Literally made console FPS games cool (yes there was Goldeneye but let’s be honest, controls were tough, Halo made controls for console FPS games good and easy)

@@poob_ian4448 only thing I wanted was some kill barrier and soft barrier exploits e.g the auto scroller in arbiter, there is a spot if u walk into it the enemies won’t know ur there but it’s a 5 min auto scroller

When I played this game as a kid If a marine died I would reset the checkpoint it hurts watching him gun down his own dudes
He kills them so he doesn't have to wait for them in certain parts of the missions.
Killing marines is my favorite pastime

@@atlasfp pretty much, largely a lot smoother and you can get a higher frame rate out of it

The strategy he uses on two betrayals isn't possible on the old version, which would be about 2 minutes slower at most.

the developers of halo reacted to this speedrun and its actually a really cool video to hear them talk about making it and them being ashamed at all the glitches and clips

He kills the marines in the second mission because the goal is to rescue all of them, so he would have to wait while they get rescued. He kills them so the mission goes faster
He kills some of the marines to skip their dialogue as well.

First shooter game I ever played, first game using a controller with two thumbsticks, and only second game that I was entirely invested in for the story as well as gameplay (first was Ocarina of Time). Love it.

First halo I ever played was Halo 3 ODST and it’s extremely underrated In my opinion
It’s my favorite Halo game. If I put in the time, I could speedrun it and get a decent time

Noah to be fair Halo CE is pretty beloved. I play zombies now but my gaming world began and always will be with Halo
Im very interested to se how he speedrun one of the hardest level on legendary in Halo CE (The Library) and avoiding getting smacked by those Rocket Floods
They're more of a problem on the level after. There's only a few on the library with rockets. Far more on two betrayals and many of them in awkward positions.

That 360 turn rather than driving straight is actually a legitimate speedrunner strategy to avoid the hog nosing down and flipping over or stopping your momentum when you do that jump.
Halo 1 warthogs nose down heavily when they get air time, so doing a 360 keeps them stable and you don't lose forward momentum when you do it.
That's legitimately the fastest means of going off that jump.

To do the backpack reload you gotta double tap the reload button then switch weapons. Works with every weapon with a mag except the shotgun

The 360 Warthog jump looks showy, but it’s actually safer to do once you get consistent. You’ll never flip out if you properly land the 360, but you could flip out if you just go straight.
