before, it all started in 2010. In fact I like it this way because it means that a game that would have been a 10 out of 10 or 9 out of 10 in 2008 is now a 7.5 in gamespot's system. For gamespot at the time, he gave it an amazing score.

Those games are som different. If you like fast paced action, you should pick God of War. If you like slow paced games with a good story and multiple endings you should go for Heavy Rain. Personally I'm going for GOW.
There are a ton of games that are better than the Uncharted trilogy in my eyes. Not saying the games are bad. They're absolutely amazing in my book, especially 2. As far as Sony exclusives go though, I'd say God of War 3, The Last of Us and Journey are better.

Completing GoW Collection and playing GoW3 you can really see the details in it. GoW3 look so freaking detailed and life-like. I am in awe.

The PS3 really has the best exclusive action adventure games with nice graphics too.
But the 360 to me has some nice shooter games as well.

Actually every PS store in Kuwait have the game, however if you still can't find it ,its available online on the PS store ,it is that simple

the game looks like it has more DOF and Motion Blur then the E3 demo of the game.
The only flaw that I see in it was the whole pandora "hope" bullshit part of the game.
