I got one from my neighbor girl. She is going to college n couldn't take care of it. 40 gal set up for $200 supplemented by my iguana gear. I based all my care on your videos and he is so much healthier and happier. Thank you. Edit: I won the iguana at a carnival. I would never buy one. I kept him on my porch because I didn't have the room and he escaped.😢
why tf did you compete for it then?? i hope you live in florida, because if you dont, that iguana is dead. its a HORRIBLE idea to let a tropical animal into a different part of the world. if you didnt have the right requirements for the iguana then your stupid asf to even compete in a game for it. if you didnt have any thing to put it in you shouldve gave it back to the carnival. UNLESS you do in fact live in a tropical area like florida. in that case itll be fine.

I have a 20 gallon tank and I was just wondering is that too big for a slapped gecko or does that matter?
@@Noah-fg2egI’m pretty sure it’s big enough as long as you have a tank big enough for Atleast 4 hides big enough for only 1 gecko

I don't know about Leps, but AFTs can do a little bark as adults.
I think they just get calmer and more confident as adults and they only vocalize when they're really afraid.
My AFT got out of his cage and when I found him in the corner and went to pick him up he gave a yelp and bite. He never freaked out being picked up in his cage and I think they just get less fearful as they get older ❤
I would love to see a video on how to make your own bioactive substrate! Im purchasing my first leo and would love to keep it as close to the wild as possible

I used to have a fire bellied newt male that was only about 6 inches long but at night he’d start grunting, he was really loud for such a small salamander 🦎🦎🦎
Excuse my typos but this is important:
My very 1st leopard gecko was given such bad care before I got her poor girl she wasn't given a humid hide because the guy told me "well I didn't think she needed one because I gave one to her before but she sister lay any eggs so I don't think she needs one" like what no it'd not just for eggs is also for helping them shed and they like it, poor girl after I got her she was almost always in there and shedding pretty often so that wasn't right she was also on only mealworms so when she got to us she decided no more of those I like Crickets now but she passed away after she got stuck eye caps then we took her to a vet they removed them they also showed me how she did loose some toe tips but they also made her go blind and then she never ate again,(needless to say I don't trust that vet anymore) but I tried feeding her but she just kept sealing her nouth shut and wiggles way too much and whatever i got in her mouth she didn't always swallow so she just woukd not eat and she stsrved herself only at 3-4 years old, this is why a humid hide is so so important, now I have a different girl I named her Cricket since she's not always a fan of being held and small crickets are her favorite food and she's doing fine no Shedding issues at all since he has a humid hide
I have 2 leos 11 months old and 1/2 months old I love both of them❤
My leo randomly squeaks every night. I don’t even have to pick him up. Lol.
The tail can only fall and regrow once or twice.

Late to the vid! But they can vocalize to adulthood! My little lady is very sassy and turning 3 soon, so fullly grown. But whenever i dont let her go somewhere she's trying to or if i try to check her tummy to see if any stuck shed she will make the little clicking/hissing noise at me and stare at me. Its best when shes telling me off for moving her away from something or stop feeding her when she wants more food
My Kovu, 3 yr male, is still very vocal; kinda sounds like barking and he is very barky towards our exotic vet. I also had a lot of issues with 1 toe in particular with stuck shed, our exotic vet recommend UVB lamp and haven’t had an issue since. I do use the snake
soak for help prevent stuck shed too.
Im goning to get one soon! Like, in a month or two. Imma name them Biscuit!
I recently got a fancy leopard gecko and I made a diy humidity home and I got a tub wet it cut a hole in it and put a damp paper towel under it so yea. But I love her her name is Lizzie

Leoaprd geckos do not lose the vocalization. My adults will vocalize randomly. Mine will also sometimes vocalize at feeding time if I'm running a bit late on giving it. They also make clicking noises in there throat if something isnt going their way (ex: turning sharply on your hand but your thumb is blocking and you have no way of moving it out of the way). Also, if your gecko isn't tamed (not used to handling), they will screech, I went through this with my newest leo which I shared on my channel (no promotion intended). They can vocalize for many reasons, but those are the main I've heard with my own.

Hi there. I don’t have social media beside CZcams to ask you a question. Sooo I inherited a leopard gecko. He is 2 maybe. Never had a reptile. First, do they give diseases? Also, he doesn’t like being held which is annoying. Also, what should I spot clean his house with(non toxic)? Is just a heating pad running 24/7 under a hide good enough? It’s just slid right und the hide. Also, you say they are soft yet this gecko is hard and lumpy. Sorry there isn’t much info online or it’s incorrect

Hi Kayla my son got a female she is a albino she had stopped eating but slept a lot I thoughtshe was dying cause she WASENT eating, I brought her out with me and I just realized I believe she cudnt see very good, so I hold the meal worm real close with tweezers & I see her smelling it ,she got wide eyed and FINALLY ATE IT & now every nite I make sure she gets a helping hand so she will eat thank God...just thought I wud share.. also the vitamin B4 is it I always available for her she does lick it ,it helps also.. 😊

I have a gecko leapored
One time i sneak a baby snapping turtle and until this day it lives in a turtle lake
my adult leo will still squeak at me! it’s the same kind of fussy about being held response, not so much when i pick her up anymore but when i have to stop her from climbing down my back lol
I know most of these cause when I was at my friends house his sister told be a lot and I never got peed on got lick trued following me around
They do NOT loose the ability to be vocal as they get older my girl still will hiss at me and she s bit over a yest
