All the people saying Sasuke should have won hadn't seen the entirety of Yu Yu Hakusho. Hiei is one of my all-time favorite anti-heroes as well as ridiculously powerful son of demons. Being that he could Traverse through the Living World and the spirit world is also another advantage. He on a world that did not have the restrictions that Earth has. I haven't seen the entirety of Naruto but I doubt Sasuke has that ability but prove me wrong.
Well I have not watched yu yu but what you're saying is that hiei is part demon and part of the underworld that's something Sasuke isn't Sasuke is human that is summoning spirits and power from the other world he hasn't trained in there at all however he does go through dimensions I believe he has some kind of power like that to where he can fast travel to a lot of places in the world through his eye but in doing so takes up quite a bit of power from him so he's on a time limit when he does but yes he's human compared to his opponent in this video yeah when you bring something unworldly to fight someone who's human it becomes a tough battle I'm surprised Sasuke did as well as he did in this battle given that he was up against an unworldly demon
I mean I know its probably true that Hiei should have won, But looking at this video again I see so many things they didn't include for Sasuke, like the obvious ability is setting izanagi to set off after he died like Madara. I dont think he ever did Planetary destruction. And he didnt even use all the powers he did against Naruto, it just feels like they left out a huge chunk of Rinnegan abilities. Hiei probably still would have won, but I think Sasuke could have done a bit more if they included the massive array of abilities he has.

Kishimoto loved Yu Yu Hakusho so much that he literally decided to name the nine tailed fox Kurama AFTER our boy Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho. So yeah, I'm sure he would be totally fine with Sasuke getting his ass handed to him by Hiei (who, let's be real here, is one of the coolest characters in animation history)

Yu Yu Hakusho never got near as much love as it should’ve, and in some ways still could have today. Lots of great action and lore that could be better if expanded on just a little more. I was totally rooting for Hiei to annihilate that punk Sasuke. Very nice!

Togashi actually regretted ending Yu Yu Hakusho the way he did, saying he ended it early because of his own selfishness. I'm not sure if he got wind of his impending health complications and wanted to get a jump on Hunter x Hunter, or if he simply got tired of writing YYH.
YuYu Hakasho changed my life when I was 8 years old. I'm 31 now. Hiei was always my favorite character.

This is one of there best DeathBattle to date. No bias, no random numbers, actual stats and explanations and incredible animations and voice action. This video proves that DeathBattle can make great videos like theses, while I loved the Madara vs Aizan video and Madara will forever be my favourite villain in anime history. Aizan definitely should’ve won that fight. But to me idc who wins or loses as long as I have a fun time watching them :)

TBH... that first First of the Mortal Flame should have just straight killed Sasuke. I just don't think people get how frail Naruto characters actually are. If they aren't using some sort of defensive technique you can literally kill them with a pocket knife yourself. Why very few of these "Narutoverse vs X" matchups makes any sense. The moment any character for most other verses touches these guys early in the fight... it's over. If a character is fast enough to hit them before they can do anything about it... then they die.
And that’s what all these fanboys don’t understand. Naruto characters don’t have actual durability like how YYH characters do where they literally can just tank crazy attacks while we have Sasuke losing his Rinnegan to Boruto with a kunai.

They wanted tf out of hiei considering it’s made pretty clear that yusuke was getting stronger while fighting yomi and at that point hiei is no longer relevant to him considering yusuke had a combat level of like 220k I think at the start of the tournament and yomi had like a 500k+ and we don’t really know the difference in strength between those levels.

What this death battle got wrong is that Sasuke without Susanoo can’t actually take the same amount of damage Naruto can even with their base forms in mind. Naruto can take a lot of punishment, Sasuke knew this so in their last battle so he took the offensive to try and wear down Naruto as much as he could. We’ve even seen this with their battles against Momoshiki and Ishiki. Naruto can take head on attacks and be fine, Sasuke can’t unless he is protected by the Susanoo.
Another thing is that they didn't even factor Sasuke's rinnegan displacement or his skill with genjutsu to avoid attacks either.

Wait people still think Sasuke killed Itachi? everyone who payed attention knew Itachi died because of his disease.
If Itachi was healthy, even if he went easy on him there was no way Sasuke could win at that point in time.

Rezuvious technically not the disease. His illness hindered him really badly in that fight, along with being almost blind. That said, he could still have mopped the floor with Sasuke if he wanted too. He had full control of the fight and was letting Sasuke win for the entire thing (which was his goal) until Sasuke used Kirin, which Itachi actually had to use effort against to survive (he even says if he didn’t have Susanoo he’d have died). By the end of the fight, what killed him was a mix of being terminally ill already and pushing himself so far, as well as being barraged by Sasuke as intensely as he was. His body just gave out in the end due to exhaustion
Rezuvious also forgot to mention, he planned on dying in that fight regardless. His goal was to make Sasuke a hero and set him straight after he achieved his goal. He knew the illness would eventually finish him off, so he picked the fight with Sasuke so that Sasuke would kill him first, and could move on with his life. Healthy or ill his eventual goal was the let Sasuke kill him so he could go back to the leaf and get his life on track, as well as awaken the mangekyou. The illness just put a timer on how long he had before the inevitable fight with Sasuke, and he’d waited as long as possible
