    The Katra - Banihal section of #USBRL project is moving with full swing and likely to be completed by this financial year , specifically by Jan/Feb 2024. Mostly the bridge(including #chenab & #anji bridge) have either been completed or in the final phase of their completion with provision of railway track being paved which is mostly BLT - Ballast less Track. Most of the tunnel have already been completed except 1 or 2 which are in their final stage. Track laying work, signalling work and electrification are being done in full swing. Minister of Railway is personally monitoring the final execution of this project, his last visit to chenab bridge was Mar, 2023 where in he was appraised about the progress also he briefed press conference there where he reiterated that train will start plying on Katra Bani banihal section by Jan, 24. All the stations in Katra Banihal section are complete except Sawalkote whose building structure is complete and finishing work is going on.

    Thanks for the update on the entire USBRL project. According to reports , T 1 tunnel near Katra would be completed only by the end of 2023 as excavation is being done through a very fragile limestone mountainous terrain

    Sir, we know now that the only hurdle in Katra Baramulla USBRL project remaining is Tunnel T-1.
    As per last authentic information the deadline for completion was Aug 2024. But now it does not like it will be adhered to. Now we all want to know what all work is pending in the tunnel and how many meters
    Benching should have been completed by now by30-50 meters is still pending and similar situation is with invert ribs which are been installed.Also lining work is around 100 meters pending. Now by when will all these works be done so that drainage, track laying, signalling. Electrical and other miscellaneous works can begin to finally complete the project
    Kindly update what all works are going on and of those works how many meters each is pending . With monsoon coming work will further be affected. The company should have used this time to fast track work and complete before monsoon

      every option taken are based on solid examination and considering all factors. Yes rail will be run safely on this section.

    sir, last time when you posted the video, I had asked you a question about anji khad bridge shown on the drawing which was straight, as i had thought it is same like other bridges it has a curve or camfer or reverse bm shape which i could make out from the actual construction thanks, your videos are really good and convey lot of information

      Thanks, Anji Bridge is straight as you judged correctly. Since it is hanging cable bridge, simple curve or reverse curve is not possible and will not be stable .

      Presently at Jammu and after opening of Jammu Srinagar Baramula railway you may get down at Srinagar Railway station. From Srinagar take a road vehicle of shared taxi to Baltal or Gagangir
