    Hi there from Vancouver Island. My middle name is "Mairi" and my daughter's first name is Mairi. "Mairi" is the correct Gaelic spelling for this song. Well done on your rendition of the song!

    Interesting version of a classic Scottish song ,Bannerman wrote the original song in Scottish Gaelic and it was called Màiri Bhàn "Blond Mary" The version you are singing has the English lyrics written by Hugh S. Roberton of Glasgow Scotland

    "Passed Away"- where I heard this delightful, joyous tune -A real gem of a song! - with 2 extra verses, specifically
