I would say, generally, women will always ask men if they find the other people they dated attractive even if it has no consequence to the relationship because a.) they just want to confirm the fact that they're attractive, or b.) they're feeding into their self-hatred by comparing themselves with other women if the opposite is true. The media is always pitting girls against each other, and all women have that self-loathing to a point thanks to society's stringent beauty standards of women. I just came out of a Situationship like this. I caught all the feels. He on the other hand, was doing just fine. I don't advocate for it. Mine didn't end up a disaster as most suggest in the comments, but my heart definitely got broken, after I finally understood that he was not serious. And even crazier...I was the one that cut all the ties.
In relationships like this, you may go into it with the mindset of " it's just fun" but believe me, your heart don't know the difference between playing games and the actual thing. Someone will catch feelings and hearts will be broken.

It's human nature to want more though so it's not really something to "get over" as it is something to work through. It's not as easy as that because, sure you feel happy, but it's not always going to be like that for the other person as well who might want more or want something else entirely.

Exactly. This is what people call a ‘situationship’ now and basically it’s all the perks of dating someone but without the commitment so you can 1) Easily cut things off if you meet someone else 2) Sleep around with other people and it not technically be cheating. I ended up in a ‘situationship’ for about 8 months with a guy who told me he loved me, constantly brought me around his family, and even asked me to move in with him but wouldn’t commit. Eventually found out why when I came over late one night and there was another girl in his bed. 🙃
