Joker is so fucking easy to be slippery with, and Lucario is such an underwhelming character that didn't receive a lot of love in terms of hitboxes..
Armadillo definitely outplayed this one if it weren't for dumb Joker 💀

Wait! You can change direction with Lucario’s Counter?! By default, if you’re facing LEFT, he will travel RIGHT, and vice-versa. At 8:03, Armadillo had traveled LEFT while facing LEFT. I didn’t know you could do that until today. Also, Lucario’s Counter does not show up in the Tips section in Vault.

@@fluffyadit7899 the directions in smash 4 were reversed. you would come FROM the direction you were holding in, now you go TO that direction. i've sd'd more than a few times because i got used to how it was in smash 4

It also helps that it was buffed in Ultimate a bit; if you hit a projectile or long disjoint within a certain range the counterattack will warp relative to the opponent instead of being just around where lucario got hit. So like at 8:04 the counter moved lucario up vertically to hit Joker, where in Smash4 it would have just gone at the height lucario got hit at (also at 17:44)
