  • Grand Central Madison (an extension of Grand Central Terminal) to host LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) trains can be confusing to navigate. This video presents three different track platforms as illustration; Track 301-302, Track 303-304, and Track 203-204. Basically anything 20x (201-202, 203-204) are on top floor while anything 30x (301-302, 303-304) are on the bottom. To exit the platform you need to be in the middle floor which is the LIRR Mezzanine. From there you have option to exit out either by elevator or escalator to Madison Concourse (or LIRR Concourse) which is an underground tunnel interconnecting the Grand Central Madison and the rest of building; Main Concourse, Dining Concourse, Metro North Upper and Lower Levels, subway station (S, 4, 5, 6, 7), and street exits.
Why is it called Grand Central Madison? Because regardless of which exit to take (the 44th, 47th, or 48th Street one) they end up at Madison Avenue. In this video I use most common exit as illustration which is the 47th Street and Madison Avenue. For the rest of the exit you may check out the followings.
