Amazing story of a powerful women!
CCD had about 2000 cafes in point when VG Siddharth died. Most of them were high rental and loss making properties which were increasing debt with every passing day. She closed about 1500 such loss making stores which was much needed. Also they sold some stake in other businesses to repay the loan.
I am sure with currently operated 550+ stores they will become profitable at company level and repay most of thier debt
Indeed it takes a lot of courage to manage company in such a crisis so hats off to the lady.
this cant repay the debt and interest ok 7k crores, get serious.
2000 stores were having the debt of 7k crore and now she sold the 1500 store that means 75% of the business is sold and debt is still 2k crore. So very low chances of repaying the interest cost with just 500 stores and making it profitable.

Loans are down by Rs 5000 CRS in just 2 years where Carona restrictions are still around. Business cannot function in normal way.
If repaying loans was so simple, why did Siddharth committ suicide. Dots not joining. Something is missing. That's where TV reporters these days have lost it. They are paid for such PR activities. Show complete picture as per convience of their Client.
They have closed 1500 loss making cafes and also sold some stakes in other business to repay the loans. VG siddharth was not willing to close the loss making stores due to emotional connect with the brand... Hope it clarify

I'm crying because all those four cafes have been closed where I worked.i was riding the bike visiting the cafes but I didn't find any. My heart broke and cried. i had worked here for 2 n half years.Why cafes disappeared all my memories disappeared. Alaknanda, kalkaji, M BLOCK, MASJID MOTH,............. MISSING
Same happened in my City Ranchi.earlier there was around 6-7 outlet of CCD and now all are permanently closed

That's quite contradictory. When Corona was nowhere in sight,VG Siddharth committed suicide because he saw no way out.
Ms. Hegde took charge in December 2020,when most of the businesses were finding it difficult to survive, and not only did she manage to survive but paid back a whopping 5300 crore .

U said this lady hegde brought up the company with hard work, that means her husband used to go to the office to sleep or clap or do party to ruin the company, and where was this lady, was she blind or spending money or tied up in a room, so she was not aware of the situation. Was she waiting for her husband to die to take over, just can't understand the whole dilemma, after her husband's death thing's change. Or she did not have a say in business matter. According to the anchor lady worked hard and man did not, so he failed in business.
