it doesn’t if it’s done right and only the dead skin is cut . i’m a nail tech and i do a similar type of prep and i’ve never had any complaints

Don't cut ur cuticles like this. There is a reason why there is no space between nail bed, nail and cuticles........ Don't play with nature for some artificial beauty.
Keep in mind that it's not bleeding, the skin is still there it's just thinner. People who bites their nails are 100 times more likely to get an infection than that. Anyway personally I do that too but then I make sure that there is no gap between the skin and the nail polish (I like it that way) so nothing can enters anyway : by the time the nails has grow and there is a gap, the skin has already re grow too.
