90's early 2000's were the Greatest Era of kids movies!!!
Nostalgic
For FAMILY movies.
Or for Western Animation in general
Agreed
yup nowa days its all wokeism and building off of those movies pretty much.
90’s & 2000’s movies may have been able to learn from the mistakes of past films, but the 80’s had grit and more realism, even for kid’s media. 80’s takes the win
I love it when Phil came back for Hercules and gave him words for encouragement. That's the wisdom of words indeed.
Some people can go to the distance why can't Hercules can? Fortunately he did.
Until he met Kratos
Better trainer than Mickey Goldmill or Doc Louis!
Hi how's my old dance teacher people yells he's a god 🙏
Some people can go to the distance why can't Hercules can? Rip English.
Thank God! Friends always stand up to one another 😢😢😢😢😢
The look of disdain hercules directs at Meg during his "Dreams are for rookies" speech to Phil was profund. like you can tell he's feeling hurt and betrayed.
Phill is a great coach, I’m glad he got a recognition at the end he deserved that. Through it all he came back for his boy he really cares and loves him his words of wisdom is everything Herc needs to get back at his feet be the hero everyone loves. The lasts words of this movie was That’s Phil’s Boy, indeed he is💙🦋
Phil is new Mickey and Hercules is new Rocky Balboa
@manuellim6284 yup, I agree with u on that one my friend.
Op yes. The tears he shed near the end solidified who he is. Like a father figure and good coach of a fooltball/hockey/basketball team!
Liked how Phil came back for Hercules and gave him words of encouragement.
really wrapped up that plot point in a couple of sentences, such a sht movie
Mickey loves you
I love Phil so much, he is one of my favourite Disney characters, so iconic. This scene when he conforts Hercules always make me cry.
I used to watch this movie so many times when I was a kid, and still watch it to this day.
Me too. I watched the VHS so many times that the tape twisted in on itself
Same. Still one of my fave Disney movies
Me Too & It Is Definitely One Of My Favorite Disney Movies Of All Time Especially For The Honor Of The “100 Years Of Disney (Disney: 100 Years Of Wonder)” :-)💯🤩😎🥳🏆🛍️🎂🎉🎁🎈🎞️📺🎥🎟️🎬📀🧀🥤🍿
Me too ❤
It's amazing hercules survived that beating despite losing his strength.
Plot armor 😎
He only lose his god strength, not his physical body. He is a son of GOD, and going through extensive trainning in 10 years
@@superspies32a god, not God.
There’s a difference.
His body still remained strong by human standards. Like, he trained for years, he was a strong man nontheless.
He would have eventually but I think he had enough in him to outlast an average person. He wasn't exactly in peak condition when Phil got there.
I love how he turns into a boxing trainer mentality even with the towel 😂😂
That's an intentional reference to Rocky. The films that were cited as inspiration for Hercules were Rocky, Superman and Karate Kid.
I have seen it argued that Phil's motives were selfish since he had dreams of getting glory by training a hero, but what convinced him to come to back help Hercules wasn't glory; it was that his student was going to die.
Yep
I 💘 how Hercules fights the Cyclops WITHOUT his powers and STILL wins, which proves Hercules is a great hero.
The art director really knew how to portray deflation. I don't know if that's in part an attribute of this smooth like pudding style, but you can see it on the worn out Hercules
In the end it was that sluggish, clutch style that won this battle. He didnt have thunder in his guns for an amped right hook. He was Superman 2
Superman 2?
@@a.artmaster8733 Clark Kent gave up his super powers in the movie. Remember? But he got them back to face General Zod
Lol imagine the Titans tombstone; “Here lies One-Eye, he was indeed a pushover.”
'Here lies Polyphemus. He was a bum!'
"Here lies One-Eyed Polyphemus. He was a pushover of a bum!"
"He won't listen to me."
"Good! He's finally learned something."
Bwahahahaha.
"Look, I know what I did was wrong, but this isn't about me, it's about him! If we don't help him now, he'll die."
Phil: 😯
@@Tsubasa2030 I NEED MORE THUNDERBOLTS!!
Hephaestus has been captured, my Lord, everyone's been captured! I've been captured! Hey, watch the glasses!
ZEUSY IM HOME!
Hades? You're behind this!?
This is actually one of the most meaningful scenes in the film Hercules knew that if he didn’t Face the cyclops people would die and get killed but instead he chose to face the cyclops
Not only that. It's that he had to realize that "going the distance" is more than being a hero when it's easy or when one has super strength or any other advantage to fall back on. He took down that cyclops when he had nothing but determination. Then Meg taught him a lesson in love, which helped him reach the next level when he returned the favor and dove into that hell to save her.
@@Kamina.D.Fierce”when he had nothing but determination” and cunning given how he stunned the Cyclops with a torch in its eye and killed the Cyclops by tripping it
I love how Phil came back for Hercules
Ah back when I was a kid. I loved that movie. I'm sure my future kids would love that movie as well...hopefully
Better to show any future children older Disney movies first
Hercules is rather underated in my opinion - the characters are great, and not to mention the fun, the story and THE SONGS!!!
Nope, he got lots of marketing products and other stuff back in the day but everyone says underated just because is a trending word.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time!

1:45 Megara:"Hercules, Look Out!"
1:47 Hercules:"Meg, NOOOO"
Wish Disney kept making movies like this learned a lot too from them oh well
This never stops making me cry 😭
"I'm willing to go the distance, how 'bout you?"
I can’t believe that this is the same Zeus voice actor who was Zeus in God of war!! What a range!
Dang reallyyyyyy
this is my childhood film ill never forget this great movie
bruh I will stand by this movie till the day I die

Phil: Hercules!
Hercules: Phil.
Phil: Come on, kid. Come on. Fight back. Come on, you can take this bum. This guy's a pushover. Look at him.
1:04 Hercules: You were right all along, Phil. Dreams are for rookies.
Meg: People always do crazy things...when they're in love.
Hades should be more careful with his deals. The deal was "SAFE FROM ANY HARM". That deal would have been broken instantly because Meg clearly suffered an emotional harm immediately after the deal was made.
I'm surprised Hades didn't put her in an indestructible prison room to keep her "safe".
Phil out here with time's most uncomfortable pillow/upper back support
My favorite movie ever ❤
Mine Too :-)
Meg is best Disney girl.
I’ll say!
Pain and panic should have their very own spin off television series starring Nick Kroll and John Mulaney
Or Key and Peele
Or just the original voice actors.
"Herc! Whats the matta with you? Use your Noble phantasm Nine Lives Shooting Hundred Heads against him! You need to go berserk like your berserker class to defeat him"
RIP Rip Torn
This is the Interpretation ofZeus that should’ve been in Thor: Love and Thunder if comical was what they were going for.
Meg: Hercules look out 👀! 1:44- Hades deal is broken. 2:03
ZEUS! Your son has returned. 😆
I bring the destruction of Olympus!
(A good phrase in God of War 2 & 3)
Hercules fighting that monster without monster without powers is quite something
Shame that Disney movies were so much better back in the day! I don't think anyone could have captured hades like James Woods.
I love this for film and can be quite articulate
So... loop hole, she got hurt, deal is broken, Herc gets powers back, neato
...could she have just... at any time like, cut her finger or stubbed her toe or something and that broken the deal?
Hades needed to be the one hurting her. Since the deal was about Hercules giving up his strength for one day for Meg's freedom from Hades' clutch.
Since the quasititan Cyclops was the one responsible for Meg's injury, Hades was the one that broke the deal, even if indirectly.
@@HoughStone That sounds stupid. Hades didn't make the pillar fall.
@@djantouahmed7319 no he didn't but he did tell the cyclops to go to said location and destroy the place and the destruction caused by him caused the entire area to be unstable leading to the pillar to fall, for an example of something running on similar logic if a General of an army ordered a soldier to sabotage a buildings structural support so that it falls over, if the building falling severely injured a random person, could it not be said that the General caused the person to be hurt?
Haha, I was actually thinking the same thing.
Easily the BEST character of this entire movie! A coach with some fatherly like advice, despite how he acted in the beginning!
First rule when fighting a cyclops, always go for the eye.
you know i never noticed, but when Herc was fighting ol'one eye, his suit repaired its self
1:27 😂😂
I’m glad Hercules is strong again
Hercules got his strength💪back since meg got hurt thus breaking the deal with hades.
I wonder if now strong again what the fight would be with cyclop . They seem there strong the same
I hate that this movie is rather underrated for a Disney movie
At least the Kingdom Hearts Series gave it many love
That flying horse looked like it's ready to kill something, he looks so angry
Angersus.
I love this movie.
Me Too :-)
Shouldn’t the titan just got back up there pissed? Did that really end him that fall?
Also no..blood everywhere Meg is crushed she’s dead no discussion
Did you expect her brain all over the floor? Lol
They can't exactly show something like that in an animated family film.
Internal bleeding
Children's movie
0:57 Blood. You can actually see blood dripping off of Hercules face but it’s a blink and miss it kind of deal.
Can't wait to see how hercules does against thor
Hercules made sure to clip his vest before tripping him with the rope
Hercules really need his coach Phill to win without powers. This was his biggest step in my opinion.
He got his strength back.
0:37 Zeusy I'm home!
That little fiery-stake-in-the-eye seems to me a reference to the Odyssey
Basically Roman/Greek version of Marvel’s first Thor movie
Actually it's the Ancient Greek version of Superman The Movie.
If the deal is that she wouldn't get hurt, then wouldn't Hercules get his strength back if she tripped and fell? Since the deal was that she would be safe from ANY harm.🤔
This was equivalent to a boxing match where the heartbroken champion whos lost confidence and self esteem is getting his arse kicked by a large brute boxer but then his coach comes along and eggs him to fight back
A James Woods character and meg in Hercules seems more family guy to me
To think this is a animated Disney version of Superman
you cannot tell me they were not mocking fat people with that titan
Peter: Shut up Meg
Phil sagte noch dass alle scheiterten , und auch hercules war dran... Fällt mir erst jetzt auf
0:21 I don't care, James Woods can shove it, funniest scene in the movie *right* here.
Damn I never noticed that LOOK he shoots Meg when he say “dreams are for rookies” that had some venom!
Megan soo cute 🥺🥰🥰🥺🥺🥺🥺
1:26 (LAUGHING) (SCREAMING) Whoa, baby! (YELLING) (CONTINUES SCREAMING)
1:45 Hercules! Look out! 1:47 Meg! No!
@@ismailal-abdallah7732 (GRUNTING)
That is why Dreams Are for Rookies because Of Meg She lied Everything to Hercules!
1:07 exactly.
I literally saw herc bleed a bit from the mouth
I always wondered how the cyclops would have handled Mount Olympus of Hades hadn't asked him to look for Hercules.🤔 He's the only one who doesn't have super powers regarding nature, just maximum strength.
“ME BITE OFF HEAD HAHAHAHA”
“Bite this, bright eye!”
“AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH”
Oh!
2:05-2:12 not Meg!
Remember when DC thinks story is far more better than promoting LGBT stuffs. Good old days
Poor Hercules.
1:48
NO!!!
Me: Not Meg!
Why am I crying??
0:58 Ew, blood in his mouth
So what people have blood
"Zuesy Im Home!!!"
Wouldn’t have Meg got absolutely insta killed by that marble pillard
Phil is basically Hercules 3rd father
She’s 30. He’s straight out of his teens. FYI
Hercules is most likely an adult,18 to 22 probably but yeah meg is 28
@@hastiborhani3492I thought she was 26 or somethin’.
@@hastiborhani3492 he's 18
Imagine a twist ending where Kratos shows up and just fuckin merks everybody
Good job good luck and good life 👍🥳
1:26 It looks like you're not laughing now. Are you Cyclops?
The fact that his thunder bolts have to be made in a forge is kinda dumb
So some random guys could just punch meg in the face then the spell would be broken?
Rome's Pillars.📜
Herc ate 1:02!!!
I still think 2min after Hades left Meg should have kicked a wall, thus getting hurt and breaking his deal
1:27 1:35
А где синяки только что же были у Геркулеса рядом с глазами?
Okay i'm sorry but honestly give the sheer size and obvious weight of that pillar there should have been a big mess from the inital hit. Even if it was just her lower area, which also raises the question did her body magically heal when he put her soul back in it?
There's so many things wrong wrong with this Disney flim, but if you don't know or study greek mythology, it's a good adaption
0:08-0:12 👌🏻😂
1:12 feels like a Rocky Balboa reference...
Nah I'm done fighting.
Oh no meg
1:48 😱
