      @@sixstringcity3931 yup, I'm thinking of doing several videos about dialing in classic rock and blues tones on a Boss Katana. I haven't found many CZcamsrs that talk about getting classic tones with solid state amps (other than Dave Simpson) and since so many people have Katana amps now it may be a good niche.

    I have a ‘66, all original Olympic White Strat. The tuners do not have plastic buttons (they’re all metal, vintage with
    metal knobs), nor do they have the “F” on the tuner housings. Serial # is 143 - - - , which puts it in ‘66. The neck
    date is stamped on, June 1966, while the neck and middle pickups are July ‘66 and the bridge pickup dates to
    October ‘66. These are all written in pencil by whoever assembled the pieces. The body also dates from ‘66, and
    it has an “F” neck plate. It’s real - and it’s spectacular, to paraphrase Terri Hatcher in that Seinfeld episode!

    Great to have you back with another great guitar ! My thoughts, for what it's worth, are that it's a late 60s partscaster, with the refin done in the very early seventies - a Woodstock tribute of sorts - to give it time to check/age nicely. Any olympic white original nitro finishes from that period would have yellowed [the top coat laquer obviously] considerably. Was this a white refin with a non-nitro laquer ? Really looking forward to seeing what's inside !

    • @quincy8159
      @quincy8159 Před 2 lety +2

      Most people that refinished their old guitars did it with car lacquer and just things they could find around the house. If refinished I would guess it's done with something poly/plastic or alike
