Since God is omnipotent, He could figure out another way to achieve his goals than cruelty.

Given the fact that we are given choices and the younger we are we put our faith into our feelings and choices are not necessarily a good direction to go into the results of are
Fire choices that we make that are not perfect choices for we do not have all the answers we are alone responsible for the results even so God will come in and give Grace to us and guidance even in the hardest time. And I'm sorry for all of those who have heart breaks who have lost someone they love God is not cruells out human beings make bad decisions that has nothing to do with God's love or perfection God is not cruel..
PRAISE GOD ALMIGHTY FOREVER AND ALWAYS.

That's what free will is all about. Yes, He could have made us like dolls, but we are made in His image. With free will, and choices. Those choices sometimes lead to cruelty.

Sometimes is hard to distinguish between G-d's gevura ( severity ,judgement) and sometimes human cruelty. G,-d being in charge of all things even taking over free will just like pharaoh when He hardened his heart, or balaam when he couldn't speak curses against israel or turning all curses from humans into blessings. Question is how we overcome this situation between a wall and sword ? What do we have to do to appeal G-d in our favor when everything we do is righteous, decent ,kind ,gentle ,respectful? And in spite of all the good work some people just refuse to pay back the same respectful behavior? They always say ,respect others so we can earn their respect, why then doing everything right some people just refuse to pay it forward? Is it God's will to harden peoples heart with wicked agendas against respectful and kind people? Isn't honor and respect the moral compass of the world?h Has this generation lost respect fot every human being? Or is this all part of G-d's plan ? Making people behave in such animalistic behavior.

Agree, but I believe the answer is found in Genesis. The LORD G_d walked in the garden with man (mankind), but because of disobedience G_d could no longer "dwell" with man. There was a separation that some call sin. Isaiah says "all we like sheep have gone are own way..." . That is sin. Sin leads to separation from G_d (Hashem) because He is Holy, Holy, Holy. Therefore, Isaiah goes onto say that, " and LORD JEHOVAH caused the sin of all of us to meet in himself" Aramaic Bible in plain English. Isaiah 53:6
G_d seeks that relationship that He and we had in the garden. A marriage. A dwelling together ( to-get-her).

Why does God want a relationship with us? Why do we need him? Why do we need to exist in the first place? Why does God need a world that he doesn't really need? Why does God need anything? Who is God anyway? Why do i need to exist when no one asked me before i was born if i wanted to be born in the first place? Doesn't the fact that cruel things happen in the world prove that God enjoys being cruel to us? Doesn't the fact that God puts the evil people in positions of power, and let's evil people do whatever they want-prove that God is evil himself-who enjoys torturing his creations for no apparent reason? the truth is that there aren't any answers for any of these questions, because all the answers that have ever been given don't answer anything, and to all those answers one can simply ask again: but why did God decide to do what he does?

The answer was there is just hard to decipher a parable, the parable is a man says to a woman let's build a home together ," then she went to home depot buy supplies, then the man said what are you doing ? ,wife said buying materials for the house !,then man said I mean I didn't say build a house I mean marry me ,let's get together and build a relationship become one , a dwelling place for G-d is marrying us creatures abiding by his torah , torah is the direct word of G-d detailing very specifically the nature of G-ds relationship to this world . Everything written in torah is basically a love letter from G-d Himself. Full of beautiful poems ,songs, stories that helps us broaden our understanding of Him , how each individual character such as Adam, Abraham, Jonas, Eli, Samuel, Moses etc.. related to the creator of this world .He is there and at the same time not there , we can't see Him bor feel Him ,But he is presently within our lives in every thought action and speech. Nothing will ever be out of his eyes .G-d's unity is unbreakable we just lose sensitivity to His perception with our separation with sin from Him. Only sin separates us from Him.
