Enjoyed the video served my time on the yard 1980 intake, left home (Barrow) early nineties.
Interesting to see how things have changed. In my memory I remember that part of the dockside full of small shops, welders leckies etc, our workshop on reactor squad, also their used to be a but where apprentices went Friday afternoon to complete log books for the week. All before the DDH.
Still get back to see my parents, but rarely venture down to the yard, quite shocked by all the changes to the dockside.
    Thanks for sharing, appreciated.

I don't speak to them even if they identify themselves, I'll be polite enough at first but where I come from anyone approaching and questioning you is not taken lightly, for the simple fact it's none of their fucking business and unless/until I commit a crime, nobody has any reason to be anywhere near me, let alone reeling off questions trying to find out everything they can, it's something nobody with good intentions does. Only someone looking to sell you something, or fine you for something digs around like that with complete strangers uninvited.

They know pretty soon people will be taking to the streets looking to completely strip them and the government of their power to fuck us as they have done for decades. And they fucking should be. Should of hit him with a quick question before the first security guy departed. Asked him if he was aware he,s in breach of a road traffic act for 2 reasons, parked on double yellows and also blocking full use of a pedestrian footpath.

How many people does it take to harass a law abiding photographer? It’s ironic that they always mention terrorism when they are the ones doing the terrorising and trampling on people’s freedom.

    • @mat12128

And yes it is terrorising, imagine what it would be like for a female or youngster or even just a normal bloke who does not know his rights. And that is why i love my job

Many traffic violations there. There' double yellows on the bridge for a reason. "Seen as you've got your pad out, how about taking these drivers details."
