- On the South coast of Sri Lanka is the beautiful town of Mirissa. Mirissa has some amazing beaches AND of course amazing snorkel spots where you can even snorkel with turtles. In this video @lifenumber6 and I go look for some cool snorkel spots in the hopes of seeing some sea turtles!

The amount of coral reefs in Sri Lanka has seen a steady decrease over the years. One reason is coral mining where people take the coral out to make lime that is used in construction. This practice was banned in 1983 but probably continued because of a lack of enforcement.

At the very outset I like to appreciate you for your beautiful underwater video but it should have been longer durational . I loved your snorkeling 🤿 with 🐢 turtles but give more screen time so that your viewers can relish your mesmerizing beauty while you remain underwater .

Few Tuk tuk drivers use to loot. So do sum small businesses. They will charge extra.
Try to use Uber or Pick-me App.
There were no ubers or pickme available in Mirissa or Weligama, only when we went there from Matara could we find a pickme from Matara to Mirissa

The corals there were already dead before the tsunami 2004. As I see now, they haven't recovered.

You should honestly try uber or pickme instead of normal tuks. Especially in the touristy areas.
No Pickme in Mirissa or Weligama itself unfortunately or at least there were no drivers there! Only outside of Mirissa towards Matara we had Pickme and Uber options again!

Oww! you renting a snorkel ,that's a good idea because almost 20 persons using snorkel per day in that 20 persons atleast one or two guy got some corona or mouth cancer or aids so plz try to see the doctor.

South is not expensive, South of Sri Lanka is a ripoff...I hate those beach boys hawkin the beaches. Government should look into this matter before too late and nobody would go there in the future.
