Roddy Piper interviewing Bob & Brad Armstrong Bob & Brad Armstrong, Tommy Rich, & Mr. Wrestling II promo Ric Flair brawls with Tommy Rich and others join in
Lol, Roddy Piper was such a magnificent heel even when he started out. He had a great way of talking up "the good guys," just so he could tear them back down again, give them an underhanded apology, build them back up, then tear them down, & repeat. He's 1 of the great ones who kept kayfabe as long as he could, may he rest in piece.
@@Desstrik : I guess the plain cowhide boots that can be found still today that are (USA made or mexico) about 150-200$ were considered the cheapest ones that were then 20$ lol ..
Piper got on my nerves more than was good to . I would just turn the channel . It was not usable heat . I liked him in the ring , a lot . However on the mike he was prone to being " over powdered " and start squeaking and snort-giggling . You could tell when he was and when he wasn't . It was too hard to watch . In fact , his coke usage got him fired after Ole saw him doing a line . I would have to.
Most, 80-90% of Wrestlers in the late 70’s, early 80’s were all under all types of “goodies” & party favors. You name it, qualludes, uppers/downers, tuinol, Seconal, phenobarbital, coke (directly from the age of Disco!), and boatloads of alcohol consumption. Cocaine wasn’t all that prevalent among the guys back then, way too pricey and let’s face facts, the main Cats then weren’t bringing the heavy Freight home. That came later when that demonic lowlife McMahon stole the idea for Wrestlemania, gates got overflowed, hence huge contracts were to follow closely behind. And most “Common Sense” laden Cats could tell a Juice user and Juice abuser from the other participants. Not at all related as of much… but I do recall seeing STING (Steve Borden) take on Larry Zbyszko (Larry Whistler) at the now demolished Civic Center in Philadelphia, back in 87-ish and…. from my view up close, Sting had probably the most muscular, detailed, and full Back that I saw on a Wrestler. Lats spread wide, full, thick & detailed. I believe that Borden went stale off the heavy Juice usage when he done brought the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY into his heart and life. You gradually could see him steadily lose his overall size, thickness, muscularity and separation over time. He would never go shirtless anymore, don’t remember exactly when he decided to go with covered up spandex, but the decision to ‘cover up’, might have been from the higher up bookers and promoters back then. Look at before & after pics of Don “Magnificent” Muraco, Brock Lesnar and especially hunter hearst helmsley (Paul levensque). Gadzooks, Shazzam, Shazzam, Shazzam, & Heavens To Mergatroids, Exit Stage Left!!!!
If Ole fired you or told you that you’d never make money, then you became a legend. Piper went on to greener pastures and Ole was old hat in a couple of years.
1978-1983... By far the best era of wrestling!
facts and The Superstation at 6:05 took it to another level
@@TheTruth-on5zx ...Yep.
They made it seem so real and that's why we love this old stuff

Wildfire was the Hogan of the early 80s FACTS
Brad was young
Wonder what happened to put the armstrongs on the outs.
All right
Jumped him from the back wow
Chaos!!
Whats up with Vinnie Mac el luchador
Brad should have been a world champ
Now that's the gospel!
They should not have punished brad
The Armstrong's were unbelievably sad, no talent hacks. I rooted for every heel they faced.
Iron Mike Sharpe in the n.w.a., what?
bs he didn't shot again thr nature boy
Real tough guy attacking Flair from behind.
