"Hard to Handle" by Otis Redding
Lyrics:
Baby
Here I am
I'm the man on the scene
I can give you what you want
But you got to go home with me
I forgot some good old lovin'
And I got some in store
When I get to throwin' it on you
You got to come back for more
Boys and things that come by the dozen
That ain't nothin' but drug store lovin'
Pretty little thing, let me light your candle
'Cause mama I'm sure hard to handle, now, gets around
Action speaks louder than words
And I'm a man with a great experience
I know you got you another man
But I can love you better than him
Take my hand, don't be afraid
I wanna prove every word I say
I'm advertisin' love for free
So, won't you place your ad with me
Boys will come a dime by the dozen
But that ain't nothin' but ten cent love
Pretty little thing, let me light your candle'
'Cause mama I'm sure hard to handle, now, gets around
Baby, here I am
I'm a man on the scene
I can give you what you want
Just come go home with me
I forgot some good old lovin'
And I got some in store
When I get through throwin' it on
You got to come back for more
Boy will come a dime by the dozen
But that ain't nothin' but drug store love
Pretty little thing, let me light your candle'
Cause mama I'm sure hard to handle, now, yes around
Give it to me
I got to have it
Give me some good 'ole lovin'
Some of your good lovin'"

Welcome to the official CZcams channel of the King of Soul - Otis Redding. As one of the most influential and powerful singers of the 1960âs, his songs âSittin on the Dock of the Bay,â âTry a Little Tenderness," âHard to Handle,â and albums âPain in My Heart,â âOtis Blueâ and âTell the Truthâ are beloved across generations and remain classics to this day.
Born in Georgia, Redding began his career at a young age in school choirs and bands and developed his raw and expressive voice. Redding signed with Volt Records in 1962 after they heard his rendition of âThese Arms of Mineâ during a recording session with Johnny Jenkins. Over the next few years, Redding released a string of hits, became a tireless live performer, and honed his songwriting abilities before his 1967 death in an unexpected plane crash. Redding became even more famous after his death with the release of his most popular track to date, â(Sittinâ On) The Dock of the Bayâ and his legacy as the King of Soul lives on.

Im 31 and adore big O , what an absolute legend x god bless you Otis x many women I have made love to to you music (lol) đđđ
This song was way ahead of its time! It was Overtly Sexual for that Era whn Censorship and "standards" exerted so much control over music. Im also BLOWN away that Marley Marl Sampled the intro of this songs for one of the GREATEST Hip Hop Songs of all time: The Symphony
I miss my baby
I ove that song
I woke up with this song in my head, no idea where it sprang from. I also had no idea that Otis Redding did it before the Black Crows. đ€Ż
He wrote it babe
Still relevant in 2020...RIP to a great and a legend! Thanks for the soul!

This song has such a lively energy to it. Every time it starts to play it just makes me want to move. I was born very close to when the Black Crowes version was released, which is a really good cover but the original is where it's at. RIP to the legend Otis Redding.

The Pop Group Black Crows did a Remake and they captured the energy of the song. However with Otis it was effortless, he sounds as if he is hangin out and flirting w/a woman abt his prowess. His soulful flow is more natural and believable. The Rock Group did an admirable job, scored a big hit, but ddnt hv the same credibility to make U feel the song in Ur soul
